Flounder Gigging Catch-n-Cook in Seadrift, TX! (w/recipe)

We went out with guide Dustin, and for my first time Flounder gigging, we sure did great! I limited out, and we saw some crazy stuff at 1:00 am in the morning! Guide Dustin was extremely nice, and his boat is awesome! Using his hand-made bamboo spears and great Flounder-spotting eye, we gigged Flounder all night long, and went home with our Flounder and did a catch-n-cook! We even have our recipe down below!

Recipe:
Flounder stuffed with Shrimp, crab, bell pepper, celery, and onion. Cook on olive oil rubbed tinfoil, and drizzle with lemon juice when done.

Is it safe to eat fish out of Lavaca Bay? I’m moving near the area soon and was wondering.

Hey! Thanks for the comment and question! Yes, the all the bays around The Gulf Of Mexico are very clean, and healthy, and it is fine to eat fish caught from Lavaca Bay. I am just always careful to not eat fish from really stagnant back lakes or tide pools, and stuff like that, but if you are catching and eating fish out of the bay, or a big, healthy back lakes, your good!
