One of the members of Nanowar of Steel, Gattopanceri666 (bassist) is an Astrophysicist and has worked many years as a researcher in Israel, this is why he knows the language very well (together with many other languages, he is a polyglot).
So he actually wrote that part in Jewish, it's not an automatic translation, and that's kinda cool and shows the attention to detail they put in every video.

On the tv they are showing 'Trading Places' with Eddie Murphy and Dan Aykroyd because it's a 'traditional' Christmas movie here in Italy.
They started to put it on tv every Christmas just as a filler (because during Christmas dinners nobody actually care about what's on) and then it became a meme so now it's here to stay (I'm not kidding, they are still doing it every year).
Yeah it's a very specific Italian reference. XD

Nanowar of Steel is a great band - they get you laughing so hard at the lyrics, that their excellent musicianship ends up catching you by surprise. As Astrid mentioned, their newest offering, Der Fluch des Kapt’n Iglo, is quite fun, and then there's Norwegian Reggaeton - why poke fun at one genre, when you can poke fun at two at once? And while it's a bit NSFW, you might check out Uranus - because even an old joke deserves a song!

Comedy Metal is not a genre name as also Viking Metal is not.
You can take these names if you want to describe lyrics, but they cannot describe the music.
See, if you put all music that is about vikings into a box, you'll end up having WARDRUNA, MANOWAR, ENSIFERUM, AMON AMARTH - and now also NANOWAR OF STEEL - in one and the same box.

Yes, Ikea is Swedish. There were at least one other reference to Sweden in this song: Systembolaget is a government-owned chain of liquor stores, and it's the only company in Sweden that is allowed to sell alcohol stronger than 3.5%. (Might sound strange for some people, but we have same kind of system here in Finland too.)
Someone from Sweden might be able to tell if there were other Swedish things mentioned. I am not an expert of Swedish culture, even though they are our neighbors, (and even though all Finns have to study Swedish language at school).

Yggdrasil is indeed a tree in norse mythology, the biggest tree and also referred to as the worldtree. I think the boat your son was thinking of was Skíðblaðnir, or skidblandir (I had to google this) which was a ship that could be assembled from small pieces of wood when needed.
Those runelooking letters are from what I can tell is written in the hebrew alphabet, it sure looks similar. Not sure what it means since I only recognize it from the looks of those letters, but I think it is a prayer for or to Yggdrasil and Odin? Not sure about that one.
Also, they mention systembolaget, which here in Sweden is the only store that can sell alcoholic beverages that contain more than 3.5% alcohol.
I've also noticed that they mention 2 metalbands from Sweden, one is Amon Amarth (the bandname is from Lord of the rings I believe, it is elvish for Mount Doom) and the other is Hammerfall.
The horsemeatballs refers to an incident that was in the newspapers a few years ago where they found horsemeat in the ikea meatballs. Swedish meatballs aren't really supposed to contain that, most often you make them from a blend of minced pork and ground beef and it was certainly not stated in the table of contents :D
Ikea is indeed swedish :) As a swede I find this song hillarious, especially when they sing names of ikea furniture (Beddinge and Kivik are two series of furniture sold at Ikea) and then they go over to singing from the ikea catalogue, which is sort of their holy book since Odin now is the master of Ikea :D

    Were you thinking of "Skíðblaðnir"
the ship that could be folded into a pocket?
There are a lot of references to modern Swedish culture
    Systembolaget (The System Company)
the modern Swedish alcohol monopoly company
    for example.
It is one of the things that you rapidly learn about
    when you visit Sweden
that and bringing friends a bottle of spirits
because alcohol is highly taxed in Sweden.
I have been lucky to visit Sweden several times

This song hides a lot of fun facts: the singer who plays Odin is Angus McFife, from Gloryhammer, a famous power metal band, and he is dressed as Santa Claus because the original image of the saint was actually inspired by Odin. The song was released during the Christmas time and that's why it's all so merry and christmassy. Also, you should know that every year, on Christmas Eve, our TV shows the movie "Trading Places", which is why you see it in the background.
Finally, during the release of their latest album, Nanowar organized a treasure hunt for their fans at Ikea stores, hiding CDs, posters and other gadgets inside various furniture. They even tried to do an abusive concert, but got kicked out 😂

The people in Scandinavia did however draw/carve the gods on stones and wood in human shapes, so the gods became like the forces of nature in human form and from there it developed/expanded even more
