No joke, your ideas and DIYs have been the most fun and creative ones I've seen in a VERY long time! Loved this one as well!!
This is seriously so nice of you to say!! Wow thank you!!
Me too! You get to try your ideas! And you can display it for others opinion!
I agree. this is actually a fantastic hack, and she didn't paint it!
I feel like this would last a lot longer than a lot of store bought dividers too that use wicker and materials that look ratty if they get a bit damaged.
this you can just replace the burlap!
This is such a fun idea! For my style I'd probably paint them black and crochet or knit fabric instead of the burlap. But that's what makes these ideas so fun, you can personalize them!
That would look so pretty!!!
I would buy one from her if it was colored like that ❤️👍🏻
oooh, that sounds amazing !
Love!!!
Post a photo if you do it...or i guess on here you have to link?
Finally, a DIY that seems legit---not just for the monetizing factor.
If you get silk or canvas material you could totally paint this to make it one of those super beautiful hand painted ones!
Brilliant! They also make them super tall, and really tall room dividers are so difficult to find / so expensive! Great idea.
I especially love the neutral colors. Whatever you hang on it becomes the pops of color and shapes. It's like a canvas you can change continuously!
I loveeeee! I’ve been looking for dividers that aren’t $200+ and this is the perfect option. And I could customize them to fit my space?!? I need to try this
This is a great idea for a jewelry display for a craft show. And it looks so easy thank you for sharing.
I have a friend who had a dressing screen like this that he used to give his cat a little privacy while using her litter box.
What a great cat owner
Lol I love it
I’ve been trying to find one for that exact purpose!!
That's what I'm going to use mine for! Lol genius
That is SO cute, what a 💓!
This with rattan would be pretty sweet.
I do frequent Zoom calls from my house. This would be great for putting up behind me when I'm online presenting.
Try getting an office background photo to use as a green screen too. Or blur background feature
I’m also thinking about doing this for zoom calls! I live in a studio and the “blur background” feature only does so much to hide the obvious bed in the back
I have to admit that I started watching this rolling my eyes at another IKEA hack, but this is actually very cool and well done!
You have to take out the whole piece of wood to get to the necklace in the middle.( The idea really is brilliant, but not for jewellery. Maybe with a few hooks?) Altogether this seems really nice and sounds available/doable. This is a good one.
Damn this is probably one of the nicest and unexpected diy
I have been trying to find a reasonably priced ‘ladder’ to put some scarves on for winter and this popped up on RUclips. It has given me some great ideas that are easy to do and inexpensive. 🌟
This is such a refreshing life hack video because it's genuinely such a decent idea I'm actually considering doing it myself. Well done lady!
I make jewelry and this would be a great, unique way to showcase my pieces! 😍
That’s a great hack, honey. Not just utilitarian because you gave the piece a lot of texture by using the fibers you used. Love it!
These are also great to use for a 2nd stop for your clothes that aren’t ready for the laundry bin yet
I love this! Honestly, girl, you are super creative and have some of the best ideas. I have seen some of the absolute best ideas here. Don't ever let anyone tell you any different! Awesome idea!
This is a great hack to make homemade trellises. Something I’ve been thinking of trying. So inspiring watching you build stuff! Making me brave to try
@@ItBeThatWaySometimes ah good point
@@porkchop9024 perhaps, you could use a sealant? Maybe several coats?
@@donnabacon4681 that’s what I was thinking. I mean even treated wood will eventually rot
@@porkchop9024 hope this works out for you! Maybe a stain first, as that soaks into the wood, then seal(?). Or there's the Japanese practice of torching the word (can't think of the name) - ever so slightly. This removes the moisture, which stops rot & insects. And because there is less/no moisture, the wood is lighter. I've seen videos whereby people use this practice to prevent rot & lower the weight of the wood, which is great for Tiny Homes on wheels. I've seen this done on decks as well. The challenge is, you have to clean off the soot & that's nasty!! Yet! Maybe worth it; since these brackets are so narrow, it won't take long, and not be as messy.
My home office is in the bedroom which is pretty large so I wanted to divide it but the theme of the room is pink and I desperately needed a pink room divider which obviously do not exist so this is making my mind explode with ideas! So much I could do
Maybe think about visiting your local JoAnne Fabric store or Michaels and looking in the "remnant" bin, you might find EXACTLY the PERFECT size & price for your project at 50-75% OFF!
Another thought is to use 2-3 different colors/fabrics that harmonize with each other &
that will bring a pop of color & texture to your space.
I ❤ your idea!
Take care! 😊
You could also think about placing thin, lightweight copper or punched tin flashing or ... Thin metal .
The punched tin or copper would be a fun luminary accent which would be AWESOME at night!
Very cool accent, mood lighting!
The possibilities are endless!
Great work and ideas!
Just what I needed cannot find room dividers anymore
Great work! Room dividers aren't cheap
Oh so when I saw these in a previous video I was ecstatic, because it solved an issues I was having. This time around you doubled down on extending that idea into a more elaborate concept furniture design. It’s too bad that I don’t have my own channel to show you what your creativity has inspired in me. Oh, I don’t conceptualize in the same way as everyone else. Thanks for being a muse of sorts.
This is the first diy I’ve really liked in a minute so cute!
Beautiful AND functional. This is terrific!
I wonder if you could make a soundproofing divider with these...
At first i was like, meh, it's not that expensive to buy a room divider, but the dowels as hanging rods in the holes is freaking genius!!! Make your jewelry art in your space!
you might be able to do that if you already have a divider tho!
😊If using another divider, you could add cup hooks. Use 'em to support the tiny dowels for the necklaces. Glue on a button, flat dowel, or knob on the end. Something wide enough to catch on the cup hook, & keep it steady. That way, the dowel won't just slide off if it is tugged, but you can still take the dowel out if you desire.
🤔Another idea: Earring or Pin Display. Source a thrifted or dollar store frame large enough to fit your panel. 4 Hooks: 2 cup hooks on panel & 2 tiny hooks on frame. Staple burlap (or other fabric) tightly on frame. Hook frame over divider hooks to hang. Easy Peasy.

What a great idea. They could be used for many things and love the ideas for purses. I have limited space and would be wonderful for all my purses. Thanks for sharing your ideas.
This is really creative, especially the added detail of the dowels to hang jewelry. I love this!
This is what I was thinking of doing to make a recording booth with some studio foam squares glued onto thin panels. Then it can be folded away when I’m not using it.
I was impressed with amount of tools
this is such a doable and useful DIY. Wish I still lived in a place that needed a room divider just so I could do this!
Really flabbergasted that you come up with so many useful and attractive ideas! How sturdy is it? I'd be tempted to gesso some of this canvas roll I have and actually paint designs on it.
That's not a hack. You built a whole room divider dude. Ur amazing.
Wow, love it! I needed one to hide the boxes in my office. But unknown those usually run around $200+. Thank you for the awesome hack tutorial!
I'm just so glad you used a stain instead of painting it with a flat lifeless white.
That is a really smart way to make a versatile room divider .They are so expensive !!!❤❤❤
I love this probably way cheaper than buying a divider. I'm a crazy person who decorates like a grandma so I'd put some nice floral or a green velvet on the divider and make it all fancy but really I'm so going to use this hack if I ever get a place that needs a room divider.
I can put a mirror on the backside wall so I can get ready in the morning when all the bathrooms are taken...🤔
Thats so clever, thank you for taking the time to build and share it
I’ve spent literally hours tonight trying to find the right dividers for my home office space and literally this quick video right here solved my problem! This is what RUclips was made for. Thank you for sharing one of the coolest IKEA hacks 😎
Such a great idea! I would spend a lil extra and get caning for it 😍
I love this! The partition that ikea is currently selling is $180 I believe. This is much more affordable but also I'm not handy enough for this 😂
Whoa, this is so innovative and simple; love the natural texture the fabric gives against the wood- gorgeous 🤎
OMG loveeeee! And we need a privacy screen too!
That's awesome! The fact that you can use for jewelry too is just too cool
For those of you who ever wondered why ikea only had half of what you needed to build your furniture piece in stock, this is why. 😂😂😂
By far the coolest IKEA hack I’ve ever seen. Well done you. 👍👍👍
Oh you're so smart! I would use them as a room divider and hang photos.
Audible Shouting! I think I'm going to have to do this! #WomanWithAThousandScarves
This is great if you have “leftover burlap” and “old wooden dowels” on hand and really love the diy of it all… but after buying the wood, burlap, stain, metal parts and wooden disks are you really saving anything? What have we hacked exactly?
I think it depends. if you diy and build a lot of stuff you probably do already have dowels, stains, etc.
the other side of it is the cheapest divider I can buy in Australia is $70. but it's made of a woven material or wicker, so it won't last well.
this one could last for generations if you change the burlap if it gets damaged (or want to change the mood)
also depends if you have time whether it's worth it or not.
Sweet! I’ve always wanted a divider, but could never afford it, so trying this!
Spot on idea..I love it. Didn't know Ikea sold these.
I've been wanting a room divider! I love this one! How creative! It's beautiful
Thank you!! 😊
Very nice! I am a jewelry designer and thinking this would make a perfect display for a pop up where there is not merchandise to build my sell scene! ❤️
Great idea!
Right, you could add locking caster wheels to transport it.
Thank You very much for the clip. I'm going to make the same thing with batik fabric, will work for my bedroom
YES YES YES!!! LOVE THIS! EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED FOR MY DAUGHTERS BABY SHOWER IM THROWING! THIS WILL NOW DO THE FABRIC CURTAIN HOLDER/WALL PICTURE SPOT FOR BABY SHOWER GUEST and gifts. JUST GOING TO BE PERFECT :-) THXS SO MUCH!!! I appreciate it!
Oh my gosh I have been looking for a screen like this for ages! Looks amazing! Going to try this. Thank you!
Very creative and well executed!
I think this is a very good way to have the product that best suits you.
I have been looking for a room divider , now I stop looking & start making one , Thank you so much . 😊
Same
I so want to do this. I love how you use it to keep your jewelry. I have two bracelets that I love to wear most of the time. I would also add a small basket to hold a couple of things I put in my pockets daily and the hat my stuff all stays in is not working.
no idea u were going turn into that . I was like amazing 😍
I do love this diy! i have wanted a vintage screen since i was a child. Tho I'd opt for some red/cherry stain and printed fabric
Wow😍 it's so useful especially when you livin in studio type apartment to separate some space for dressing ❤️👍👍👍
You are uber skilled👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Love it! Just in time for a room change.
Not only did I audibly say, “that is so cool”, I also said “woah🤯” when I saw the place for jewelry. You did a beautiful job 🥹
Oh wow! Now this was absolutely worth watching.
Are you dividing the corner of the room from the rest of the room?
Burlap is so versatile!! I used black burlap for speaker grille cloth- worked great!!
As someone who loves IKEA and works there, I have to say. This is so amazing and the finishing product looks so cool. I love to see that people are so creative with the products and give them more purposes than the standard uses. I'm definitely going to think about trying this one myself one day.
Finally an actually easy and practical ikea diy!
Awesome! I bought a ladder to hang towels and I could do this with it! I only have a tiny space in my laundry room. Thanks!
Super cool idea! Would love to know how much it cost you! 💖
that's actually fantastic idea, because I have been trying to buy a roomdivider and they are usually so expensive
I love this one. Thanks for sharing ♡
You are so welcome!
That is a really good idea. Saves time and money to build the frame! Thank you!
No problem!
Wow. Love that the holes + dowels also make this a storage option!
Yes! Totally pinching this idea!
This would make a great zoom background as well. I totally hate the green screen ones because it always chops my ears off. Thanks for this idea.
Cool but the necklace thing would drive me crazy. But you COULD hang some small hooks off that dowel or something like that to make it a much easier version of that!
Nice! Looks like swedish kindergarten in the 70s
I think this is my favorite one I've ever seen! Not only is it lovely and of something I would find useful, but it uses materials I keep thinking I'd like to use to make something!
I absolutely
Love this!!! Great job!
i don’t understand what this is for, it just looks like it takes up space for no reason it doesn’t divide the room
I love it ! 😍👍
Thank you! Cheers!
i love them as shelves - not so much as room dividers. I think maybe if you used something other than burlap - I dunno. The stain is also a little too dark for me - I love the warm color they already are. I wonder what these would look like staggered on a wall as thin shelves with art in some, nick knacks in others, and lights others, and maybe even a small flat screen tv mounted on the wall in one of the spaces......
That’s really creative. I didn’t know they sold this, and even if I had I would never have thought of that. Pretty cool
me thinking that looks like one of those old fashioned dividers where you change on the other side, lol
That's essentially what it is she's just using it for a different purpose.
Brilliant!!
You’re bad ass my dear! Love this
the wood dowel addition was a great idea
i know of dixie bell products and that stain is so pretty
now THAT was clever!!🙌👍
This is such a good idea, screens pre built like this seem sooooo expensive and this way you could even change the fabric for a new look pretty easily
This is brilliant!!!!
I LOVE it. I have a studio so this would be soo perfect. What a great idea 💡
It is cool as long as you have a gigantic work space, tools, supplies and just extra stuff hanging around to pull it all together!
Those who are creative, do.
