  • Hanging a Tomahawk Ribeyes is one of the coolest ways to cook out there! I do this in the drum smoker I created. The steak turned out great so give it a try and let me know in the comments how it goes!!!

Got a weber, offset smoker, and pellet grill. I always go back to my weber kettle. Cool channel! Please keep the weber content going.

I would like to do a brisket or short ribs on a weber I but don't know how. Can you help me on that one?@@BBBarbecueandPits

@@brunov6111 so I would bank my unlit coals on one side of the kettle and start your fire on one end of the coals (to ensure even burn). Then I would get a water pan on the other side and fill it up. Put the top grate on and put the brisket or beef ribs over the water pan side (cool side). Then put the exhaust right above the meat. You can add a wood chunk or two on the coals for smoke. It’s actually not too hard. You are just limited by the space you have on that half of the grill so it would have to be a smaller brisket. The beef ribs should work fine I’ve done those before

Hey, nice smoker build. I built mine in the early part of the summer and it's been rolling like a champ. Got some ox tails and pork steaks going on for Christmas dinner. Hope you do more of the cooks on the drum.

Yeah the drums are good cookers and simple. I like to do everything hot and fast in them with a water pan off to one side on the lower grate to add moisture. That works great because you get some time over the coals and time over the water.

Personal preference...I don't like smoking steaks. Beef ribs, brisket, tri tip...absolutely. But there's something about the pure beef taste of a good steak that smoke covers. I guess it's just variety for me. Can't smoke everything. I do use charcoal though. Serve Tuscan style with a little fresh herbs, roasted garlic, Tuscan olive oil and a dash of aged balsamic...perfection.

Yeah I’m with you on the steak. The way I did it there gave me a great taste just using the charcoal. If I threw wood in there I think it would give it an off flavor

@@BBBarbecueandPits I did a 3" pacana and used hickory. It just reminded me of a more tender tri tip haha. The smoke covered all the nuance. Did the next one with just charcoal and it was one of the best steaks I ever had.
