It's a shame that many of their songs can be only understood if you are italian because there are too many local references behind them :D As an italian i'm proud of them anyway :D
Right before Angus comes in they are singing in Hebrew. It's a play on words as the original means "Hear, O Israel: the LORD our God, the LORD is one", but they switched out Israel for the world tree Yggdrasil and God for Odin: "Shema Yggdrasil, Odinai Eloheinu, Odinai Ehad."
when they say "falegnamen" it's because, in Italian, "falegname" means carpenter, so they make an word-pun with "amen", doing "falegnamen" ahah

I really agree, you should react to "Norwegian Reggaeton", if you have any knowledge of black metal the in-jokes are going to be hilarious (you might want to turn on the subtitles since it's not entirely in english). After that, another good one is "And then I noticed that she was a gargoyle".

Nanowar of steel are from my country, Italy. Made a lot of parody metal in italian, now getting more international. Their stuff is very funny indeed. "Tooth fairy" and "Barbie MILF princess of the twilight" are good ones too. And yeah, I'm not joking, that is the actual title. 😂
Gloryhammer is a so far 3 album epic story of the battles between the evil Chaos Wizard Zargothrax and the line of Angus Mcfife that has gone from medieval fantasy to 1,000 years in the future to the intergalactic kingdom of Fife (Scotland), and then to an alternate dimension 1,000 years in the past. The band has 21-23 more albums planned and are working on the 4th one now. They call the genre Interdimensional Space metal.
Since you mentioned steel panther, they have a song called Uranus featuring Michael Starr from steel panther. Keep up the great work!

One of the better reactions to this masterpiece from our favourite italians. Smart, witty and great musicians! Thank you Italy for your contribution to the metal world.
Just a couple of things you could have missed. The band's name Nanowar is a clear reference/distorsion of the band Manowar, this is quite evident; however, in italian "nano" means "dwarf". The second thing: in the text you can read the word falegn-amen; this is a mix of the words "falegname" and "amen"; falegname is the italian word for carpenter.
Nice reaction, I suggest Norwegian reggaeton next.
And they added the "of Steel" to their name to parody Rhapsody adding "of Fire" to their name.

Actually on that album (Space 1992) they do a song on all of the band's characters... I admit the connection between The Questlords of Inverness and Ralathor is not an obvious one, but still, there it is.
And the bass guitar player is an astrophysics!!!
Gloryhammer is also a funny band. The Book of Heavy Metal by Dream Evil is also hilarious

A few side notes here. Systemboalget is a state-owned chain of stores here in Sweden and the only place where you can buy alcoholic drinks at. Both Amon Amarth (melodic death metal with a heavy inspiration from the viking era) and Hammerfall (heavy/power metal) are Swedish metal bands.
PLEASE look into Gloryhammer! They aren't exactly parody, they're just having a lot of fun with the power metal genre.

Gloryhammer is most DEFINITELY worth checking out if you haven't already. Honestly I really don't have anything bad to say about them.
When I first heard them years ago they reminded me of like a light-hearted Rhapsody of Fire lyrically. And was instantly hooked when I first heard "Angus McFife" which I found completely by random.
Your reaction video was similar to my own hearing "Valhalleluja" for the first time. (Especially growing up Southern Baptist)

Nanowar of Steel is a parody band from Rome, Italy. Yes, they have lots of other songs, though not all of them are in English. They're an amateur band, believe it or not - they all have day jobs. They do this for fun.
Angus McFife is actually the name of a song by Gloryhammer. Thomas Winkler, the former vocalist for Gloryhammer, played the character of Angus McFife in the song of the same name, and he appears in "Valhalleluja" as Odin. Thomas Winkler is Swiss, which I believe makes him the only Scandinavian in this production.

Saw them in Italy, one of the most skilled and funniest bands ever! The made a lot of italian songs (they are italians), parodies of several things for our country and in general other things, such as 400 Calci (parody of fighting movies), Bestie di Seitan (parody for vegans), Giorgio Mastrota (parody of one (in)famous italian tv seller for sofas and couches), Il Cacciatore della Notte (parody of a species of howl), and Feudalesimo e Liberta' (parody of a parodistic political party addressing a return of feudalistic society).
English-wise, their last album is entirely in English, some of the best are The Call of Cthulhu and my favorite Vegan Velociraptor.
PS: in the song, they say Falegn-Amen. Perhaps for non-italian speakers this sound senseless. "Falegname" is carpenter, and it refers, obliviously to both IKEA and Saint Joseph, putative father of Jesus. Amen is... well, amen. Hence, the separation of falegn-amen XD
PS2: at the end, you can see in the television the movie Trading Places. This is because, for unknown reasons, it has been hired in Italian TV at every single Christams since, becoming one of the most "christmasty" movie in Italy ever.
The joke is also because the italian title of this movie is "Una Poltrona Per Due" ("An Armchair for Two") ...another quote/citation about Ikea stuff? who knows?... LOL.
I love their Rhapsody parodies of old, haha.
