The lesson being "dont stand anywhere near a Goliath Stimmer". I can only imagine that the Goliath that had an overcharged plasma shot miss him was laughing his ass off at that.
@@MiniatureGameMontage Re-watching this and thought, shouldn’t you have rolled all the injury dice as to potentially inflict multiple lasting injuries, one for every out of action rolled, inc if you’d have rolled 3 FW? Defo a fitting result though 😂
Another excellent battrep! One remark on rolling injury dice - it is always good to roll injury dice. In close combat rolling a skull means that a fighter can consolidate instead of wasting a free action on performing coup de grace. When shooting - when a seriously injured fighter remains on the battlefield at the end of a game he will suffer a lasting injury only on a roll of 1-2 so there is actually a 66% chance of avoiding an injury and a donwtime in recovery!
Correct. We do play that way I just often don't narrate it. Like if they are normal Toughness 3 and we would roll 4 injury dice, if all of them are flesh wounds they are going OOA and the fighter can consolidate. And we only roll one lasting injury roll instead of multiple. But you are absolutely correct on all the above.
Good stuff! It was a good gambit, but bit of bad luck. That being said, I do love seeing my bois, the House of Way Too Many Performance Enhancers, do what they do best. CRUSH!
Great video as always! I learned a few lessons from this match as well. Nacht-Ghuls need more than one valid target on the turn they enter if they plan to charge or need a ranged weapon to chase after an elusive target.
Yeah I purchased an auto-pistol on one to get that extra attack in combat. If I could have won priority I think the game goes differently. I really needed to get those claws in.
That was an awesome battle report! Kinda a newbie and devouring your videos. So much fun, and really giving me a better grasp of the game after the few games I've played. Loved the first turn narrative with the Delaque boss. Poor Crypto. 😅 As a side note @16:15 house Goliath fails their Bottle Test (point 1 of the End Phase). Then you proceed to roll recovery for Drak (he goes out of action). You then roll for priority and proceed to check for cool test (Goliath fleeing the battle). As far as I know, since the 29/4/2022 (latest FAQ) Fleeing the Battlefield step is now in the Endphase just after the Bottle Test (and before making recovery test). It matter because in this case, f.e. if Drak fled the battlefield he would leave with a Serious Injury and during Wrapp Up he will just recover on a 3+. But perhaps you are just disregarding this faq/update so if that's the case, just ignore my comment!
Cheers! Thanks for watching and for commenting. 🙂 I probably need to update the way we handle those things. I will definitely look at the FAQs in preparation for the next one.
Another great battle report. I'm still feverishly painting gangs and scenery ready to play my first games since the 90s rules so half of it makes no sense but I'm picking up bits 🤣. These reports are definitely a big motivator to keep up the progress!
Love it how your gambit at the beginning resulted in "Lesson Learned." And the Nacht-Ghuls! Did they not get their morning coffee or what? I have to be honest though, I was very animated when you tried to shoot the Stimmer down with the autogun ganger instead of trying to charge/CDG the webbed rivet cannon champ with the specialist! Worst case, you fail the charge anyway and the Stimmer hacks the autogun guy down on his go, but at least you would've got the webgun away from the grenade launcher. But if all had gone according to plan, as it definitely 100% always does, the rivet cannon guy could've been on his way to a corpse starch farm! Great batrep as always!
@@MiniatureGameMontage The dice were the conductor of that particular train that's for sure; the plasma gun shot missing, the Nacht-Ghul not even scratching the Forge Tyrant then having his little dainty fingers hurt, never won the important priority rolls! You'll get them next time!

I agree but over the years I’ve kind of developed this formula that helps me produce them efficiently. It takes a lot of time to edit and narrate so I try to maintain a standard of quality while achieving some efficiencies. 🙂

@@MiniatureGameMontage thanks man, I’ve asked my campaign arbiter if I can run it. Fingers crossed 😂 Big thanks to you and your boy helped to convert me over from 40K
Just wondering but does laying the models down and the like scratch the paint, scuff them or knock of bits? Just thinking it might be better to use markers to represent models being pinned or knocked down etc. So you dont ruin the nice paint work on em.
Can’t argue with your point. I use a varnish after painting to protect them. In theory, yes, but when I’m making videos I want the immersion for the viewer.
@@MiniatureGameMontage Cool thanks! I’ll have to see if I can find myself some. Realised in a later episode that they matched the Injury and Firepower dice so they must’ve been Necromunda-specific. I didn’t think I was in range. And it took a full D3 roll and a tactics card plus a missed short range plasma shot. I still think it was worth it to take that guy off the board.
That “Lesson Learned” injury roll on Crypto the MoS was incredibly fitting. Took that risk that looked good, Improving from every encounter.
Right! A calculated risk. Very fitting indeed.
that was totally fitting lol. "lets see if this works..." "Oh well i wont do that again!"
