I'm a proud polenta maker ("polentaro") from another valley of northern italy. And yes, we really are that proud of this heritage, in its simplicity polenta represents how social cohesion in disperse communities managed to overcome hardships in an unforgiving land. Polenta reminds us of the value of the simple and earnest, of focusing on the concrete aspects before the frills, and the power of sticking together. To me personally, it encapsulates my fondest memories of my grandpa, who taught me how to prepare it, and passed on to me this tradition. I'm sorry it's a bit difficult to grasp all the million references in the video, they mainly cater to italian culture. The good news for all of you is that nanowar is becoming a bit more international
Those clever lyrics. The details in the video ( a fork shaped guitar! ) . The joy in the singing. It's like christmas, easter and halloween in one song. Great start of my day.
I love me some Nanowar of Steel. They really do have an amazing gift with music. Clever lyrics with incredible music. Great request and great reaction, as always!
I love these guys! Topics in metal are usually pretty serious, deep or intellectual. Nanowar's imagination and gift of just being able to have fun with metal shows us the other side. Now, I'm craving a bowl of grits with butter and bacon bits.
I feel like I have to point out some hidden things in this song. The first one is that the ending is a tribute to Leonardo Da Vinci's Last Supper. There are also references to Munch's The Scream, a couple of famous Italian songs, an interview where President Andreotti felt unwell and momentarily lost his lucidity to answer, and the journalist asked "Presidente?". There's also a reference to a very old Cedrata commercial... so many things all together and I'm sure I've forgotten a few.
My espanol de la Clinica did not help me one bit here. ... it was Italian, right? Close... I got some root verbs and a noun or two. Man, they had it in for the Euro-grits... I didn't know it was bad for cholesterol levels (or so they claim) Dang... well, so much for that part of my new gluten-free diet. More fun, as always ... thanks !!
Polenta is awesome! We have this dish equivalent in my area (which is western Ukraine) and it's called Tokan. Amazed to see how Nanowar's sound, text quality and hilariousness increase over time :) My favorite band at the moment.
Great ..Italy is marvelous. The band is very good..love polenta also...we are all here to go against the individualism....thank you ... Bella Ciau ...Inow in Spain but always togueter😊
Hey man, would love to see a reaction to Seven Spires. One of the most underrated female-fronted metal bands out there in my opinion. Gods of Debauchery and Shadow of an Endless Sea are some epic ones by them

I learn so much from Nanowar!
the lyrics of this song were written by the band and the fans in the chat during a streaming , was more or less done in one evening.
Thats so cool!

This was full of energy with a really cool sound. The vocalist has their own style that shows their talent. Good stuff.

LOL get that food dude. Agreed! I used not like when bands made music from light hearted topics but now I really appreciate it.
I had forgotten about this song, hahaha, I needed this today. This dude with his fork guitar :D
Was sooooo funny!
I know the song, but I'd never watched the video! Thanks for that Tommy.

Love Ya Angie!
Musically this is an hommage to an Italian folk metal band called Folkstone.
