Ms. Kara, I've subscribed and been avidly following your videos. They have tremendously helped me with my leadership at work. I do really appreciate it. Please keep making videos. With that being said, I bought and read your suggested books: The Charisma Myth, Influence, and Mindset. They are great books. Do you have more recommended books to read on Leadership and Communication.? Your assistance would hugely be appreciated. Thank you in advance. Note: If possible to include the authors. Thanks again.
As a non-native English speaker who are working in a multinational company ,sometimes i lose my confidence is because the language, for a instance , when i am deliverying my presentation my mind may suddenly go blank for appropriate words to express what i'm gonna say... so what should i do if i encounter this kind of circumstance.
I would take a breath. Remember why you're giving your presentation (because people want to learn from you). Remember your competency and value (which I'm sure is immense because you work for a multi national). Also, check in with your audience to see if they're following you. This will give you immediate feedback which will help bolster your confidence in that moment.
I am a non native English speaker as well and I work as a dental receptionist 🙃One time my dentist’s supported me to speak in tagalog to filipino patients and I was more confident and efficient.
