The Tudor Royal never spoke to me. To say the it s ugly is unfair, the design can be described is "confused" a hodgepodge of elements from different watch styles.
As a 25 y/o living in London and who's favourite brand is Tudor I own both a Royal Date Day Silver dial and BB ceramic, which at my age I am extremely grateful for. I have owned it for a year and I can absolutely say it is a watch for the price that is unchallengable. I completely agree that the watch seems old fashioned in pack shots but on the wrist it's a modern watch undeniably. I can't define why but the feeling of wearing it with a short sleeve outfit is incredible, it feels so special on the wrist. It's just such a cool watch so much so my girlfriend went and bought the ladies size with MOP dial with no influence. I wear to work with a suit and and on the weekend, it covers me on so many occasions. Until you live with it you can't fathom the magic this watch possesses. My final comment is that this is reasonablly well selling watch but it appeals to people who aren't necessarily watch enthusiasts which is why they don't get Internet buzz and I know that they are huge sellers in the asain Market.
Ironically, this watch was originally an east asian market exclusive, however, due to its exceptional popularity Tudor has decided to roll out this collection to more and more retailers in the west. Its definitely a watch better judged in-person. I remember thinking it was hideous at first. Then I saw one irl and tried it on, and I was positively shocked. Its georgous. In-hand all the details just work. I loved it so much I ordered one for myself!
To me this watch is pure class and so much underrated…people claim that it is outdated and old fashioned but this is exactly why it is so cool. Look at the hype around the Vacheron 222. Now put these 2 watches side by side ;-)
Mentioned in an earlier comment, that at one point in the video I say "look at this black dial variant and tell me it isn't great" BUT there was virtually zero quality photos to show it off... I had to cut the line. One of the best models in the collection 🥃
Been looking at the Tudor Royal 38mm after dismissing it for an older Prince Date or OP Date as the idea of getting a luxury integrated bracelet Tudor for less money than either of those go for used really appeals. Really looks fantastic in the flesh or even videos and the product photos do not do it favours at all.
Keep in mind that if the Royal feels like a sales flop in the West, that’s might be due to the fact that it wasn’t primarily designed for this market. It was designed primarily for the East Asian market. I feel like the Royal would be the perfect platform from which Tudor could launch a high accuracy, mechanically-based quartz movement, akin to the Rolex Oysterquartz. Alternatively, with two hands and a solar movement, it would be a fantastic competitor to a ladies’ Omega Constellation.
I have the 41mm blue dial with diamonds - which are small and not too blingy but actually make the dial less busy and more balanced than the roman numerals they replace imo.
Bought the 41 for myself and a smaller one with diamonds for my wife, both in blue. Picked them up at the airport in Montego Bay on the way back home. Love the Royal and the memories of a wonderful holiday will last forever!
I think it’s an amazing watch and was so close to choosing the 38mm blue for my wedding. Also I’m suprised it’s not popular as it was one of the waiting list watches. I actually have no idea why this wouldn’t be popular especially as a first luxury watch. Maybe it will have it’s time to shine one day.
I recently was in conversation with the manager of a very large AD here in the UK - to my surprise, they told me that the Royal is by far one of the most popular models in the Tudor catalogue with “normal” customers (i.e. non-watch nerds).
Fascinating. Us nerds really are in a bubble and don't take regular buyers into account 😆 It's the affordability aspect that I'm sure many love too. Maybe Tudor will continue to expand the line? Crazy how we instantly think Black Bay is THE watch 🥃
@@ID-Guy Indeed - I think it’s likely a combination of price and the fact that you’ll find a healthy section of Royals in the window of pretty much every AD across the land. Your average customer - who simply wants a nice watch for a special occasion - will probably make a day of watch shopping and intends to purchase something there and then. Most sane people have no time for waiting lists!
@@dominicrusho There's also the fact that to non-watch types, a Black Bay probably makes no sense - it's thick and chunky, it has a twisty thing on the top of it, and it's not very shiny.
I Just ordered with my AD the royal 41mm champagne dial, what i love about this watch is exactly what people dont and it is the grandpa-sporty-Vegas feeling, in my opinión it is a watch for someone who love watches, great video, new subscriber now
Hell yeah man! Growing up it was Saturday morning cartoons….Now it’s Saturday morning watch videos….Will I never grow up🤣👊. As for the Royal….Add a cyclops and sales would skyrocket. I know I’m a broken record but it’s a matter of time before Tudor starts adding the cyclops to varying modules.
Started off talking about all the dislikes. 😅 i had to sit and bare with it being a fan of the watch. To smoothly transition into the positives of the watch. Truly noble review. Thanks.
I love my 41mm with the silver dial. It was the perfect watch on my vacation in the Bahamas. For me I wear this watch for business meetings under the cuff, parties, Church, and sometimes to work. It makes a statement in a big way, but the more you look at it and then wear it, other watches start to feel boring. I also like the Day-Date by Rolex and am partial to dressier styles though.
I bought the black dial version 41mm because I'm a grandad ! It's elegant and a winner as a dress watch. I'm surprised you didn't mention the movement -" only" a Sellita calibre T 603 as I hear many say they should have used their in house calibre but I was happy to pay 2300€ rather than 3500+€. This piece has a quality build - a dial that "pops" - a comfortable bracelet. But I'm just a grandad 🤓
I adore the 38mm in blue around 2 years ago. I bought it as my wedding watch. I tend to wear it a few days a month. The watch in 38mm has a lot versatility. It looks great in a suit and you can wear it with jeans and T-shirt. It gets the odd compliment because it’s “rare” in the wild. I adore the size, and the size got me into a Zenith Chronosport original 38mm. I use to wear divers at 41-44m. It’s also about 38mm and 60-70s design for me. All by accident. Excellent videos as always dude.
Not really sure why it is not liked. It’s a Tudor, integrated, gold, diamonds and at a great price. Thanks for bringing it to the front of many eyes. I like it.
Well said! I completely agree with you that the integrated bracelet sports watch is a tired, worn out trend. This genre of watch does absolutely nothing for me. The Royal is not my cup of tea (and looks a bit dated to my eyes), but at least it is reasonably priced and somewhat unique - not just another boring, generic, overpriced integrated bracelet sports watch. Love your design thoughts and your channel!
The irony? I made a video this week on the Tissot PRX and mention how a "simple" formula can be handled extremely well. But for us (you and me) these designs just don't grab us. There's faaaar much more fun to be found in so many other categories. Turtle cases, Tonneau's etc etc 😉 Really appreciate it Danny, thank you brother 🥃
The Royal is my favourite Tudor which is strange because I don't normally like integrated bracelets or roman numerals.. I like the daydate complication but the 41mm is a little too big so I went with a blue 38mm, wearing it now👌
I'm so glad you dig it. That's the joy of our hobby AND the best part, embracing the weirder pieces means that we can actually wear and enjoy them! Your health enjoying it brother 🥃
I am a Grand dad, and a Tudor fan. Love my BB58. I really liked the look of this for something a bit different in the collection, but when I tried one on - nothing. For me I thought if the numerals were more crisply defined and 3D that would have made a big difference. They're too Cartier-soft for this watch in my opinion.
Hindsight, I really should have put some renders together... damn! The ONE time when I don't do it and I've had boatloads of people asking for them 😆 Really appreciate it Ryan, thank you brother 🥃
@ID-Guy I'm sure it's time consuming. Every time you do one it looks better than the original. You should be contracting for Omega. Cheers from Wisconsin!
When I started collecting watches, I completely ignored this model. For the last few months, I can't get it out of my head. It's probably going to be my next purchase
I love it when a subject matter resonates with people on both sides. Those who are wondering why it isn't popular (like you and me) and those who have a strong opinion why they aren't keen on them. Thanks for sharing this Larry 😉
I have the 2 tone 41mm with black dial. It really blossoms as you wear it. I dig the aesthetic but your points are certainly valid. I just immediately thought it was way cool. And, the price, for solid gold accompaniments, for a Tudor badge, for the build quality....It's crazy. I really love it. I might just have the grandpa watch when I'm when I'm grandpa aged.
The links in the bracelet are gold capped though, correct? I have a 1926 and I know the rose gold is not all solid. I believe the bezel is solid rose gold, but I think the bracelet is capped, if I recall correctly. I was really close to grabbing the Royal instead of the 1926, but I just found the 1926 to be a bit more classic. I may end up turning around and buying the Royal too. I love how similar it is to the Rolex Oysterquartz, and I think that someday in the distant future, this will be a highly desirable timepiece.
@matthewgray5853 capped. Not sure about the 1926, but I'm nearly positive that the 2 tone black bays are only plated/capped. 1926 is a great choice! I try talking my buddy into picking one up all the time.
I wear the 2-tone with the black dial and it's very comfortable on the wrist and also very legible. The design is great imo and also daring. I think it's a sleeper and will be more appreciated in coming years!
Purchased the date/day two tone black diamond dial a year ago & it is my go to daily. Truly enjoy this watch more than my Rolex. Unique design. Could be worn dressed up or down. Respectable watch but doesn’t bring the same attention & questions as the Rolex. Highly recommend. Value rentention is very good (depending on combination) as well compared to other watches in its class.
I purchased the 38mm date version with blue sun burst dial last year. I have collected over the years a mixed bag collection, mostly divers of nature. This little watch is a pleasure to wear and your review nails it! I bought it because there were so many reminders of 70s/80s design elements and the accuracy is a cracking +1 a day, coupled to a very fair price tag it’s a winner for me.
Frankly owning numerous pieces throughout the years going up to 10K this in my opinion is the best watch for the money. Comfort is 10/10, fit and finish is 9.5/10 at $2500 nothing touches it. It’s as comfortable as my New speedmaster pro and that’s impressive. I personally think the style is timeless, classic, and handsome. A piece that in 50 years will still look nice. Look no further this is the best kept secret in the watch industry. I can dress it in a T-shirt and jeans or throw on a suit. The beautiful blue sun burst dial is gorgeous.
Bought one myself a month ago - and I wouldn't say "nobody wants this watch." The version I bought - day/date black dial, no diamonds - was rarely in stock on Jomashop and currently is not in stock. I periodically checked Jomashop for half a year before I found it in stock and bought it, for a great price of around $2500.
I tried on the Royal while purchasing my BB Chrono and loved it. I don’t like Roman numerals but the diamond set dials have only numerals at 3,6 & 9 so looks much better 👍
Great discussion and analysis. I can't get excited for this Tudor Royal because of exactly what you said: it's too "Grand-dad." I actually think Tudor could get a lot of excitement out this watch from female clientelle by introducing a two-tone rose gold model with a chocolate dial, date-only.
Thank you for sharing this! I've been seeing more and more that these are huge in Asia (Tudor's original market for the Royal) Really fascinating how the interest differs all over the world 🥃
@@ID-Guy Its really down to the cultural nuances. In Asia, we aren't as "progressive", and there's a stronger value mindset. So things like yellow gold are extremely popular compared to steel/RG/WG, the low entry price into luxury brands also do extremely well. Additionally we typically do not shy away from unique or loud designs because in most countries where people can afford these watches, robberies rates are quite low relative to eu/us. An OP here would be considered way too boring.
As an American in East Asia, I see Tudor advertised around the city (Shanghai and Hong Kong) often. I came across the Royal recently. I think the integrated style, 70s influence, day/date, and roman numerals are a bit old timey but its precisely what drew me to it. And like you said, on the gray market, I've seen white/silver dials at the $1000 mark. I think this can become my new daily driver.
Three minutes in there is a pic of the watch under discussion with a beautiful cream coloured dial. Is that version in the catalog? Personally I think it looks amazing.
For me, in my mid 40's, and with a conservative dress style, calling something "old-fashioned" or a "grand dad watch" isn't a negative. I look for classic, timeless styling, and when I see this watch it's everything I need. The roman numerals are something I'm looking for in a watch, so that's not a negative. A lot of newer watches seem like the skinny-jeans style of suits... they look silly and will be outdated rather quickly. I've bought suits 12 years ago that still look fantastic now because I bought classic fits that will take a very long time to go out of style. And anyway, isn't it true that "everything old is new again"?
I own the Tudor Royal 41mm blue dial and I absolutely love it. The blue dial is stunning and for the price point you’re getting a lot of money for the watch and it’s its own design and I love how it looks. I’ve had it for a year now and it’s definitely my daily wearer! 😍
A beautiful offering. Possibly a way to celebrate the new King. Personally I prefer mesh, the best of both worlds. My Tag Link is the most comfortable bracelet I have worn.
I’m getting close to retirement, and based on my vacations, will need a day of the week on display. I think this is a very attractive option, as a daily wear.
I was close to buying the black and gold Tudor Royal day date dial but changed my mind and got vintage Rolex day date 36mm instead 😅 Just think the Tudor royal is missing something very blank around the 6 o clock mark. Also, the small date window kinda looks too minimal 🤔
When i see this watch design in my head plays: I walked in town on silver spurs that jingled to A song that I had only sang to just a few She saw my silver spurs and said let's pass some time And I will give to you summer wine Oh, oh summer wine
It definitely is it’s own thing. Oddly enough I like the looks of it although I don’t care for integrated bracelets, Roman numerals, etc… Would I buy one? That would be a hard no. It just isn’t me. I appreciate Tudor trying to separate itself from the other watch brands take on this style of watch. Great video as always!🥃
It's one of those rare oddities that most haven't picked up on or even addressed. It seems like Tudor either goes "too safe" or "too out there" with their pieces (hey, at least they're consistent 😆)
@@ID-Guy Yes that’s so true! I know that not every watch type or style out there is something that’s going to appeal to me, but I liked to be challenged in my thinking and in my preferences, because my tastes sometimes evolve over time. The format you employ to introduce your topics is as refreshing as it is effective. Something I’ve often wondered is what method or formula you utilize in selecting your topics. I’m just curious. I don’t want you to reveal any proprietary secrets to your success obviously! 😂
ive owned the 41mm black dial for a year and i can confidently say ive loved wearing it. its sporty and its blingy. its bezel actually reflects light quite a lot, a smooth bezel option (which a lot of ppl THINK would look better on this model) would make this model less tasteful. One of my favourite aspect of this watch is that it's almost a Frankie, just offered officially by Tudor. There's quite a bit of fun spotting similar elements of the Royal from vintage Rolex and vintage Tudor (and maybe from other Genta designs). It also matches my lifestyle. I'm a grad student in STEM doing chemical lab works. I NEED date&day windows for my lab works. For me, an elegant tank of a watch.
100% agree. As a Tudor owner several times over this one doesn't get the love...if it had sick indicies and no day date I think it would get more attention.
As a western consumer of this piece, it is truly an underrater entry luxury watch. The integrated bracelet is feeling a little out dated as its used by many other brands in various ways but Tudor does it so well with this piece and how it sits on the wrist. It is a very period feel watch rater then a new style sports watch where if your looking for a new piece its a nice compromise to the Rolex day-date or just- date wait list in a much more affordable fashion . That sort of elegance for the is price point is done beautifully. Its a piece you can wear everyday and makes its presence known. The silver dial is my personal favorite with this line because of how well is plays to the mix of polished and stainless finishes. Its a watch with so much character and usability for all occasions.
Next to the Prince, the Royal looks very "out there" - sadly I don't think Tudor could recreate models like the Prince today, because of big brother. This is their more alternative take, but man... it's polarising 🥃
I'm UK based and you rarely see these on the wrist. I've had mine for two years and absolutely love it. It was gift from my wife when we married. A Royal day date, gold dial and 18ct gold bezel and link inserts. Fit and finish is superb. My other watch watch is an Omega speedmaster moonwatch full mission spec, hesalite glass etc. Nobody comments on that watch but everybody notices the Tudor Royal. If Tudor discontinued the Royal, that's when you'd start to see an appreciation for it. Personally, I love wearing a watch that you don't often see on the wrists of others 👍
Embrace the weirdness! Normality is overrated 😉 Plus if everyone was out there wearing Submariners and driving Range Rovers, what kind of world would we be in? Oh wait...
I actually love this watch in the 38mm variant, which, btw is an excellent and under-offered size in the category of "affordable" integrated bracelet sport watches. I've been saying all along that the value here is off the charts and that Tudor's nod to the Oysterquartz is actually a good thing. Who else, if not Tudor has the right to make that claim anyway? Yes, it's a bit of a mess with the engine turned bezel (but again, who if not Tudor - Rolex isn't even offering it these days) and the Roman numerals - but here is where, if they do lean in, they have options. Tudor should blow open the dial offerings much like Rolex has done with the Datejust over the decades: concentric, anyone? How about circularly arrayed Arabic numerals? I'm in the Criminally Underrated camp.
I think the Roman numerals are the most common notable and hence clashing elements in the design after the bezel... In my opinion a Tudor Royal version with markers instead of roman numerals or numbers could be a very attractive design. However, I find the two tone models quite attractive, I don't know, I used to dislike gold tone watches but now I'm in my 40's I find the two tone and gold watches attractive 😂.
I almost bought one. They’re pretty nice. My issue is that I need the larger one and I don’t like the look of the day on the dial. They don’t offer just the date in the larger size.
So many critics gaga about Tissot PRX Powermatic 80, which I find extremely dull and plain. I happened to haphazardly came across Tudor Royal and Tudor 1926, I can't believe how affordable they are compared to its daddy company watches. Royal is on top of my list, a classic and classy watch to wear daily without fanfare, and that's how I like it. I have a 36mm Cartier Ballon de Bleu , it's still in a box, lol.
Royals are great, I sold the one I had before and egreyed it , I just ordered another one yesterday at my AD I had the blue 38 before now I placed in the order for the salmon 38 . I just love how comfortable and luxurious it looks
Look forward to this.. i don't know why but I've never liked the whole integrated thing man.. give me proper lugs any day. OK, now I'll watch your vid 😅 OK... so yep, good vid man. But i still just don't connect with these blocky watches... maybe a smaller case and a better date window...i don't know... I'll just stick with my gut on these watches - i prefer more traditional shaped cases and bracelets, unless its a G shock or your Tudor Marine Nationale
Squarish cases are definitely polarising, and looking at my collection I now have two (of different levels) Sometimes they work and sometimes they don't 😆I'd say sticking to the safer cases would always be preferred when it comes to longevity - like your 124270 that's currently enroute to your AD ;)🥃
@@ID-Guy ha ha yeah man... that Explorer.. I will get it at some point, unless Omega surprise us with a lovely thin elegant watch with 100m+ water resistance For the right Omega, I would ditch the Explorer
@@Valera_Scotland Putting something together on the Globemaster in the coming weeks... I feel you man 😉 Saying that, I'm drawn to that damn explorer every week... it's so frustrating!
I've been lusting after the Royal 38mm for months. Pre-owned just makes so much sense here. It has a timeless class. Honestly, I believe this will become more desirable than the North Flag over time due to its odd lack in popularity.
its definitely opened my eyes to a watch i would of not looked at. tbh i couldnt care less about what other brands have done, i like this and adds another contender for my next purchase.
As some have said - its the roman numerals for me that date the design in an undeseriable way and make it too busy. The alpine eagle used a more modern typography. Agree that the quality of the watch is fantastic for the price
To me, the issue with this range is the size. I have smaller wrists, so I quite love watches that are 38mm or less. I would be interested in one of these, IF they made the date-day version in 36mm. But at 41mm, it’s just too large for me.
I like this watch in pictures, but when I saw it in person the dial looks cheap for some reason. I wanted to like this watch but is a bit meh... It is priced quite reasonable
Metal bands are uncomfortable to me nowadays. I haven't worn one everyday in 20 years. used to leather straps, nato's, canvas etc non metal. So integrated isn't a good option for me. It is definitely not super retro, but more out dated or old fashioned. Selita movements cost 150$. so its a 2500$ watch probably, minus the 150$ movement cost, you are paying 2350$ for the Tudor Name and the External / Visuals of it. So individuals can decide is Tudor Name + Visuals = 2350$
I love this watch. I do love the bezel. I do whish the roman numbers were just clean markers. It would clean the design. The new salmon color is much better in person.
You always explain what my eyes perceive but my brain cannot put to word. In my head the Royal should be perfect. I don’t mind the Roman numerals, they are elegant. I don’t mind the engine turn bezel, it’s original. Hit together they somehow cancel each other.
As a brand, Tudor for me were acquired taste. Once hooked I loved them. The Ranger bowled me over. If a majority are not liking what I like, that makes the watch more exclusive. Do I want a Royal? No. But then there are Breitlings/Rolex’s/Omega’s that don’t do anything for me. Mechanical watches are not really timepieces, they’re jewellery. If you want a timepiece then by a quartz watch.
I think if i wanted this style, i'd go for an Omega Constellation, despite the much higher price. They look more "cool chic" to me...at least the ones I have seen in shop windows.
We all love a good Connie, saying that, the Globemaster? That's coming up on the channel in a week or two. What a gem... simple, sleek, amazing history etc. etc. 😉
@@ID-Guy Oh I'd absolutely wear and love a Globemaster but i was talking about the current "Manhattan" style Constellations which these do remind me of quite a bit
I like the Tudor Royal - it has a tons of character. I think it would look better without the Roman numerals and with slightly ticker polished links in the bracelet. The bezel is OK, but engine-turned in a style closer to what one might find on vintage datejusts would compliment it better, in my opinion.
Because of the case size, this wears larger. They really should have offered the date complication in 38, or even 36 (the Oysterquartz is 36, and does not look like a small watch on a man), especially as the trend is going smaller, and 41 with this case shape looks too large for all but the biggest wrists imo. Really hoping this is something they rectify in future iterations, as they'll have my money if they do (brown dial two tone, I'm thinking). Also, as others have commented, a quartz variant might present an interesting prospect, tying in with the design history. They're so close with this watch, a couple of tweaks and it could be a massive hit.
What are your thoughts on the Tudor Royal? Criminally Underrated or a Royal Flop? 🥃
just a very badly designed day date in my humble opinion.
I’ve had the blue day/date 41mm version for a couple of years. Extremely comfortable and I love the dial….. I love it.

This makes me chuckle 🤣 We will never grow up, brother… embrace it! 🥃
I just picked up the 41 salmon, it’s a great watch for a florida lifestyle
He did mention the movement…
"It's the kind of watch a grandad would wear" That was a lucky one on my end 😉🥃
@@ID-Guy Tokai guitars vs Gibson - it's a bit like Tudor vs Rolex 😎
@@stevetrotter6584 Epiphone vs Gibson would be a much better analogy
I love my 41 blue with diamonds. The Blue is stunning and the small diamonds make the dial minimalistic.
ID Guy, I'd love to see one of your mockups of how you'd fix this watch. Maybe rectangle markers. Love your work!
I was literally just thinking of this watch wondering why this isn't more popular
Exactly you are right!
I wear the 2-tone with the black dial and it's very comfortable on the wrist and also very legible.
The design is great imo and also daring. I think it's a sleeper and will be more appreciated in coming years!
The 41mm Day-Date is always sold out at the Tudor boutique where I shop.
Fascinating! One of the few Tudors that we can find in displays yet they are popular! Thanks for sharing this Roland 🥃
I’m waiting for over a year now for 28mm ordered for my wife
Thank you for sharing this with us Jeremy and your health to enjoy it! 🥃
Have the same 38mm blue and have had many complements with it, goes under the shirt cuff nicely and love the 1926 as well.
For the price on the second hand market, and the day date functions , this is a desirable watch to own. I love the day date complications .
I tried on the Royal while purchasing my BB Chrono and loved it. I don’t like Roman numerals but the diamond set dials have only numerals at 3,6 & 9 so looks much better 👍
Overall, I’m not a fan of integrated bracelets. Replacing the Roman numerals for stick markers would help. I like the engine turned bezel.
Had the silver dial date-day for over a year and it was fantastic.
Wife has a ladies one with a diamond mop dial and it looks amazing on her. She got me a silver 38 in return and it’s a nice watch that feels great.
Great discussion and analysis. I can't get excited for this Tudor Royal because of exactly what you said: it's too "Grand-dad."
I actually think Tudor could get a lot of excitement out this watch from female clientelle by introducing a two-tone rose gold model with a chocolate dial, date-only.
In Asia, this watch has a major waitlist at almost all the ADs here especially for the popular colours.
At 2:28 ?
I have the royal 38 black dial 18k bezel and crown…love it!
I own the Tudor Royal 41mm blue dial and I absolutely love it. The blue dial is stunning and for the price point you’re getting a lot of money for the watch and it’s its own design and I love how it looks. I’ve had it for a year now and it’s definitely my daily wearer! 😍
Sheeeit. I love the Royal. I wish they’d put a better bezel on it, but I’m buying one anyway.
I was close to buying the black and gold Tudor Royal day date dial but changed my mind and got vintage Rolex day date 36mm instead 😅
Just think the Tudor royal is missing something very blank around the 6 o clock mark. Also, the small date window kinda looks too minimal 🤔
When i see this watch design in my head plays:
I walked in town on silver spurs that jingled to
A song that I had only sang to just a few
She saw my silver spurs and said let's pass some time
And I will give to you summer wine
Oh, oh summer wine
I like it! Just buy and wear what you like 👍
I wish they could make the Day/Date work on the 38mm version. The 41mm is kind of large due to the case shape.
I think it is definitely a good alternative for people who want a Datejust but don't want to pay its price.
Got the 38mm blue and love it, only criticism no micro adjustment.
100% agree. As a Tudor owner several times over this one doesn't get the love...if it had sick indicies and no day date I think it would get more attention.
Funny to think that we're asking them to have more restraint for a change? 😆🥃
I have the blue 41mm. I adore it. One of my best watches. It's a tudor day date under 2600$. That in its self is fascinating ❤️
I owned a Tudor Prince Date Day, the best Rolex Day Date alternative. The Royal seems like a good watch, but I just can't get over it.
Shhhh. 🤫 I am also English and own a black dial 41 and love it.
I don't want the sheep on the bandwagon yet.
The Royal line is maybe my favorite collection that Tudor makes. But then again, I'm a weirdo. 😅
Embrace the weirdness! Normality is overrated 😉 Plus if everyone was out there wearing Submariners and driving Range Rovers, what kind of world would we be in? Oh wait...
It is a stunning watch in the real world.
I bought this watch in May 2023. It is a great watch>Keeps perfect time.
Love the Roman numerals!
I forgot to mention that the simple Date variation aren't as prominent in their collection. It's a pity and I bet they'd be more popular 🥃
@@ID-Guy yup
So many critics gaga about Tissot PRX Powermatic 80, which I find extremely dull and plain. I happened to haphazardly came across Tudor Royal and Tudor 1926, I can't believe how affordable they are compared to its daddy company watches. Royal is on top of my list, a classic and classy watch to wear daily without fanfare, and that's how I like it. I have a 36mm Cartier Ballon de Bleu , it's still in a box, lol.
Royals are great, I sold the one I had before and egreyed it , I just ordered another one yesterday at my AD
I had the blue 38 before now I placed in the order for the salmon 38 . I just love how comfortable and luxurious it looks
I absolutely love it. Where are these second-hand bargains you speak of?
I don't understand why it would not be popular. I have the 38mm with blue dial and it's a stunner. I
I think it pays more of a nod to the early Rolex Day Date and with the oyster case.
I do like the Blue Dial
Look forward to this.. i don't know why but I've never liked the whole integrated thing man.. give me proper lugs any day.
OK, now I'll watch your vid 😅
OK... so yep, good vid man.
I will get it at some point, unless Omega surprise us with a lovely thin elegant watch with 100m+ water resistance
For the right Omega, I would ditch the Explorer
Looks better than my 16013 Datejust!
As some have said - its the roman numerals for me that date the design in an undeseriable way and make it too busy. The alpine eagle used a more modern typography. Agree that the quality of the watch is fantastic for the price
Look up the Bulova Super Seville 36mm from 1984 (!)
I have a Royal with MOP and diamond dial. I love this timepiece. Wife has the women’s version.
Was waiting eagerly for the re-design…
I want One! Love the 38 size... even more cause is underrated... love the steel with blue dual... but the s&g with chocolate dial is growing in me...
I love my steel gold 38mm black dial. I'd love to get to see the chocolate in person just for fun
This is the watch that I would buy in a heartbeat if they color matched the day and date disks to the dial
Such a missed opportunity, I agree. The reason I never brought it up? In typical Rolex / Tudor fashion, the windows are either white or white 🙄
I love the Royal and if I could afford one I would grab it especially in a smaller size if they offered the day date on those models.
I always liked these - especially the 41. They are giving them away on the grey market.
I love this watch and i want to buy it, but i don’t know if is a good investment…what do you think?
I own a black dial 41 and love that it is so divisive.
I love this watch. I do love the bezel. I do whish the roman numbers were just clean markers. It would clean the design. The new salmon color is much better in person.
If you can customize the Day and put it in another language like the Rolex Day-Date equivalent then I'm sold!
Love alternative date comps... More brands should make it a feature. So what if we can't speak Italian, Spanish etc. It looks fantastic! 🥃
