    I love candles 🌸 unfortunately that cute candle you show is the $25 printify premium 😳($32w/o premium) so that's a hard one to sell I would think. The other candles just have printed stickers which I don't really like.

    So, two questions for the suitcase: It shows only available in Black. Did you create the design on a white background for the front? Secondly, the file size in pixels exceeds Canva’s MAX. Did you use Illustrator or Inkscape to create the design?

    • @catsarejerks

      Prior to doing this video, my research stated $6.27 and it looks like I had this incorrect or this was changed on the website so I want to apologize for this! Shipping is currently $50 for small to my surprise and hopefully we will see this price go down in the future here as this is super high. I think you can still price this for $200 if you market as 'luxury' but it's a bummer to see this. :(

    The teddy bears are only 5 bucks shipping if you live in the Czech Republic. Most of us live in the US and it does cost $18 to ship them here. Love the idea but dont think the profit is there

    I am confused now. i am trying to start my own POD tshirt Etsy shop. I thought I did not have to pay for anything but I am finding out that now I have to have a credit card or have a Pay Pal account. I dont get it unless I have missed something

    • @toniankelly
      @toniankelly 2 года назад

      Yes, this is never really made clear in a lot of videos. My understanding is that if you integrate your POD company with your Etsy store, when someone orders, your POD immediately charge you for the item. But obviously, you won't get paid by Etsy straight away especially if you have a new account. I believe there's a 14 day delay for your first payment (this might have changed). I have had orders in my Etsy store so now, I can get payments from Etsy the day after the order. So, essentially you need to be able to pay the POD company pretty much straight away (hence the recommendation you have a credit card!). I think you can set up your POD so that you have to manually send the orders which gives you a little bit of time. Hope that helps!

  • @laurice8056

    These POD products are Amazing! Does the seller own their designs or do Amazon? This is an important question especially if the sellers want to sell their products on more than one platform or sell them on their own without using an online platform. Thanks for sharing 😊

    Hi mate, good video, i was really keen to do a suitcase but did you know the delivery to US is around $50 and to AUSTRALIA over $100! Its only $6.49 to Isle of Man.
    What a bummer that's over $200 to break even (and in US dollars, that's nearly 300 AU dollars equivalent!) Not going to be a doable profitable product unfortunately. I gave printify my feedback.

      @@itsheatherstudio yeah it's such a bummer! No need to apologise lovely, I just wanted to let you know because like you I was mega-excited to add this one to my store! The printify person I spoke with said they would give my feedback to the provider. I let them know this would be an awesome product but their shipping fee is killing it and to see if they could explore alternative avenues. I told them even $10 to $20 shipping would be doable x

    Hi Heather do you need to upload your design on a the wine tubler on a transparant background just like tshirts or not?

    • @itsheatherstudio
      @itsheatherstudio  2 года назад +1

      Yes! The background should be transparent for wine tumblrs. Suitcases you can keep the background or leave transparent(transparent will have a white background). Hopefully this helps! :)

    I do feel it’s more revenue than profit. Where do you factor the Etsy fees in?

    • @itsheatherstudio
      @itsheatherstudio  2 года назад +2

      I should have titled this better but I did mean profit. In my own store I did state at the beginning of the video I do earn $1000+/month on t-shirts after Etsy fees, tax, etc. I think it's realistic to see over 1K in profit in your business if you have a high volume listing Etsy store whether that be any of the items in this video. I've seen other Etsy stores(and Shopify) do this amount on these products but I think, in general, you can earn this with most POD products- just the difficulty can increase if it's lower profit margins. The goal of this video was to give some different product ideas so hopefully this helped those looking for different products to create!

    • @OldrichStudynka
      @OldrichStudynka 2 года назад

      @@itsheatherstudio Yes I agree it's realistic to have a profit 1k, but I'm really confused by the profit calculations on the individual items. I understand it's a bit simplistic calculation e.g. Printify premium is not factored in. Where are the Etsy fees calculated in?
      Also, do the customers pay for the shipping than?
      Like for the candle - the shipping is $7.29 on Printify so if the total cost including shipping is $18.04 - using alura calculator - the profit is $4.13 without any extra ads costs included.
      This is really confusing. Also if I don't offer free shipping I have to pay a fee for the shipping and the retail value is $32.28 as the customer pays for the shipping. Thanks!

    • @itsheatherstudio
      @itsheatherstudio  2 года назад +2

      @@OldrichStudynka I'm planning to make a video going over this in more detail of real costs and have a spreadsheet I use that I plan to share soon but yes, the customer does pay shipping for things like a candle unless you include the price of the candle to give free shipping. If the cost of the candle through Printify is $8.62 shipping is $7.29 then price is $14.62 for production(printify premium price that is). Then if I sell this for 19.99 then Etsy takes $1.3(19.99 x 0.065). So customer pays for shipping they pay 27.28(not including tax) your profit is 17.16[27.28 - (0.20~listing fee~ + 8.62 + 1.3)]. If you offer free shipping that's $9.87 profit. Hopefully this makes sense!

    Be careful selling candles, you need insurance to sell in case the person burns down their house
