    Good day, thank you for this video. I am attending college and thought of writing a paper on the Milton Bradley company. This was a great introduction to help me think more critically about the company.

      That's awesome! I hope your paper gets a great grade. I'm just happy that I was able to help be one of your starting points for your research. Let me know how it goes. :)

    Really appreciate the research and time it took to make this. There's so much about Milton Bradley that I didn't know about at all.

      Thanks so much. Yeah, this video was a lot of work, I was really hoping that it would get enough views to warrant a whole series.

    Horrible move by Hasbro. MB meant and means fun even today. Thank you a lot for all the amazing information! I was asking myself what happened with MB and now I know thanks to you!

      You're very welcome. Thank you for watching and commenting. Hasbro has unfortunately been the end to the stories of so many once great companies.

      After not only that, since MB was part of Hasbro, all of the home versions of classic game shows ended up moving their license to Endless Games by the late 1990’s and re-released “Password” and “The Price Is Right” with different designs. Hasbro had no luck of re-releasing home versions of classic game shows after 2009.

    Thank you! I had a Vectrex as a kid - had no idea the connection to the board games in my closet.

      You're very welcome. Before doing my research, I didn't know much about the Vectrex or Microvision, and had no idea that they were published by Milton Bradley as well.

    Hasbro didn't convert Milton Bradley Company into a brand until 1998!

    • @TheBoardGameKaptain
      @TheBoardGameKaptain  3 года назад

      Hasbro bought Milton Bradley in 1984. In 1998 they merged Milton Bradley with Parker Brothers under Hasbro games, but kept using the company name and logo of Milton Bradley for games that were famously theirs. They stopped using the name in 2009.

      And then, in 2009, Hasbro killed MB and absorbed into one company known for the Hasbro Gaming brand.

      @@TheBoardGameKaptain By 1986, MB gave up the game show based board games with “Password” and “The Price Is Right”, the final two board games based on the popular game shows until they just gave up following Hasbro’s purchase from two years before. Both of these games were moved its license to Endless Games in 1998 and re-release the two board games due to the success of the game shows that GSN ran at the time.

      Originally, this video had not done too well, but now it's picked up lots of views over time. I'm planning to do more videos in the series now.
