Something not too often said about Bob Odenkirk's heart attack situation is that thankfully he didn't have the traditional A-list actor's mindset at filming where once they've done their scene they go back to their RV or room and don't stick around when the smaller scenes are being shot. He is one of the guys who sticks around to inspire the smaller actors in the episodes when the camera is rolling and that's part of why so many people were around to help him when tragedy struck
That's not correct. He was filming a scene himself when it happened. And only him, Kim, Howard, and possibly Lalo were in the scene. So it was just a few of the other actors there at the time.
Thank God Bob survived after the heart attack. Thank the doctors and nurses and everyone that helped. 🙏🏽 Better Call Saul is an incredible show. So happy we could see ole Bobby O finish off the series and see the writers + showrunners NAIL IT!
Not too many people have a heart attack and then work basically non-stop for two years afterwards. I hear that his new show is getting rave reviews as well. Bob is an amazing talent!
Better Call Saul literally helped me in a dark time. One of the best TV series I've ever watched. It's definitely just as good, if not, even better than Breaking Bad.
I feel like BCS is a smidgen less intense than BB and has a touch more comedy. I love Jimmy and Kim's slice of life antics and could just watch them without the other crimey parts involved.
@@andrewodinson3726I feel like Jesse was written as a background underdog but I feel like he really did an incredible job playing that role. As very emotional shots came along he did such a phenomenal job displaying difficult emotions, that really impressed me.
I ran away from home in 2009 at the age of 19. I ended up in ABQ, NM waiting tables and one of my guests was Bob. He was there with his kid. Great interview! He is very polite, funny and cute. He makes sure to talk to Jimmie and especially the audience. That is the sign of a good speaker. He clicks with Jimmie from the get go😀

I was in Blockbuster just after they put out the DVD for Mr. Show. I'd never heard of it, David Cross or Bob Odenkirk. Holy cow, I’m very happy Bob is recovered and doing well. I never knew he had a heart attack as I had just bought better call Saul on disc to hopefully see him one day and have him sign it 😊
Bob actually had a 'widow maker' heart attack too, which has a whole 12% survival rate when it's had outside a hospital. Even if you're in the hospital already and you have one, just 25% survival.
watching the clip from 'Lucky Hank' I would have killed for a teacher like that, telling it like it is but also trying to get the kids engaged. the kids looking at him in disbelief is such just telling of this generation!

Very few guests speak towards the audience... Bob engages the audience quite a bit, makes them feel part of the show
Yes! Always. I love that.
A lot of times the audience don’t know that they have rights. The constitution says they do. And so does he.
He’s a showman, he knows how to play to an audience no question

Bob Odenkirk created a character even more unforgettable than Walter White, which is about as extraordinary as it gets.
Imo, Saul is the most important character in the entire Gilliverse!
Agreed
I'd say Walter, Saul and Gus are the 3 most unforgettable characters BB/BCS (in that order).
