How about offering affordable homes in US.
I can only imagine these homes featured are probably pricey.
Affordable is all relative. I bought a junked meth shack and refurbed it. Some others buy a cheap trailer and build your own. Options are limited if you’re trying to go cheap, but it can be done.
How about moving away from the city? Plenty of affordable housing out there, it's just everyone wants to live in the same place and that drives up prices.
How about getting an education and you can afford what you want. 🤷♂️
@@emusaurus
Where? What do you consider affordable?
When they get to 100,000 plus, IT IS NO LONGER AFFORDABLE HOUSING!
#classdismissed 👏🏾👏🏾
Have yet to find a modular home builder that isn’t going to cost 5-20% more before everything is done for equivalent stick built home. They come closest in super high cost areas like California. I think the main problem is that none of actually seem to be going for volume which is what it will take to beat stick built homes.
You are right modular homes cost more in texas than stick build I do use more volume so they can be affordable
These are all very nice. Could you please make a pre-fab home video with prices that are LOWER than stick built homes, please.
Have you seen the foldable houses from Boxabl? Pretty cool idea at a low price. Las Vegas company, I think.
ruclips.net/video/PW_s5iz947E/видео.html
@@leifcatt Boxable is still in the planning stage for production. Only prototypes have been sold, one to Elon Musk.
@@1voluntaryist So?
@@leifcatt sooooo you can’t bank on them going into full production yet. There are many companies in the planning stages with prototypes that don’t make it into fruition. Boxabl looks promising buts it’s not ok to say it’s a part of the market. It’s not.
@@calebharris4127 They have over 1,000 pre-orders. They are looking to franchise out in the USA and are in talks with 2 groups that want a franchise in Europe and Asia.
They may not be in full production at this time but they do not look to be going away at all.
Wow- nicely done with a broad section of options! I’m so glad companies are behaving with an environmentally friendly conscience! Bravo!
Enjoy that you include practical information and your edit is slower that most complied subject programs.
I ❤ your RUclips channel. I stumbled upon it tonight and am glad I did!
Having built both stick + modular 2 family homes in urban northeast NJ - it appears the modulars are holding up better then stick. (These we’re a for sale product so could be the owners maintenance habits). The overall pricing was about the same, however where modular should win cost wise is the time value. If you can get it up 25% faster with less carry costs, we put down 10% of modular costs until delivery, it’s definitely a winner. The only drama (brief) was delivering onto an urban site. Telephone utility lines had to be considered. All good overall.
Thanks for this little tid bit of info. I do not own either 😞 I wish I did though….
Hopefully with prayer, hard work z& dedication I WILL 😉
Great videos really appreciate you taking the time to put these together. Thank you
This was perfect timing. I'm going to check into these homes. Thanks
Prohome Direct has caught my eye. Great video Thank you 👊💪
I am believing there is excellent affordable housing, but one must have the resourceful information, about where it's to be found. Thank you for showing these most updated housing options. They are beautiful.
I fell in love with your channel after seeing this video of you and did a great job.
The autonomous tent sounds awesome! I will definitely look into this. Thank you for sharing! (Liked and Subscribed) 💯🎉🙏
a tent starting at $100,000 - sounds like a wonderful housing solution
Same thing I said
With zero insulation and plumbing...great
Brilliant! Thank you for providing this information.
One of the most critical issues facing housing currently has to do with climate crisis management. Given the insane heat & severe drought facing much of the USA & wildfires out of control in so many states, we need to look at recycled water systems & fireproof building materials as well as energy efficiency all around. This is absolutely imperative going forward.
Hello Susan how are you doing!!
Aircrete is fire proof!
These are absolutely amazing
These type of homes started out as a cheaper alternative to normal houses but now they’re trendy and EXPENSIVE smh
Same with manufactured homes. I looked yesterday in Spokane, $220k for a 2 bedroom double wide and 14-19 month wait. No thanks.
I have watched a lot of these pre fab videos. I think they are very pricey, especially those out on the west coast.
I love the new ideas. Needs to be easy to obtain
The people that make these abodes, reckon it can reduce construction costs, but the selling price is beyond expensive, ridiculously so.
They know you don't have a cheaper alternative.
what happens when the price goes down too much? Quality.
The last two home designs would work out amazingly in the Vegas climate ✌🏽✌🏽
I think the best thing about prefab homes is the willingness to try other structure materials, use newer technologies and push Green possibilities. The worst thing about prefab homes, is that they'll never be affordable for a wider demographic. Way too expensive currently, and as many have commented before, the prices won't come down unless they're more mass produced. Unfortunate. If there was a hybrid model that crossed both prefab/stick buildings, then I think there might be a happy medium.
the problem with San Fransisco is not the housing, it is the sliver of land priced at a million
Same in Canada 🤦🏻♀️
Tiny house is legal?
My dream is to have between a tiny home and a medium sized home. Tiny would be claustrophobic to me. I live in a one bedroom apartment that's half basement. I have two windows, one in the bedroom and one in the front. People walk by and look down into my apartment so I have to keep my curtains closed. I'm used to living in the country, now I have a strange old lady who bangs around all day and all night above me. I really want my own little place with windows I can see the mountains. I am thankful I even have a place to live considering so many do not. But I can't help how I feel.
You would love this video I just watched of a couple that built theirs!!! Holyyyy sheeeeT it was truly truly unique and AWESOME! He sard he spent probably $80000 and I could of sworn it would of been triple that!!!!
“ live big , tiny home” ( I think is the channel)
Look for a matte black/wood colored house in thumbnail with couple standing in front of it-
I’m telling ya….. this home is A DREAM THIS DUDE IS SUPER SUPER TALENTED THAT CREATED THIS 1
Great info. Thank you..
Great home's cool ideas lovely made, i like it❤👍
Very informative and interesting. Thank you.
Hello Michelle how are you doing!!
These are nice, its a great idea
These are cool. very interesting indeed. My issue is here we are trying to find affordable housing, spend less money and still the cost for a smaller home requiring less materials and labor is the same as any other home. So it seems a gimmick.
you have to also consider many of our lawmakers are landlords and landlords hold considerable political power in America at the national level all the way down to the local level. If they dont want their customers to be able to escape their grasps they can try to prevent that.
Hello Lisa how are you doing!!
Barnaminium now, next up Shedaminium, Boxaminium, Garrageminium and HOminium (for home office).
Wow. Nice !
If I had the money and finances, wow... This would be the route to take.. Prefab home, nice piece of land and live off the land off the grid
AWESOME!
What about for homelessness. Apparently traditional construction is too costly.
Can this be done where the building is standing now. We have termites in the buildings now standing. Lots of footage 150 by 90 water and power installed
Prefab homes that cost more than traditionally built homes are a waste with the exception of those wishing to build in remote locations where construction labor isn't readily available.
Loved the 3:00 prehab hoping all windows, glasses are safety glasses.
WHAT WILL MAKE 'PRE-FAB' GREAT ... IT TO BE DESIGNED TO BREAK DOWN TO FIT INSIDE SHIPPING CONTAINTER .. TO SHIP!
Oasis homes is interesting, because it can be made without machinery and with high insulation inside the wide walls.
THE BEST!!
84 lumber prefab kits seem affordable. They from tiny to 2-storie models. But I don't remember if is USA or Canadian company, I saw their website thou. Good luck everyone!
84 Lumber is based in Eighty Four, PA, USA.
How about a home for middle class ppl instead of for the ppl that can afford anything they want anyway.
OR how about housing for poor people who live on one income and deserve to have a safe living environment
I really liked #9 but missed some of the video. I'll see if it's on your website.

The housing crisis is more of land/scaling/permitting/city development issue rather than a housing production technology issue.
Basically, location, location, location...
Secondly, do we want to urbanize or keep the suburbs feel...
There are only so much space in highly valued locations and we can only build so many single family homes on that space.
We can fit more people if we build high capacity high rise apartments, but we also need public transportation for those people to get to work.
Otherwise, we we have super high population density and also a lot of cars. The logic that goes for housing goes for roads and traffic.
We can only build so much road and that road can only carry a certain amount of traffic. Either we increase the capacity of transport or we get stuck in traffic for hours.
You are actually outlining a reason for higher education in habitation, transportation, place of work, kinds of work, etc etc.....couple that with most planning having to take place at levels with far less educated politics?!? It is a wonder anything works.

It might not be the quality of the policy that is the problem.
It might be partly market dynamics and the resistance to change.
Basically a huge block of the voters will be local and holding property.
Urbanizing might mean a change of life style for them and effect their property value.
Under those conditions it is hard to imagine they will elect any officials/representative they will impose change.
Everyone overlooks the overwhelming amount of uncheckedillegals and it’s effect on the housin market. 10s of thousands come in a day. They all need a place to live. More people going after the same supply of houses. America can only build so many so fast

I sure wanted to build one of these options but the costs must continue to come down for this great technology to build homes for more people.
I'm poor, I just want to build a small box in the desert, and have the government leave me alone ffs.
I'm very curious if the Factory OS housing is built to withstand earthquakes.
WTF... oasys ADU for $300k? That’s 4x more than custom built.
Ridiculous! Paying for California CEO's extravagent lifestyle
Where do you live?? 300k will get you maybe 1500sq ft where I'm at. We're planning $180-$200/sq ft right now
How about AFFORDABLE homes.
depends on where you are i guess.
Home prices vary across the U.S. and Canada. In many areas several of the homes they listed in this video cost less than stick built homes
They should start making houses out of plastic. Disneyland did it. It's not that hard. Just add some solar panels and there you go!
Check out my latest video on building system. I featured 4 companies making plastic composite building materials.
Wow $100,000 tent call the Guinness people
I'm really into the EARTHSHIP homes
Made from Garbage but Beautiful and self sufficient
I like Earthship homes and Earthbag homes. One of these is an end goal for my home ownership.
However I am interested in aircrete, hempcrete, ICF, 3D printed and dome homes too.
I really think this is the way to go !!
The industry needs to develop a way to make load bearing beams , walls and roofing from PLASTIC ¡!!!!!
WE CANT GET RID OF IT , SO USE THAT ONE REASON FOR MAKING HOMES OUT OF PLASTIC , SPECIALLY DEVELOPED AND RECYCLED MATERIALS !!
"TWO BIRDS WITH ONE STONE"
AND COMBINATIONS OF PLASTIC AND CONCRETE OR STONE !!
i like # 6 adria homes
Would be nice if all homes were shown with price per SQ foot for easy comparison.
I agree candicane jane. I want a tiny home cuz im poor. Im talking shed. But i thought that was the point. Now they are just as expensive as big house.
RIGHT! Like WTH
Would love to live in a Morton house.
Didn't know there were so many choices
Wow
If you think houses are expensive wait until you try to buy insurance for a prefab!
Why are prefabs more expensive to insure, compared to more traditional homes?
I live in Florida, most of these houses do not comply with our hurricane building code. And even if you live in a low risk area, and you actually can get it permitted, insurance companies will kill you.
How about building underground homes with Thermonuclear energy?
Warning will be picked up by tornados and carried away by rainstorms.
Is Texas in your area of delivery?
I didn’t see much discussion on kitchen, bathroom plumbing, electrical outlets and solar panel options.
Cost no more than regular market prices...LOL...meaning we don't want to say because their just as expensive as any other house.
What are the earthquake ratings?
Define affordable.
I don’t think that tent can hold 150 mph winds. Maybe I am wrong.
from Morton's web site - "Morton offers a five-year wind load warranty with no wind velocity limit; which means if your building is damaged by wind we will fix it free of charge"....mortonbuildings.com/blog/a-building-that-stands-out-in-a-storm
Autonomous Tent is way cool, but as CandiCane Jane hinted, DROP SOME ZEROES, WILL YA?
Needs to be affordable
Want one😃
Do you make any handicap accessible homes? If not, why.
Are you in Florida as well?
Beautiful 💯✔️‼️ How can I contact these different companies?
Links are in description below the video.
how is Oasis making them more affordable if its like over 300-400k
PLEASE ADDRESS THE MYRIAD OF ZONING LAWS!
I lived just down the rd
I wouldn't mind owning a high-end Oasys or a non-timber Adria home / adu for the time being, as I grow My assets towards an ownership of an ultramodern multimillion seaside mansion with an infinity pool, bulletproff electrochromic panels / windows / terrace doors, etc.
In i
Do you export them to South America?
Hello
Sadly I can not get information or view the products without making an account.
I priced a prefab house, it was $600k just for the building
How much we are talking about ?
5:48 How did people create this shot?! This is within the Oakland airport restricted zone. My DJI drone cannot take off...
Who is selling the Land to put the house on? Because I don't have any.
8:20..... mosquitos
Very pricey than sticked houses
What's the house plan & link in the thumbnail?
It's in the video description.

@@cgstech5657 thank you 🥰
Can you constructed in india? Cost?
$100k for a tent..."affordable"...🤣😂
PLZ WE WOULD LIKE PRICES…
Thanks for this information and for a great overview. Pro-home Direct’s prices per square foot are astronomically high. They might be “no more than market prices” in San Francisco, but for the rest of the country, they are way overpriced and I don’t see why a prefab home from Pro Home Direct would be of any financial benefit, unless, of course, if you lived in San Francisco or Honolulu.
Not seeing how San Francisco or Hawaii make a difference. Once you pay for the land you're still back to comparing the home price to that of a stick-built home. Of course, this assumes that Pro-home Direct’s prices don't include the cost of land.
@@mel2000 I stated San Francisco and Hawaii because they are traditionally expensive markets to buy homes and Pro-home states that they are no more than market prices (maybe in those two markets, which are highest in the land square footage-wise). I excluded New York City, Manhattan primarily, because you’re not likely to build a home there, but a condo instead. I thought that was obvious.
As to “once you pay for the land, you’re still back to comparing the home cost of that of a stick-built home” yes, that’s also obvious, so what is your point?
Try getting something affordable
I don’t see contender home in North California
Do you work in India..New Delhi
How can a tent cost more than 100K...? Unbelievable.

Is there a company in uk that does this
Which one? The glulam homes are definitely popular in Europe. Not sure about barndominiums.
Hmmm Pros and Cons

No more than regular market prices in CA? ha ha ha ... What their not telling you is regular market prices in CA for the last house on this video (approx 100 sq ft) is 500k. I'd LOVE to own that business. Costs to build that home will be around 40k to 60k. Imagine the profit.
