I like the Silo, 4A potential homestead. It looks like there may be enuf roof to collect rain water for showering & indoor gardening. Very unique. I prefer the galvanized prefab Quonset Hut for my future off grid home. Total containment: Garage in the front, Bungalow in the rear. Ciao!

But have they solved the leaking problem with the geodesic dome? That's been the major problem with the houses from the beginning. Also, the surface/volume ratio may be good, but not all the space is necessarily usable. All our appliances, furniture, and fixtures have been designed for 90 degree angle homes, so furnishing a round house requires thinking outside the box... literally. 😉

IMO, monolithic concrete homes are the way to go.

I'm a damn genius, I'm going to get two concrete pipes and stack them together vertically and make it four stories with sipral stairs and a citadel type eagles nest/ drunken party deck on top
