Ferrari tried to get into Super GT during the 80s but partially failed, I believe also due to the lack of heavy interest in that field, men in Alfa Romeo were instead side by side with technicians and mechanics from Lancia (that won 6 WRC championships before) in order to succeed in ITC, DTM, ITCC, etc. They had a lot of potential and were really invested in Gt racing. You could feel their passion even when they were speaking.
