I love Sasha Cohen, from the first moment in 2000, short programme where she overwhelmed the commentators, the world by introduced new techniques, a real pioneer and my favorite skater of all times. Her combination of ballet, gymnastics, inherited from all her russian family is quite unique. I only wish she would skate only to classical music as she luckily mostly did, and suited her so well!! And for her ballerina elegance, gracefulness, bearing.
This is one of my favourite programs that I hope to copy one day. How she comes out of the jump at 2:25 is stunning. She is Ballet on ice. She showed why it's about more than just the jumps sometimes.
During her competitive years, she set the bar. She may have faltered on jumps, but everyone else had to chase her artistry and moves. She made everyone better.
4:08 "This should be one of her signature moves," and it did become one of them, didn't it? They could all tell right from the start how amazing she was.
Sasha had all the artistry and technical ability to win any competition. She just couldn't get a handle on her nerves. Her nerves got the best of her when it counted. She can be perfect all she wants during practice, but you can see it on her face that she's nervous when it mattered.
Not even Michelle Kwan could exceed Sasha's layback or spiral. If she only were consistent in her jumps she would have wiped the floor with all of them.
JNagarya, Winning silver isn't a bad placement for her. Many brilliant skaters won silver and bronze, not just gold. The only one who didn't win any medals isn't worth anything to anybody. One can't always expect a figure skater to win gold all of the time. It is like trying to win a lottery.

She's magical.

She was amazing favorite skater don’t care about jumps this is what skating should be

arlene brassil she was better than Michelle Kwan artistically, and that is saying something.
Her artistry was exquisite!
I think the up and coming skaters should watch her films. Holding her extension and her arm placement. The new skaters rush through everything.
@@cathykeith9121Absolutely 💯 and her spiral sequences are unparalleled!❤

Sasha you're amazing and I love your performance. I'd never forget you. I'm your fan.
I used to blast this song over and over and over when it first came out. And Sasha is still my all time favorite skater. MEMORIES ❤
I swear to God...if she had 1/2 Michelle's consistency she'd have been unstoppable.
🎉 Where did she place in this competition?
She is beauty, strength & grace! 🎉
I think she is one of the finest skaters in the world, to this day.
2023 and I'm still coming back to this glorious performance...
Awesome! Восхитительно!
Beautiful. So beautiful. One of my passions.

She is a marvelous skater.
Lo mejor que he visto en mi vida. 🥰. Mi canción favorita y mi patinadora favorita del mundo mundial. Con una rutina perfecta. Te amo Sasha

Hahaha... I loved the 10 seconds of awkward silence before Terry was like "wtf are you talking about Dick?"
Mariah Bell’s SP music this season! So beautiful! I Love Celine Dion❤️
Yes! I adore Mariah too!! She skates with such joy, passion, and musicality 💖
AMAZING
Excellent has never seen this program! I'm not one for vocals, but she interpreted this program most exquisitely. Fire on ice.
Abshalom Mil-Alsberg I agree, vocals distract from the performance.
@@tjwash5118 I more than agree!
She is at her best when ice-skating to classical music. That music is for this ballerina on ice.
She did; she won the gold at Nationals somewhere around six years ago.
Well said :)

Yeah, you're right... I'm sure you're at home polishing your National gold medal and Olympic silver medal right now.
Quisiera saber qué le faltó para el 6.0. tuvo todo
Agree!
She can out skate you any day.
Viva peron!!
She is excellent but flings her leg when she jumps-distracting!
