But this video is trash. I assumed from the title and how they only mention 5 athletes, it's referring to athletes that were literally never beaten during their entire senior careers. Like how Usain never lost 2008-2014 or Simone never lost in All-Around 2014-2020 at any competition, but for their entire senior careers. Kim Yuna doesn't have that kind of dominance.

      2. The idea that a single individual is somehow responsible for the placing of their team in an event like team figure skating is quite baffling. If your individual score is the highest in your category (which was the case with Yuzuru in Sochi) but competitors of other disciplines won more total points for their teams, it's not exactly in any way decided based on that single performance.
I'm so very sorry that you can't handle the fact that one of the best figure skaters in history recieves too much positive attention to your liking. If you win once and retire you’re unbeaten. In a team sport there are probably unbeaten alternates who never took the field/ice/court/whatever. Just like there’s a backup NFL QB with multiple SB rings who never played in the big game. There are some weird back ways to being unbeaten. People who go to the Olympic 4, 5, 6, 7 times are more impressive to me. Even if they never bring home the gold… to qualify every time takes 16-28 years of dedication to being world class at something. Plus all the time leading up to your first olympics. That’s insane. Those people are truly great. Once in a while though, the multi-Olympiad freaks also bring home medals every time and THAT is insane. Even if they don’t win every time.

Teofilo might have had 5 golds, if Cuba didn't boycott 1984 and 1988 Olympics.
Felix Savon could have had 4 golds, if Cuba didn't boycott 1988 Olympic
We can see several names in this video are questionable, either having only 1 Olympic or two.

What about Discus thrower Al Orter- first four time Olympic Champion in one event (1956, 1960, 1964, 1968) before retiring. In 1964 he won the gold medal even though he was throwing in great pain due to tearing rib cartilage a week before the final. This was back in the true amateur days so he was also an aerospace engineer for Northrop Grumman. In 1980 he tried to make an Olympic comeback at age 43 when he throw 42 feet farther than his 1956 gold medal winning throw. But America boycotted the 1980 Moscow Olympics and he finished 4th in the U.S. Trials.
