Nice build ! I like your defensive wall a lot and I normally don't like walls ^_^ simple and efficient layout. For your dorms adding a few rugs and plants might help to make them feel a bit more lived in as well a a small cooking place (don't even need a cooking station there just a table a hotplate and a bunch of cooking related junk) Keep up the good work, nice to see that people are still building in vanilla. I miss it but I don't have time to build a full settlement nowadays.
Thank you that means a lot! I appreciate the suggestions as well and definitely getting better with certain things as I go! Hope you stick around and enjoy more!
Really cool base. I loved the base building in Fallout 4! But I hated how the enemies spawned in the base when you fast traveled to a settlement even though you had a wall around everything.
Thanks man! And yeah I feel you, it’s not an issue at every settlement but depending on how you get the walls set up and where the spawn points are it definitely can be an issues. The only settlement I’ve had that happen so far is Sanctuary and that’s because it’s one of the larger ones and there’s a place that ghouls will spawn extremely close.
The simple expedient of throwing a few rugs down on floors goes a long way to making a place feel alive and lived in, especially if you are not going to do much, if any, other decorating. New sub.
Hey thank you for the suggestion and support! I’ll be uploading another tour vid shortly and I did do more in those areas to include your suggestion and I think it came out great! Should be up before the end of the day if not tomorrow and I hope you enjoy. Please keep up with suggestions and tips, it’ll help greatly for future builds and hopefully the growth of my channel.
Cool ideas. I love the combination of shack and defence walls. Also the barn blends in well. As for interior design: carpets! And plenty of tables and chairs. Settlers congregate in the evening on chairs and sofas. I love using combinations of candles, lamps and misc stuff like magazines and posters. More is more! I always imagine people in a post apoc setting to surround themselves with nice stuff that takes their mind of the dirtiness
Well I’m glad I could do that for you, that’s the goal at least! The bus is definitely one of my favorite parts as well. I just gotta loot up some more alcohol to make sure it’s stocked full for everyone lol.
Nice and scrappy, which is the way I like FF4 settlements to be. Considering how much time settlers would have to devote just to survival, defense, hunting, farming, and scavenging, it doesn't make much sense to me when I see a settlement build with brand new walls and equipment. Good job!
Thank you and i agree! It gives it a more realistic and comfortable feel to me, I plan to kinda stick with that theme throughout the series and future builds.
@Fulgrim-gm2dg From what the radiation?? that's not how it works otherwise there would be no one living on the surface period. Every well established settlement is gonna look scrappy and have holes because everything has been in bad shape for over 200 years and no one is looking to or can source or create new resources or materials with the exception of highly advanced groups such as the institute. The only building materials without that look anyways are the vault ones and all the other ones look the way they do to fit in with the post apocalyptic wasteland vibe which makes complete sense. I'm not sure what you're getting at but I'd like to unless i cleared up your confusion already with this comment.
@Fulgrim-gm2dg Also yes it is assumed that the settlers have a level of building knowledge but it should also be common knowledge that whatever resources they gather are probably going to be in extremely poor shape therefore resulting in the shack walls and other tattered building and decor items bethesda added in for that exact reason which has nothing to do with settler competency and everything to do with what is readily available to them in the wasteland.
@Fulgrim-gm2dg right I get that my point still stands. If the radiation was that severe then there would be no life period on the surface but since there is its obvious that it's not an issue but that doesnt change the fact that the bombs destroyed everything so what they create out of the resources they find isnt going to look amazing. becuase they are in a wasteland. Do you not understand what the fallout games are about??
@Fulgrim-gm2dg i'm not gonna keep going back and fourth, thank you for commenting your opinion. If you didn't enjoy it thats okay. I'm, sure you can find or create something that you will, Have a nice day.
love the lay out and feel of the settlement doing a playthrough of fallout at the moment and your builds are a huge inspiration to build at settlements that i normally wouldn't built at! great video keep it up!
Thank you very much and that’s awesome to hear! Glad you were able to branch out and explore a little more with the help of my video! I hope you continue to enjoy your play through and hopefully future videos as well.
You've inspired me man, this is an excellent build. When I last played I only made my own base at Red Rocket and Hangmans Alley then made a settlement for people at Sanctuary, when I next play the game likely I've Fallout 3 & New Vegas I will be tackling a hardcore playthrough but doing a lot more settlement building. Settlements on a railroad has always interested me and this look is just perfect! Awesome video :)
Thank you very much! I'm just glad so many people are getting as much joy and use out of it as i did creating it. I have plans to release a wide range of gaming type content so hopefully it isn't the only thing that sticks out but either way i always appreciate the support in helping me grow!😁
I don't know if someone said yet, but for putting pictures on walls that just don't work so well, you can either stack the pictures, sometimes anyways, or glitch a flatter wall in. The camp fire can actually be placed inside a building and works like the ground would to allow you to lift and lower things. By doing that you can then glitch the walls into the structures you have without having to remove floors or something. I'd love to see what you'd do at The Castle. Also, and I mean this with the utmost respect, if I hadn't read your bio info already, I would've wondered if you were military because of how you did this build. On that note, thank you for your service and for creating this video and awesome settlement build.
There's a few things you mentioned here that I actually haven't tried like picture stacking and the campfire one so I'll have to try those out next time if i run into those issues, thank you! I also just responded to another commenter about the castle location so I'll definitely make sure i get to that one sooner then later so for sure stick around if you're interested in that or anything else!! I also do appreciate you for the recognition, I'm sure I still give off a strong vibe at times lol but thank you! Also no need to worry about some negativity here and there, I know very well how people on the internet can be and i can guarantee a keyboard warrior won't get to me but thank you a second time for coming to my defense! Have a good one and i hope to see you around more! 😁
I never considered making oberland station into a fortified compound. I just build along the tracks but you showcased how the available space is better than a lot of other settlements. I’ll have to take some inspiration from this
I think it's the perfect size and amount of detail. I'm not big at all on the post modern glass building type settlements. It would be awesome if you uploaded this to Transfer Settlements. I'm going to look at your other ones now.
Well I’m glad you liked it and I definitely agree especially in a game where everything is supposed to look and be kinda worn and torn. I’ll look into doing that though forsure, thanks for the suggestion! I’m working on a build along video at Tenpines bluff I should have up tomorrow as well so be on the lookout if you’re interested!
Id love to see what you do with tenpines bluff, but if you could do a build video thatd be great, so many cool builders seem to gatekeep how they achieve what they do whilst still keeping it vanilla 👌🏻 cracking job by the way
Thank you for your support and I'd love to see what i can do with that, i appreciate the suggestion as well. I'm doing a couple play throughs right now but I'll definitely squeeze it in, plan something out and get it up when i can! 😁
Thank you very much! I’m glad to know I’m accomplishing the feel I’m going for with all of my builds and that people are enjoying them as much as I am building them. I’ll definitely get some ideas for the Slog and try to get something up soon! Thank you for the suggestion and your support.
Ok, first off, gotta say, love the bar bus. Spectacular innovation, mad props. Second, I gotta ask, for the bunkhouses, those aren't the prefabs, right? They look quite similar to the two, but still look like you built it from scratch.
Thank you very much I’m glad so many people liked the bar bus!! I feel like it actually makes sense and is definitely something someone would do lol. As for the bunkhouses they actually are the prefabs! But with the use of the pillar or carpet glitch you can do some cheeky placement of other walls and floors to make them still have a unique look! I’m currently working on a build along type video that I should have up tomorrow or the day after that has a few tips and tricks that I sometimes use during builds to achieve things like that. So be on the lookout if you’re interested!
Nice build great work. I wonder how you managed to get all that done with the settlement size limitation. I don't have anywhere near the amount of building on mine and I am well into the yellow with about 14 settlers. I can't really build anymore. I did have to use the gun drop and store trick to be able to build a small clinic. I understand doing that too much can have an adverse affect so just leaving it alone for now. Thanks.
Thank you very much! And yes vanilla and no mods but I do like using some “features” to my advantage lol. I also used the gun drop method but I still keep it minimal to not have overcrowding or slow the game down to the point of crashing. Being on pc with a decent system helps but I’m not sure about how much a console would like it.
Thank you for the suggestion! I'll make sure to add that one to my coming up list. I've got some other content i'll be releasing before i get to it but definitely stick around for it and im sure you won't be dissapointed!
The buses are apart of the Wasteland workshop DLC and found in the structures section under miscellaneous. As I mentioned to another commenter as well about the guard posts they are included in the Vault-Tec workshop DLC. Any items I use in my builds are apart of the vanilla game which also includes all of the official DLCs and items released by Bethesda. Same goes with the new Halloween decorations they’ve added which I’m yet to use.
Great build. I've only just gotten into building / modding settlements. How did you build stilts? Have the same issues with floating builds =( Your shops have an end counter, is that from a DLC? The barn, the toilet shacks and iron doors you have are they all from a DLC?
Well I hope you enjoy and have fun! The stilts aren’t actually stilts so if you go into the wood section under miscellaneous you’ll find the jankey looking wooding bride and that’s what I use. As for the shops it’s not any DLC but I did use the pillar/carpet glitch to get those counters just phased in there. The counters I believe are found under furniture and either in the tables or shelves section but I’m not 100% on that right now. The barn and toilets are from the Far Harbor DLC and again off the top of my head I can’t recall if the doors are dlc or not but if they are it’s included in one of the vanilla DLCs available.
Well I’m actually working on a build at Tenpines bluff right now and in the build video I include a few tips and tricks to include a brief run down of how I accomplish the look and cleanliness of the wall! I should have it up by tomorrow or the day after so if that sounds like something of use or that you’d enjoy I’d encourage you to check it out!
I may not mention it in this specific video but I play on pc so I have access to the console. I can enable god mode while building and have unlimited supplies. I do this just for the purpose of making video but that doesn’t mean you aren’t able to accomplish these builds still. I’ve made sure to keep it vanilla with no mods for that reason so anyone on any platform can do them if they please. I do use some special tips and tricks here and there though to accomplish some of the things I have. I cover a couple of them a little more in depth in my most recent build at Tenpines.
@@itssluhh556 no mods used actually! It’s apart of the vault-tec workshop like I had mentioned which is a DLC expansion that’s kind of like a part 2 to the automaton DLC. On steam it’s 5 bucks if you buy it separate or if you have GOTY or any edition that comes with all DLC you should have it.

This is great, my OS build is looking really janky, this has been a really good demonstration of what you can do in Fallout 4
For bunk alpha, you could try pillar glitching the thin walls on the inside for a better surface to put up wall decorations
Yeah that may actually work perfect! I’ll try a couple things out and see what I like and maybe upload a lil short or something as a tip.
