Not too many people have a heart attack and then work basically non-stop for two years afterwards. I hear that his new show is getting rave reviews as well. Bob is an amazing talent!

Something not too often said about Bob Odenkirk's heart attack situation is that thankfully he didn't have the traditional A-list actor's mindset at filming where once they've done their scene they go back to their RV or room and don't stick around when the smaller scenes are being shot. He is one of the guys who sticks around to inspire the smaller actors in the episodes when the camera is rolling and that's part of why so many people were around to help him when tragedy struck
That's not correct. He was filming a scene himself when it happened. And only him, Kim, Howard, and possibly Lalo were in the scene. So it was just a few of the other actors there at the time.

Better Call Saul literally helped me in a dark time. One of the best TV series I've ever watched. It's definitely just as good, if not, even better than Breaking Bad.
I feel the same way. They are such different shows and I love Breaking Bad, but BCS is really really good.
I feel like BCS is a smidgen less intense than BB and has a touch more comedy. I love Jimmy and Kim's slice of life antics and could just watch them without the other crimey parts involved.
Iam so happy for Bob's success he really deserves it. He is a talented humble guy there are not many guys like that sound kudos.

Bob Odenkirk created a character even more unforgettable than Walter White, which is about as extraordinary as it gets.
Imo, Saul is the most important character in the entire Gilliverse!

@@andrewodinson3726I feel like Jesse was written as a background underdog but I feel like he really did an incredible job playing that role. As very emotional shots came along he did such a phenomenal job displaying difficult emotions, that really impressed me.
I consider Bob's work in Better Call Saul one of the best I've ever seen. The role of a lifetime indeed.

Knew him (he dated my sister) way back in his stand-up comedy days in Chicago before SNL. He deserves all the accolades he gets. He really worked hard and struggled for many years before he got recognition for his talents.

Both BB and BCS are LEGENDARY shows, I dont understand why you are dying on this hill, they are both made by the same guy, they are both in the same universe. And the fact of the matter is, that most people who have watched both BB and BCS agree that BCS is the better show.

Bob always brings his A+++ game to talk shows. He probably has more pre-recorded bits than any other talk show guest... always such a creative and generous comedian, and he always champions other writers. Legend!

I did not expect much from Better Call Saul but it was fantastic. I just love the guy. Saul is a great character, funny, sometimes I loved him, sometimes hated him. :-) Plus the cinematography was incredible.

I was in Blockbuster just after they put out the DVD for Mr. Show. I'd never heard of it, David Cross or Bob Odenkirk. I rented it since I had rented about everything else in the place, took it home, watched it all in a day and instantly became a lifelong fan of the entire cast! It was amazing! So now whenever I see either Bob or David, I think of them from the show.
Holy cow, I’m very happy Bob is recovered and doing well. I never knew he had a heart attack as I had just bought better call Saul on disc to hopefully see him one day and have him sign it 😊
