I know how you feel but I think there’s a solution that makes everyone happy. Hopefully we’ll see more positive changes in the very near future

As someone who uses Larix daily I don’t mind the subscription based pricing. Cliffs videos have helped our IRL slots channel a lot. We would disconnect all the time due to cell service or bad casino Wi-Fi. Larix & streamer bot gives the ability to remotely start and stop stream on OBS. Improving our stream quality

I'm glad my videos helped with your IRL live streams :)

it's a bit sad, i used to stream for my friends like once or twice a month and now paying for belabox and larix its just too much

If I was streaming once or twice a month, I'd use the Streamlabs Mobile app. It even has disconnect protection which you can redeem with points (free) up to two times a month. Hope that helps

@@cliffcreates heads up. IRL PRO (android) looks the goods as a perfect replacement for larix.

We also encourage the audience to share any feature requests. Users' feedback in the main source of inspiration for our wishlist, so we're listening!

Cliff, thank you for sharing your opinion. Indeed, the team had to move into monetization just to keep the project running. Larix has tremendous feature set and we believe we can do even more than that. If you have any ideas about the problems that you want to solves with Larix but miss something for that, let us know.

Softvelum, I use your software daily and have gotten spoiled by it being free. I don't mind purchasing software I use, However, the subscription model is something that really bothers me, almost enough to stop using your software. I would prefer to purchase the product and any updates that I need, most of the new features you are adding are things i will never use. That being said the features I would like to see are an auto start that starts streaming when android boots up and an auto resume that resumes streaming after any interruptions such as overheat or loss of connectivity.

You're welcome and I understand the decision to monetize to keep the project going. Larix has, indeed, been a wonderful app for both iOS and Android users and why I tried to keep my video as neutral as possible.
I also don't want to be the type of person who just complains without a solution. I think it'd be an interesting discussion with my audience to hear their thoughts, maybe the types of monetization options they've seen and prefer, etc. I truly believe there's a win-win answer for everyone. Thanks!

@@cliffcreates You're right, we'd love to hear any other opinions on the monetization from the audience.

@@mlpmail We chose subscription model as it's a compromise. Users may be subscribed for as long as they need to use intense streaming. And we as a team have some predictable recurring revenue that keeps us going. As for autostart, let us check this with our developers on this. We got requests about it but probably both platforms don't allow this kind of behavior. If anything changes on that, we'll definitely try implementing this.

@@Softvelum It's a nice thing to see you engaging with your audience even in youtube comments. Unfortunately for me who uses Larix once in a while for IRL streaming on Twitch 10 euro a month is too much. HEVC was a life saver for data usage, but as a small creator I can't afford this for streaming IRL once every 2 or 3 months. I would have been happy to pay any fee because the app is actually really good.
