I'm loving the psvr2. The oled her screen is the best display I have seen and I have had 6 headset going back to the original oculus rift. This video clearly has some agenda as the psvr2 is an excellent device and I share my time between psvr2 and my reverb G2 on my pc gaming rig. Anybody buying the psvr2 wont be disappointed.
"Don't buy this because later technology might be better!" could be said about literally any tech product that has ever been sold. It's not a legit justification to avoid buying something that's top of the line right now.
I got my headset at launch and I’m happy with mine and I would of had to pay lot more than I paid if I would have just built a PC and bought a dedicated headset and there a few good games to play you just have to watch the reviews and mobile vr can’t really be compared to high fidelity vr it’s 2 totally different things one is underpowered and always will be and the other has 10 teraflops of power attached to it
@Bingus for one I’ve already got a PS4 Pro and a PS5 and for 2 you said get a Pico Neo 4 and it doesn’t have eye tracking nor does it have HDR or headset haptics so I would have to spend £800 on the enterprise version of the headset and not even have have the last feature I mentioned as no headset currently even has that to even get that feature and that cost more than what I paid for my headset plus I wouldn’t be getting the AAA exclusives from Sony like GT7 as most of the games I like are on PlayStation plus I don’t like the controllers on anything other headsets than the PlayStation VR 2 plus I paid roughly more for my original PSVR with the camera and the move controllers PC’s are cool and everything but it doesn’t have the games a really want to play exclusively to them
@@paulnicolas172 Agreed. Psvr2 is offering high end vr at a great price point. A ps5 and psvr2 costs pretty much the same as a valve index on it's own. Its fantastic tech for the price.
@@BrianPotter-ue4wr Well It kind of depends - yes if you buy everything brand new but not necessarily if you buy used - right now I bought a used pc with gtx 1080 and a valve index for £750 on eBay whereas I’d have to buy a new psvr2(630) and a used ps5 for £300 so that’s £950 as well the psvr2 games are expensive whereas pc games can be a lot cheaper depending . So yeah your right if new. The main reason for me wanting an index over psvr2 is a better field of view which is a big thing to me and I like using vorpx to play original 2d games in 3D. I very much appreciate though why someone would want a psvr2 though partly because of its line up of games and ease of use but a lot of the games have been ported over from pc and apart from a few show case games eg horizon and resident evil I don’t see that much improvement in graphics but that depends upon what pc and mods you have of course . To be honest though I’d much prefer a pimax headset over both as fantastic clarity and fov but it’s much to fidgety to get up and running not just initially but for each games and requires a beefy pc 😞Cheers
@@paulnicolas172 Yeah to be fair the ps5 is at least twice as powerful as a 1080 according to digital foundry research so you are going to get better looking games on psvr2 than index with a 1080. Upon saying that, the index is a good headset albeit with a much lower resolution than psvr2. The index is just showing its age at the moment, still I do really enjoy the index I just feel psvr2 gives a much better experience. To be expected though as it's much newer tech. To be honest all VR is great and should be enjoyed no matter what platform you have.
Terrible video. Been into VR for years. Resident evil 8 VR on psvr2 has been one of the best gaming experiences I have had in my life and I am nearly 55 years old. It's as good as half life Alyx which I played on the rift S. GT7 is mind blowing as well. Why are you spreading misinformation about psvr2.
I had psvr1 loved it ,now psvr2 just blowing me away fantastic graphics brilliant haptic feedback eye tracking just fantastic value for money, for what it does 😊

As good as quest devices as, the mobile chipsets are never as powerful as games console or PCs. There is a reason the ps5 is so big and a pc is big. There are a lot of components needed to provide the power for top quality graphics output. Mobile phone chips used in quest 2 and the upcoming quest 3 just do t have that kind of power unfortunately.

Don’t listen to the bs it is a great headset.I haven’t had any issues and it has made me stop playing flatscreen games.I’ve been games for 46 years and this is my first vr and is the best gaming experience I’ve ever had

I'm calling bollox pal. I have psvr1 psvr2 a quest 2 and vive xr elite. The psvr2 is far better than quest 2 and xr elite. Unless you pump these into a serious pc, you ain't getting anything better right now. Psvr2 and it's oled , and eye tracking is incredible.

Look at the comparison videos online of saints and Sinners on quest 2, psvr2 and pcvr. Psvr2 makes quest 2 look like garbage. Psvr2 is equivalent to high end pcvr.
Wish I hadn’t bought it. The wire on the back is annoying. Constantly having to adjust the focus wheel. Not very many great games. No backwards compatibility to psvr1. I thought my oculus quest 2 was better. Oculus has its own library and no wires. You can hook it to your pc through virtual desktop. Just ordered the meta quest 3. Going to give my quest 2 to a friend and play quest and steam stuff together. I wanted to like psvr2 but it’s awful. No backwards compatibility to psvr1 is the worst part. The only reason I have not sold my psvr2 is resident evil 4 remake vr is coming and that’s the reason I actually bought it.
I will be honest you do have to find the sweet spot on psvr2, but I find it ever time now, been playing res8 graphic amazing hepatic feedback brilliant, trust me i was transported to a very scary world truly amazing. And I was a psvr1 player as well 😊

True, when you look at the "total Price" you have to add PS5 price. Do you just want to play VR/should you buy PSVR2 here is the real question - AGREE. So it really depends the point of interest of the customer. Do you have PS5 and you want the best VR experince --> BUY. You already have VR and/or you do not have PS5 --> you should probably skip purchase. 2 and 3. NO Compatibility - not an issue actually if good new games are coming - better experience anyway (so DISAGREE). Poor lineup --> its beginning it will get better... (DISAGREE) 4. Hardware - do not buy if you do not want it (accesories).. Audio -- every true gamer has their own headphones if they care about good sound - not using stock anyways. Strongest/best hardware as VR quality. (DISAGREE with you on this one). 5. True about that it is a question of individual needs/wishes. (AGREE). Good informational video, I would suggest, if you OWN PS5 and wanna try VR (best on the market) you should buy PSVR2, it is great!
I'd say if you have a ps5 and don't have a VR headset than it's worth it, but if you already have a PC VR headset than most of the games are already on PC so not worth the money
How many worthwile exlusives does the ps5 have that "you should own it anyway"? Lets be real, scarcity was one factor, but no system seller software is also a reason why the ps5 only sold around 30 mil. in almost 2+ years.
I've had PSVR2 since day one and it's jaw-dropping and next generation VR and blows the quest out of the water graphically and with immersion plus has won the Golden Joystick award.... the person making this video probably works for meta 😂

You have a "friend" you don't have a pcvr headset, if you have a PlayStation 5 already and no PC, it's worth it, but if you have a PC then it's not worth it. The game library is pathetic, and the valve index is leagues better in terms of tracking and usage

Agree with all your points !!! Except with the lens part . It's not that bad . So far best example of a game that has acclimated to the psvr 2 is NMS . After that last update it really shows the potential of the unit . Sadly psvr 2 is getting a shit ton of shovel ware and direct ports of the quest version of the game so the graphics and resolution is not at it full potential . So yeah I don't think psvr 2 is worth is right now sadly . I am a first adopter and have been pretty disappointed with the game line up. Only a handful of great experiences.
i thought it was trash. The graphics dont look any better than the psvr 1, its actually very painful to wear, i cant play my $472 worth of vr games with it, and im forced to use these vr controllers and the ps5 vr games makes me sick within 1 minute
Also, many people my self included have dealt with so many technical difficulties. For no reason out of nowhere my headset camera's stopped working and it's turns off by itself after 2 minutes of being on They released overpriced faulty headset's with a terrible game library which I thought would be better at this point. I have a 6 year old oculus and that thing is still alive and well.

I know what is causing the great discomfort on the forehead, its a thick looping wire running through behind the padding in a curve shape on the end right and left... just look at your forehead in the mirror after use and you will see the proof starring you right in the face. Then press on the padding and feel the damn thick wires for yourself behind the padding... a very bad design flaw.
American's pronounce it as "fruh-nel" which sounds virtually the same as "fer-nel" when said quickly. The British (and presumably other Europeans) pronounce it "frez-nul"
Have you seen the videos comparing quest to psvr2? Psvr2 is miles ahead and comparable to pcvr. Quest 3 is still going to be powered by a mobile phone chip!!!!!. A ps5 is similar to a mid range gaming pc. The psvr2 will still be miles more powerful than quest 3. People need to realise this before wasting there money on quest 3.

I agree with all this - additionally a Mura effect , non wireless and still last gen fov of only 110 degrees not to mention the games are expensive and no 3D Blu-ray support . I wouldn’t buy the quest 2 either as the fov is even smaller like 95 degrees like looking through binoculars . Best strategy for me is to wait 2-4 years and buy it used for a lot less or wait to see if anything better comes on the market .
Wait for wireless one. Everything on market is garbage. Plus its not glasses friendly. And psvr1 games not compatible with 2. I was finally hoping to play some LA Noire, Batman, and Spiderman, oh and Iron Man.

1. Pricing --> not cheap, if you can't afford it don't buy it ; on the otherside comparing to other VR headseats/prices, not so pricey. (DISAGREE). PSVR2 can not function without console. True, when you look at the "total Price" you have to add PS5 price. Do you just want to play VR/should you buy PSVR2 here is the real question - AGREE. So it really depends the point of interest of the customer. Do you have PS5 and you want the best VR experince --> BUY. You already have VR and/or you do not have PS5 --> you should probably skip purchase.
2 and 3. NO Compatibility - not an issue actually if good new games are coming - better experience anyway (so DISAGREE). Poor lineup --> its beginning it will get better... (DISAGREE)
4. Hardware - do not buy if you do not want it (accesories).. Audio -- every true gamer has their own headphones if they care about good sound - not using stock anyways. Strongest/best hardware as VR quality. (DISAGREE with you on this one).
5. True about that it is a question of individual needs/wishes. (AGREE).
Good informational video, I would suggest, if you OWN PS5 and wanna try VR (best on the market) you should buy PSVR2, it is great!

I'd say if you have a ps5 and don't have a VR headset than it's worth it, but if you already have a PC VR headset than most of the games are already on PC so not worth the money

I dont need a PS5 or Xbox console, all the games are on PC. Sony sabotaging the LOU PC release is purely on them and deserve the critism.
How many worthwile exlusives does the ps5 have that "you should own it anyway"? Lets be real, scarcity was one factor, but no system seller software is also a reason why the ps5 only sold around 30 mil. in almost 2+ years.
I'm blown away by psvr2. Wony be getting a quest 3. It will be powered by a mobile chip. Still nowhere near as powerful as a ps5.
I am a pcvr user so I will be getting it. Those pancake lenses and the high quality cameras be looking hella tempting

You have a "friend" you don't have a pcvr headset, if you have a PlayStation 5 already and no PC, it's worth it, but if you have a PC then it's not worth it. The game library is pathetic, and the valve index is leagues better in terms of tracking and usage
@@teetnus3458 I have an index and ps5 and psvr2. The index is not better. Psvr2 is higher resolution, has Oled panels and better controllers, plus eye tracking.

Agree with all your points !!! Except with the lens part . It's not that bad . So far best example of a game that has acclimated to the psvr 2 is NMS . After that last update it really shows the potential of the unit . Sadly psvr 2 is getting a shit ton of shovel ware and direct ports of the quest version of the game so the graphics and resolution is not at it full potential . So yeah I don't think psvr 2 is worth is right now sadly . I am a first adopter and have been pretty disappointed with the game line up. Only a handful of great experiences.

Also, many people my self included have dealt with so many technical difficulties. For no reason out of nowhere my headset camera's stopped working and it's turns off by itself after 2 minutes of being on
They released overpriced faulty headset's with a terrible game library which I thought would be better at this point. I have a 6 year old oculus and that thing is still alive and well.

I know what is causing the great discomfort on the forehead, its a thick looping wire running through behind the padding in a curve shape on the end right and left... just look at your forehead in the mirror after use and you will see the proof starring you right in the face. Then press on the padding and feel the damn thick wires for yourself behind the padding... a very bad design flaw.

Have you seen the videos comparing quest to psvr2? Psvr2 is miles ahead and comparable to pcvr. Quest 3 is still going to be powered by a mobile phone chip!!!!!. A ps5 is similar to a mid range gaming pc. The psvr2 will still be miles more powerful than quest 3. People need to realise this before wasting there money on quest 3.

I agree with all this - additionally a Mura effect , non wireless and still last gen fov of only 110 degrees not to mention the games are expensive and no 3D Blu-ray support . I wouldn’t buy the quest 2 either as the fov is even smaller like 95 degrees like looking through binoculars . Best strategy for me is to wait 2-4 years and buy it used for a lot less or wait to see if anything better comes on the market .
