Systambolaget is the national Swedish liquor store. The Swedish items they are singing at the end are furniture items from the IKEA catalog. Falen Amen is a play on words. Falegname is Italian for carpenter. When this album first came out the band tried to do shows in IKEA stores but were turned down. Instead they had unofficial meet ups with their fans in the stores and hid band merch around the store for their fans to find.

    • @Nyerguds
      @Nyerguds Год назад +3

I don't think they ever asked Ikea, actually. They just did stuff in their stores and were often kicked out for basically doing treasure hunts inside the store.

A couple of trivia: The joke about Sasha Grey is more layered than it may seems. Sasha is a brand of bed frame (like kinsa is an Ikea bed frame). Both Sasha and Kinsa come in grey too. Amon amarth and Hammerfall (the guitar tech contributors) are swedish too, and systembulaget is the swdish sets of state shop where you can buy alcoholic drinks. By the way, Nanowar have a song with the singer of Steel Panther (the astronomical Uranus). And I strongly adivise you to check Glory Hammer

Since you like to get all the references, here's some more Trivia.
    - the movie playing on the tv in the background is Trading Places, that's aired every Xmas Eve in Italy
    - there was a scandal some time ago about finfing some not declared horse meat in the famous Ikea's meatballs
    - collecting pencilsfrom Ikea is very common for Swedish children
    - Swedish metal bands Amon Amarth and Hammerfall seem to hate each other
    - some scenes are quote from The Blues Brothers
    - the solo on a cliff is a parody of November Rain video
    - finalky the most interesting point IMHO, if you think about it Odin changes from cruel and mean in the first half of the song to friendly and caring in the Second half... As it happens in christan Bible, if you confront the Old Testament and the New Testament.

SOBER by Nanowar is extremely similar to " I'll sue ya" by Weird Al in that it is a style parody of another band with the message being the opposite of what that band usually say. Alestorm sing about drinking all the time, so a song about Sober pirates is a great pisstake.

You are the first to get the references to "Shema Yisrael"
but being of Jewish descent helps.
I only knew it from Arnold Schönberg's cantata
    "A Survivor from Warsaw"
which is a memorial to the victims of the Shoah
and ends with a choir singing the "Shema Yisrael"
Not very metal but a powerful piece of music.
    ruclips.net/video/rGWai0SEpUQ/видео.html
This band have so many references to things in their lyrics
In Disco Metal they have Dante turn up
    and hand them a scroll
then the lyrics go into Italian
    and they sing some Dante
The inner nerd in me got me and I was laughing my ass off
especially as it was very appropriate for the song.
