I agree, she is probably the first harbinger so far who wasn't a problem in the archon quest, every other harbinger has caused a major problem to the entire region. Hopefully get some antagonistic vibe from her this time around.
The problem with calling Arlecchino as a problem in the first place in the Archon quests. As Hoyo wanted to change things up with the story, the villain in the Archon quest is not the Harbinger but The Heavenly Principal/the prophecy by making Furina, the Archon herself as the antagonist of the story. Arlecchino done nothing but helping the main characters/traveler in the Archon quest. She done her purpose perfectly as she suppose to as Lyney and Lynette is the main fatui agent in the story. Yes, she is a red hearing but nowhere indicate in the story that she is a villain. Conclusion, nothing should fix Arlecchinno as nothing is broken in the first place as the Fontaine story shouldn't end until the interlude quest so her part have been planned for the future as I couldn't even think anything I want to change in Fontaine Archon quest except making fortress of meropide shorter. Making her screen time more wouldn't change anything as it would deluded her presence in future meaningful story about her.
Yeah bur that's the point. She was there just because mihoyo wanted her to be there. And it is Lyney who helped the main cast the most. So it would be more suitable to just never show her in the first place and develop lyney instead
Didn’t Childe also help the traveler when we first met him? Wouldn’t that mean that they haven’t actually changed things up but just simply didn’t add anything antagonistic to her character in the quest except for when she chased Furina which was kinda disappointing as it was basically just pictures. And this would be nothing compared to the antagonistic actions Childe committed in Liyue. Arlecchinno has been described as a wolf in sheep’s clothing by Wanderer and Childe has said that there is no sane bone in her body yet all we see of her is a bit of intimidation and kind acts. And also the fact that Childe doesn’t like her, thinks she is unloyal and manipulative and higher ranking suggests that she is worse then Childe. Her actions in the quest are completely contradictory to how she is described as a Fatui Harbinger. It would be better if she is shown to have stronger qualities of being manipulative, hints to her true dark colours, and rather then wanting to help Fontaine out of kindness it would be better to have her manipulate and bargain her helping Fontaine for the Gnosis.
Though I may not pull for her, I am really interested to look into her story specially with possible lore relations too. I feel there may be lot to unpack with her but it is up to hoyo to execute it well🙂
