Tate, compared to all of Evan's characters, is definitely the one that stands out the most. He's by far the most complex, layered, and conflicted character in the whole show, in my opinion. While Kit, Kyle, Jimmy, and (especially) Mr. March were great, the dynamic Evan have Tate was absolutely amazing, and the chemistry he has with Taissa is really fantastic as well. The thing with Tate was, YES, he was a psycho, but he also had a deep desire to change his ways. I hope to see him again in the future!

It wasn't even a character important for the plot development, but Shachath was symbolically enormous. When the other characters faced their own death and suffering through Angel of Death, I couldn't help from shedding tears.
wow I am watching this late...and commenting...but the stories are great I will give them that I love AHS. However, its not a real artistic show nor is it supposed to be (except the freak show season in which the sets and costumes and everything was so beautiful to look at). But I thought it was wonderful how I would see frances and think, "ooohhh I wouldn't want to be in his/her shoes, that evil demon thing is coming for me!" So it was really awesome when her wings unfold and she speaks and you learn that she is there to help, to show mercy, to guide, death being an ugly business and all but the second it happens (at least to me) you connect to the divine and God and eternity and no matter how ugly the death was, just a second later its the last thing that will ever matter to you again.
For anyone who question Evan’s acting skills: Remember that Tate in S1 was a full blown psychopath and did a complete 360 on S2 with Kit. That’s pure talent 💓

I feel like the plot was better in asylum, and the characters were pretty bomb, but they didn't have really the same acting as in the first season I guess. I loved Sarah Paulson's characters, Lana, not so much for Evans, Kit Walker though. But yes sister Jude was amazing. I feel like most of the other characters in asylum were almost annoying in a certain sense, like the girlfriend and the alien abduction was wack, but i did like the whole thing with the doctor and the holocaust, and Lily's character was interesting. But it just didn't have the same, idk boom as the first season did.

Tate was very well developed and showed how psychopaths are multiplicative and how they think. Violet was amazing, and a great charterer with the depressed teenager misfit with Tate. Although I loved Kit, it just felt kinda like fluff, as Tate had this huge backstory, and really showed how he act, Kit didn't really have a substance for backstory, the season was better in whole, but Kits charterer could have been improved.
Evan Peters is the reason I’ve seen most of the show. I can’t describe the sheer horror I felt knowing that Tate- the character I fell in love with, was a downright psychopath. I definitely preferred Tate over any characters he had throughout the show.
Very happy to see that most of us love Tate. Literally my favorite character of AHS and as someone in the comments already said, he really did make me enjoy the show and want to watch it. He's arguably one of the most complex characters from the show, and his undying love for Violet makes me love more than a person should love a fictional psycho.
Never have I been so freaked out by a series like American horror....I came to a point last week where I told I can't keep watching this because I am so scared to watch it. but then I had to continue. then you see how down to earth the actors and actresses are when being interviewed by fans, it makes me feel comforted. I came across the scary mental asylum episodes and man was I freaked out. Great sense of humour shown.
