    I’m in the UK and my a home course is wet and wooded, so winter golf involves many leaves and plugged balls, resulting in lost balls even on the fairway. I have been playing the Kirkland V2 and now V3 for winter play for a couple of years and I really don’t note an appreciable difference to my summer Z Star Diamond. I think my winter game is better with the Kirkland as I’m more relaxed about losing a ball priced at £1.25 vs £3+.

      After trying both side by side the Kirkland would make a great winter golf ball for golfers in the UK who regularly use the Pro V1. The performance is there to back it up and it hurts the wallet a lot less when these balls get lost in the trees or disappear into the wet ground in January!

      @ Wet January, have you been out over the past week. Wet winter more like!

    I wish they would make a Pro V1X equivalent.

    For the last 4 years I've bought the Kirkland and played ProV1. There are so many V1's lost on the course. But for the price, it's a slam dunk, IMO. Golf balls for the year pay for my cosco membership.

      The Kirkland is your only ball.

    Would never pay the listed price for the PROV1. I’ve been playing the Kirkland V3 for sometime and their performance. What I see on the course is just as good. It cost enough to play the game as it is and for the golf clubs without spending a fortune on golf balls. Heck… I agree with you for $1500 in a year, I would rather spend it on the game or or something for other than just a golf ball.

      For regular golfers this is a massive saving! I'd much prefer saving up for new clubs than spending it on golf balls!

    If you want the Kirkland, move fast. They are moving out of the warehouses at $19.97 for a box of 24. IINM the .97 designates a discontinued item. You won't find the price online, only in store.

    Which state’s tax did you include in the dollar price? 🤔Naturally you also included the Costco membership cost.

    • @Papa-Bogey
      @Papa-Bogey Месяц назад

      Why include their membership fee? I don't have a membership to get golf balls, I have a membership to save money on a wide range of products. From food to appliances to electronics to ... golf balls, clubs, bags and maybe even gloves. If you don't have a membership, ask a friend who does to pick you up a box.

      I was having a tough time finding the middle of the clubface with my old irons, and to my surprise, these have really helped! They bring a tinne of enjoyment to the game for me also. While there may be a lack of distance and higher spin, they are much more consistent for me. I will more than likely transition back to a more forgiving set over the winter.

    Far too much spin with a 7 iron. Must be due to the way you swing. I'm about the same speed as you but get 2500 less spin with a 7 which means my carry is nearer to 160. My 7 iron is 34 loft btw. Work on getting your spin rate down and you'd probably carry a 7 165 or so. Also, why are you using dollars when you're in Peterborough?😂

    • @whocareswins1
      @whocareswins1 Месяц назад +1

      @@jimwocha4949 yes his swing looks like presents a lot of loft at impact in addition to weak lofted irons will cause that spin increase.

    • @jimwocha4949
      @jimwocha4949 Месяц назад +1

      @whocareswins1 he definitely has speed so a lower lifted iron, like a 30 degree 7 would work well and probably give another 10-15 yds whilst retaining most of the spin.

      @todaysgolfer  25 дней назад +1

      I know what distance I’m capable of with other sets of irons, for sure! As I mentioned in a comment below, I’m aware that blades aren’t the best fit for me, but they’ve helped me regain some consistency in my game. I’m also aware of my swing flaws-I just haven’t spent enough time fixing them. That’s going to be one of my New Year’s resolutions for sure!
