I'm very pleased to show you a video of a pure Italian motorsport legend: the Alfa Romeo 155 V6 Ti. The one you see here it's an ex 1996 DTM, or better ITC (International Touring Car Championship), chassis SE065-007, which is nowdays owned and driven by Fabrizio Pandolfi. The car is moved by a 690RC 2.5 litre V6 engine which is able to produce a max power of around 490bhp and reach the insane speed rotation of 12000 rpm. The car was driving around a temporary street circuit created on purpose for the 2015 IHCC (Italian Historic Cars Camaiore), an event organized by AS Camaiore Motorsport to celebrate some of the most iconic Italian race cars made by Alfa Romeo, Abarth and Lancia in the hometown of Nicola Larini (1993 DTM Champion).
In this video you can see some details of the car, a lovely warm up and 5 mins of accelerations, fly bys, downshift and more. Enjoy!!

That thing was pretty much a standard chassis, only completely gutted, fitted with a roll cage and other race-spec parts and then sent to win races. Cool times indeed.

***** You´ve gone and did it again... I come home from work faaar too late after having an especially rough day AND BAM! there it is. A 155 V6 Ti in TV Spielfilm livery. The very car that defined my childhood and made me love motorsport racing alongside the 190 Evo 2.3 and 2.5 in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft.
A car which my 7 year old self loved so much, that I wore it on a red shirt in elementary school as often as i could.
You know, there are many cars that are extremely fast, gorgeous to look at, sound sublime and have lots of pedigree. But not many cars have ALL of the above. The 155 V6 Ti is among the very, very few cars about which I wouldn´t change a single thing, even if that thing made them objectively better. It´s a perfect machine in every aspect.
    Thank you, Master Bozzy!

Jeremy J. Always a pleasure for me to read your comments Jeremy. I've always had a weakness for this car even if I've never seen it racing back in the 90s 'cause I was too young. But games, videos, stories helped me to learn all of it. ;)

***** Hey man, it´s good to know I´m able to give something back, you know?
It´s kinda sad that the old DTM can´t be revived, even if only as a Classic Trophy. Don´t get me wrong, I love the current DTM in all it´s technical glory and insane performance - but the rules are too tight.
There won´t be ever again a 4WD car in the DTM. Against the rules.
Never again will two engine concepts (BMW and Mercedes 4cyl. vs. Alfa 6 cyl.) compete against each other again - all essential parts are homologized and unified.
Never again will cars as light, basic and nimble as the E30 M3 be rewarded under DTM rules - the max. weight difference is the +15 kg a repeat winner gets put in his car.
Never again will 2 truly different Touring Cars battle against each other - again, drivetrain, engines, chassis construction, aerodynamics and all the other things are all narrowly defined.
That, and much more that is lost, makes me a bit sad and nostalgic, even though I still love the current DTM.
I may soon have kids, I will make sure to pass my love of Motorsports on to them. may they one day think the same about the then-DTM as I think about the 90´s DTM :)
      Have a good evening!

Jeremy J. I can't believe how you can still like the current DTM, when you have clearly figured out, why the old DTM/ITC was so interesting.

armorgeddon You can like more than only one thing, you know. I love the modern DTM for what it is: A damn close competition with surreally fast "Touring Cars".

Thank you very much for this great video 19Bozzy92. Great to see these old cars still performing so well.
My friend and I have recently bought a 155 Cloverleaf Four (Q4) which whilst differing from your featured car is essentially the complete 4WD running gear and drive train from a Lancia Delta HF Integrale. We plan to completely restore this old girl but then go the extra mile and finish her in a DTM/ITC/BTCC look that's permissible on UK roads. The difficulty is in finding the Alfa Corse DTM bodywork and it will probably need to be hand made once moulds are sourced.
She currently puts out about 260 HP which is great for her condition. We are not going to chase the top end horsepower, she has to be a road car after all so will aim for around 320-350 and see what happens. The biggest discussion now is whether to finish her in classic Alfa red like the 93 DTM car of Larini or go for the later white Martini colours. I'd be happy to welcome thoughts on that from Alfistas here.
The project will be documented in full and if people are interested I will pass on a website URL once I've set it up.
