Thank you for actually showing the movements from start to finish without any of that RUclipsr hyperactivity, nor talking like a used car salesman. These are actually the same exercises my singing teacher taught, but I forgot a couple of these, so this was a great help.

After hitting puberty (12M) my voice changed just like everyone else, but for me my voice became really cracked and whenever i try to shout even for less than a min i get a sore throat for the whole day. Not to mention i always speak in carcked voice which i have been called out for countless times people hate my voice and tell me to keep quite. At first i thought it was a puberty problem and would resolve itself but now i am almost 18y/o and no sign of it changing, if you could help me with this then I'll be glad.

Same. I (16F) I started noticing my voice always feeling tight and I was always hoarse. I could never shout and I always chose to be soft spoken because I voice get so easily strained. I thought maybe my voice just needed time to develop, but I was wrong. After meals, I would always have a certain dry discomfort type of pain at my throat, and I did my research. After doing this exercise I feel so much better and I now finally realize why my voice has been so strained for no reason at all. It wasn't my vocal cords, it was my throat muscles! 😅

I am doing this but just want to confirm if I am facing the same issue as you are all, I don't sing but I have to talk a lot cause of my work. I have started feeling lately too tired to speak, I feel something is strangulating me all the time. I feel the constant need to stretch my beck throat muscles to feel okay. Do u think this is for me ? Although I am doing this and feeling better, I have TMJ also btw.

So I did these massages and very quickly felt extreme dizziness, light headedness, chest tightness and palpitations. My whole body feels weak and shaky. Clearly, I massaged the carotid by mistake. Or is this normal? It feels like it has been an hour now and the worst of the symptoms are gone. But it is still coming in waves. Less severe each time. I have a lot of tension and tightness in my throat, so I want to do this right. Please help!

Before you do the massage techniques perform stretching you neck, head or all your body to relax it also don't forget to do the deep breath in and out. After all you can now do the massage

Why is it that when I sing, there seems to be some overvibration in my throat that makes the sound I make polyphonic(?), like that sound when you sing in front of an electric fan. I am also prone to voice cracks now although I dont do harmful things to my vocal cords. I don't really know what's happening in my throat but this is the first time that I've experienced this, and it's been like this for almost 3 months even though my lifestyle and everything is just the same. Is this exercise applicable to me?

    • @fauquierent

You probably have a small growth on the vocal cord. Recommend you see an ENT to get further checked out. More info: fauquierent.net/voiceupper.htm#diplo1
