Yea more info i found out later on from my situation in the comments that, the cpu i got had a bent pin, but how could they repackage with the intel label sticker? you have to break from the factory? it was sealed closed and i found out i had the very "1st", distributed production version of the 12900k, i thought that was neat, says 001 on the back am i right to assume that? I can provide video/img if need be, just sharing the experience.
I bent the one pin back to "perfection", with a pin (nvr did it b4) took an actual magnified glass to a phone camera, to be sure i got it and did a 360 and couldn't spot it at all, think i got an video/img of that also. All cores are loaded and all that jazz.
The products have been find, but idk whats going on with the so called RTX on the gfx, what tests do i need to run, besides gaming, the pc is nvr nor will ever be online so can't really do that stuff atm. I do video/rendering/three dimensional(game character design) works. I do use an engine that utilizes the RTX options but it just seems very weird and like it is not really doing anything, its like software or hardware locked, i did tests before this with the 12 year old gfx card i had and it does more than this, sh!t does...
edit oh yea and RTX or raytracing in real time has been out for over 10 years from just looking for videos on the subject on the tube... like renderings in real time they aren't really doing anything new which tells me they are forcefully hardware/software locking these.."advances".

Between Newegg trying to dump excess inventory, Microcenter literally giving away DDR5 memory with an AM5 build, and Micron cutting capital investment by 50% due to deteriorating demand, all signs point to a massive glut of supply coming in the immediate future.

There is also the downturn in the PC market generally to consider. Cheap DDR5 atm is more than likely bad DDR5 memory as mentioned above.DDR5 will remain significantly higher than DDR4 for the time being, they will always be able to sell DDR5, demand for DDR4 will slowly start to dry up and that is when DDr4 will become more expensive. I recently bought, among other things, an AMD EPYC CPU. It came installed in the chip carrier upside down and in the wrong orientation. Glad I caught that before I bent pins or fried components. I contacted them so they could fix it before another customer had a problem. They clearly didn't care, but they did offer me a $25 discount on my next purchase! I'm totally going to use that the next time I buy a $1K CPU from them! So stoked.
I also posted a review so that other customers could be warned -- the review hasn't been posted and seems to have disappeared entirely. That's odd.
So yeah, I'm done with them.

The HVPWR plug apparently communicates the power supply's capabilities to the 40XX card and the card can send its power requirement data to the ATX 3.0 supply. An ATX 2.0 power supply could be adapted to fit that, but would not pass the data back and forth between the power supply and video card, which I presume could result in undervolting the card or overstressing the supply (at least the way he put it). ruclips.net/video/K6FiGEAp928/видео.html

When first installed on my I7-11700F in a Fractal Designs Focus G, temps rarely got 10c above ambient even with a slightly less than optimal install. However, I started getting thermal throttling to 800 mHz and CPU temps of 100c after about 6 months. The radiator didn't even warm up, but the hoses sure did.
Lucky for me, I was able to find someone local with a LNIB Scythe Fuma 2 for a whopping $25 as I had nothing else handy. 😎
Keep your boxes, all of them! I cannot RMI mine as I lost the box during a recent move.

What an exciting time! I don't remember a product launch cycle being so energized. Gamers Nexus is killing it with fantastic content over the past month or so. As a retired Metrologist with 35 years in the career field I enjoy your in depth testing and look forward to all the cool future projects planned!

Does your pressure test work while hot or cold? I’m curious if the heat from a CPU being on will make any difference in its relative flatness.

I'd imagine since the heatspreaders are uniform metal, they shouldn't deform at all, especially at

@@ShinyPeeko I am inclined to assume the same, but I think it’s still something worth testing. It’s not just the metal, but also the silicon of the CPU and MOBO that are also experiencing heat; I am completely unaware of their characteristics when heated. Perhaps there could be a minuscule, yet significant deformation that allows the mounting points of the MOBO the bend slightly upward, resulting in less pressure holding the cooler down.

I am in the same boat. I spent over $7,000 on my PC last year, not a dollar of it at Newegg, when I used to make roughly 90% of my PC purchases with them. I don't know whether they care or not, but I think they should.

LOL, I was an early adopter of the Lumen. It rattled from day one and my temps were 60+, but reopening my new PC to troubleshoot the aio made me anxious. It failed just last week, switched to a noctua heatsink and not looking back. Kinda mad at myself for tolerating the throttling for an entire year.
