I went to Urgent Care for my finger (I have an appt with an ortho in a month). They gave me this thing that goes half way up my arm. I don't mind it when I sleep, but holy cow, in the day time it makes me nuts! Do I really need something so huge???

Hello Michelle. I wonder why you did not include the Oval 8 in your list ??? I wear it at night occasionally and find it efficient and comfortable for me. Thank you for all the good that your channel has done for me. 😃

Thank you for your comment! It can definitely be included on the list! I share the Oval 8 in a lot of my other videos and highly recommend it. I just wanted to show some other options especially for people that have larger finger joints or have swelling issues at night.

I ended up using heat shrink tubing.

Is it for a finger? I'm not familiar with that.

Industrial solutions like heat-shrink tape are great. I gave up on duct tape and have been using metal radiator hose clamps. They are a lot stronger, but now I'm considering going all the way and sticking my hand into a shoe-box full of wet concrete. That will address my finger issues and help me build more arm strength!
...OK, now the honest response: I've got what seems to be "trigger thumb" and have been using blue masking tape until my "Oval 8" splint assortment arrives from Amazon. Meanwhile I'm trying to get an appt. with a hand specialist. I'm a potter and work with my hands daily, so it really sucks.
