So, 32.4 FPS is displayed as "30 FPS", while 32.5 FPS becomes "35 FPS". Sure... makes perfect sense 8< (
Strangely, in many cases, the differences between cards they have HUGE stock levels of and the ones they have relatively few of has been adjusted to favor the ones they're trying to get rid of. Guess it's cheaper for them to create a bogus comparison chart to move overstock than to lower prices. Of course, a "GPU comparison site" run by the retailer of all the products on the site is a clear conflict of interest to begin with, but I guess that shows just how much Newegg cares about fostering well-informed consumers.

Sears traded a century of reputation amongst consumers and employees for a quick payday in the nineties, and now they barely exist. Craftsman used to be the most trusted and reliable midtier tool brand, and they used that reputation to sell all higher prices while slapping production costs by making crap products out of crap materials, and within five years they were a joke. Leaning on an earned reputation to blow up short term profits by cutting costs only benefits CEOs that have golden parachutes and can claim they increased profits by 400% in two quarters, leaving out that it resulted in the company going out of business. Now I'd be worried that I'd get a broken part and they'd blame me.

Also, I can't help but point out how a bar chart for comparing 2 things is least useful when the bars start at the same point then spread apart. The point of comparisons is to see both tips of the bars side by side, not as far apart as possible.
If you're trying to use a chart to visualize data then spreading the number values as far from eachother as will fit on the screen is the diametric opposite of that goal. It accomplishes data visualisation in literally the worst possible way imaginable. I can't even think up a sarcastic way of making a chart less useful than spreading values apart to compare them especially without grids, scales, or any context whatsoever. Even pie charts would be more useful graphic representations of comparisons in this case.
Thank god we don't need to compare real data though, given the numbers were made up and rounded estimates based off of unrelated synthetic benchmark (singular, not plural) anyway lol.
TLDR this should be illegal. How is consumer protection bureau not all over this? You can't just play dumb and pretend this is an honest mistake, they're intending to mislead consumers that a triple slot card is better than a dual slot card, as if you're paying for real estate. I'd NEVER buy a GPU from a company who knows so little about hardware that they call '1440p' "2k". 1440p is NOT "2k"
When a res is referred to as 480p/720p/1080p is reffers to the nearest vertical pixel count
When a res is referred to as 4k/8k it refers to the nearest horizontal pixel count
So, "2k" is ACTUALLY 1080p as the 1920p horizontal pixel count is closer to "2k" than the 2560p of a 1440p monitor, If anything, 1440p is 2.5k

Even 4k isn't really 4k: the term is from cinema packaging where the aspect ratio is different for every title, so they measure by fitting it in a 2:1 aspect box and measuring the width, because most cinema is larger than 2:1 and thus is limited by the width.
So in short, 4k is supposed to be fitting a 4096x2048 box, not the 3840x2160 resolution that is actually the continuation of the computer/TV resolutions and nothing to do with cinema packaging.

Userbenchmark is good only to check if your PC is performing as expected because you can compare your CPU/GPU/HDD/SSD performance to other users that benchmarked the same components, it isn't perfect as other people may test parts that are overclocked or benchmark them while doing something in background making the average score go up and down a little bit, but it is simple and relatively fast test I like to do on PCs. However, yes, for comparing between multiple CPU or GPU models it truly is misleading as many times it does not represent true difference in performance. Intel CPUs usually have higher average score that AMD counterparts even though they perform similarly in gaming or productivity. Different GPU architecture have weird average scores too, RX 6600 have a score of 77.7% while RTX 2060 have 88.5%, which doesn't make any sense when in gaming RX 6600 performance is closer to RTX 3060, definitely higher than a 2060.

In early 2018, customers in the state of Connecticut were notified that Newegg had not collected state sales tax due on out-of-state purchases in the past three years. Newegg was given a choice of collecting such tax in the future or turning over customer information to the state's Department of Revenue Services, which would require customers to file a sales tax form for the past three years of purchases. Newegg chose to furnish the customer information;[42] as Newegg did not have a physical presence in Connecticut, Newegg believed it did not need to collect state sales tax from the ruling in Quill Corp. v. North Dakota. Connecticut's Department of Revenue Services later issued tax bills to these customers.[43]

NewEgg is stuck with a bunch of GPU's they intended to sell to miners? So sad too bad. They best mark them down below cost and sell them in a hurry before the next generation hits the shelves. If it puts them out of business I'll try to not laugh too hard.
No one has ever adequately dealt with the fact that we know how many chips were made and how many cards, roughly, were made for these GPU's but those numbers are far, far higher than the numbers of cards that reached retailers or that online only retailers like NewEgg put on their website for consumers to buy. We also know that the big SI's had little if any issues with card inventory and that the enterprise world had no issues getting cards. Where in the stream were the miners getting the cards? Were the AIB partners selling to them directly? Were the big online only retailers diverting them? Does anyone really believe it was bots buying them off websites anymore?

    • @dondraper4438

Let's be real here, Nvidia, AIB's, and OEM's were selling directly to mining firms. Can i prove that in a court of law? No. But I don't need to, all we need to do is sit back and watch Nvidia's earnings call. Which is right around the corner and scheduled for the 24th of this month. Just kick back grab a 🍺 some 🍿
