I asked my viewers what their dream miniature would be, I then paid artists on Fiverr to make these dream characters in to concept art. This is the first video in a series where i make my viewers dream miniature bust. Starting with fantasy character concept art, bringing it to life in the next video with 3D sculptors and hopefully producing them and getting them painted in the future if the quality is good enough. In the end i hope to get some miniatures in the rains of Warhammer or scale model bust miniatures for my viewers, the ones they always dreamed about having.
Video have been sponsored by Fiverr.

The guy who did the Dwarf, I would love for him to do my portraits for my a boardgame I'm making. Can you please help me find him? $120 feels very reasonable
I think I found the links in this video. Hope it still works!
@@WitchDoctor87 isn't the link in the description working?
@@SquidmarMiniatures I found it thank you, I forgot to delete my comment. This video was very helpful, I think this is the guy I will hire for my game! 😄
Good job to everyone at squidmar. You have inspired me and so many others. Good job!
The Dwarf is phenomenal!
They’re all amazing, but I’m going with the Dwarf if we’re thinking about getting busts made!
The Barbarian Bard was a quick favorite. So different from the norm and a cool art style! Thanks for making these videos!
After watching the whole video now, the dwarf warrior with the mace is just incredible! Second favorite!
I get it. From puffin forest
The Barb-Barian as well
Barbarian Bard I feel is the most unique. Would totally like to see a high detailed busted of this.
That was my favorite too. I like her art style. I know a sculptor who could knock it out of the park I just don't want to speak for him.
Daaaamn, that dwarf detailed art with the mace in dragon scale armour, love it.
Ork Warlord is probably second.
Also the Bardbarian is pretty cool as a display bust.
Barbarian Bard is the best bust! I love how the artist made the lute almost as small as a Ukulele in the hands of the imposing figure! Keep up the good work, Emil!
The dwarf is my vote! Barbarian Bard second favorite.
They are all amazing, however my ranking would be:
1 - Pappa Ork & Baby
2 - Barbarian Bard
3 - Dwarf
This all the way
The dragon scale dwarf was so damn cool!
Hey guys! Feel free to write your favorites from the video. Any number of favorites is OK! Nobody wants to hear which one you disliked. Keep it positive :)

Pirolnogolongo ($50 Necromancer) - bit.ly/38iZsNP
Williamrliberto ($25 Dwarf warrior) - bit.ly/2w4bJXX
$120=$320
$320=$120.
The Dwarf and the Orc were best, mybe even together in a DIORAMA.
That orc is amazing! Makes me want to do a similar commission
My vote goes out to Dwarf from Williamrliberto, Wallok with the Female night elf, and the Orc from Anirbansaha1987. I really like these concepts and I feel like they all had a lot of character, pun intended.
@@vierwhey You'll notice that there's a line on Fiverr with the gig where they OK the use of these characters for Commercial Use. If you're referring to the Patreon, twitter, and RUclips sources - I think he took those responses as inspiration and it would be hard to pin down the individual contributors and likely not necessary. My 2 cents from a non-legal background.
Why pick, just do each in order of priority or likes. My favorite is dwarf its just amazing masterpiece of posing+details+atmosphere. But I like other too, orc and necro!!! is very detailed!
^^ this a good idea
Got to be the brilliant looking dwarf, with the orc in second place!
Barbarian Bard, Barbarian Bard, BARBARIAN BARD!
It's so unique and the expression is awesome. Second would be the Orc with the little one, amazing artwork.
Definitely the dwarf from Stefan, the details and the atmosphere tell amazing stories
Great video Emil. Really awesome stuff man. For me my favorite is definitely that Dwarf. So much life and depth in that illustration its crazy. All of them though are masterpieces! Can't wait to see which is the winner and what you do with it! :)
Thanks so much Neil! :D
They are all incredible! I would have to say that dwarf is my favorite overall, followed close by the BARDbarian
The orc is amazing... all of them are good. I love the shield in that final piece of art as well! I'm in for picking up whatever character you select.
They all look nice, especially the barbarian-bard, the female warriors, and the orc warlord, but -damn- that dwarf looks like he would be a blast to paint. Dwarf, you have my axe...er vote!
The barbarian bard would be really fun if it could be turned into a miniature, but that dwarf warrior art is just gorgeous.
Yes, I would love to see a full sculpt, not just a bust of that one.
That dwarf is really dynamic and well done so it gets my vote but honestly I'd love to see many of the others also be used for 3d models. Also I really appreciate how this concept/series is bringing up not only the process anyone could go through to outsource concept art commission to modeling to molding and production but really how it puts freelance artists in such a good light. Except for in certain groups already with the mindset, there's alot of bias against artists as being useless or unimportant and this video can really bridge a gap between tabletop/mini painters and more conventional art forms.
Well... Dwarves are love, Dwarves are life.
So i like the Warrior by Williamrliberto and the one by StefanDjuraDJ the most
They are all great, I would absolutely paint any one of them, but the standout just for being outside the norm, and yet still totally relatable is the Barbarian Bard. The character in that pose is brilliant, strength and gentility depicted in one moment. Love it.
I love the Barbarian Bard! The others are amazing but that one is so unique when it comes to the fantasy style. I love it. For that price too, dang!
All models are very nice, congrats to the artists. The dwarf in dragon scale is my favorite : the body stance and the face are very good. Armor, weapon and clothes will be nice to pain also.
Barbarian bard and orc, probably like the orc more, but the bardbarian is very cool
Love this format, great work!
Making the viewers part of the creation of the ''merch'' is quite genius and it generates way more interest than just spamming a merch-website.
Looking forward to the rest of the series!
Great video, awesome concept artwork. The necromancer is probably my favourite but the female warriors are fantastic.
There are three things I'd love to see:
1. Full models for some of these (Not just a bust). How cool would they be for RPG minis??
2. STLs available to buy. International Shipping is expensive and SLA 3D printers are getting much more common amongst hobbyists.
3. The artists getting a cut. Hot damn are some of these artists selling their work cheap, it would be great for them to get a cut of the sales of the STLs / Already printed minis.
Fantastic video, keep it up!
I would love to see the dwarf done. But legs included and nice base..
The dwarf artwork is stunning, the pose and the silhouette is so unique and full of life! Would definitely love to see that made into a full 3d sculpt.
Also really like the orc, having the baby orc on his shoulder is a really fun detail, and the dynamic of the two would make it really enjoyable to paint
Gotta love artists, these are all amazing 🤘
For me the winners are the Bard-barian, female warrior #1 and the dwarf with mace.
Although I like orcs a lot that dwarf blew me away and I absolutely liked that one the most. But every other painintg was very good too and I would have gone down trying to do something close to that level. So huge respect to all the artists, good jobs done there.
Its quite impossible to choose, but ill go with the barbarian that the girl painted, cos he looks like me haha
The orc warlord is unbelievable good, I would love to see this made. But the bard barbarian is really great too because it's something completely different and loled at the size of the instrument in these muscled arms, just a great contrast.
The dwarf with the dragonscale armour is the best
I think the Necromancer was one of the most original character designs out of the group. The Dwarf with dragon scale armour was extremely refined and had a great face and expression. I also really liked the detail in the Orc Warlord. The patterns on the axe were cool
I think the bard barbarian could be incredible cool as a bust, especially since it has so much personallity. I am also really curious to see what a sculptor could do with it.
I definitely loved the Redroka's bard barbarian and Stefandjuradj's dwarf sketches best. The bard -barian is one I'd be most interested in buying.
Such amazing art! My two favourites were the Barbarian Bard, and the Female Night Elf!
Really excited to see any of these characters sculpted though :D
I like the dwarf and the orc ! Those are very good , art styles and I think would make awesome busts to paint , thank you , love how you are including everyone in your videos .
I love the dwarf, but as a tool for the sculptor, I don't envy the job they will have guessing what is going on in all that shadow.
I love RedRoka's bardbarian. The picture has real comedy in it with the massive barbarian and the tiny lute - great style and I think she enjoyed painting it too, you can see the love and enjoyment in that image.
I also really liked the strong female warrior in greyscale. The artist made her both beautiful and realistic, powerful yet feminine - so much better choice than the silly chain mail bikinis female fantasy characters are often depicted with.
I hope my suggestion I left on the youtube community post gets a look from one of these great artists but I appreciate there were SO many good choices.
To be clear - ALL the art work was fantastic there were no bad results here - and kudos to the landscape artist doing a portrait - that took guts.
Absolutely loved the dwarf but I gotta say the Ork was my favorite, so much personality!
Definitive the Bard Barbarian. Hell yeah a lil bit of peace in the form of a wild naked warrior. Like Bubby Duke say: I want That! 😁 Second one definitive the Dwarf. Enjoy the day and thanks for your videos
That Super Detailed Dwarf is a must paint, Squidmar you know what to do. 😂
Very cool idea! Great to collaborate and give newer artists a chance. A project from start to finish will be awesome to follow! I hope you get lots of candy!
That elf archer holding a staff looks great as does the strong female warrior
I absolutely looooved the 120$, it's just so full of life and emotion, you can shape this guy's story just by taking a look at him !! Loved the barbarian cartoonish bard as well, just so whimsical and fun, would definitely end up as a fantastic addition to any bust painter ! I liked the female archer too
These artists did an amazing job. My only problem with the ork is that the artists took abit to much inspiration from World of warcraft in my opinion, looking at the gloves and the shoulders. But non or the less great job, i have actually considering getting an artist to draw my DND character now because of this video :D
The dwarf and the orc are ridicilous and I hope you make them into busts. But I have to say I really loved the Barbarian Bard, it would be so cool to see how a really talented modeller could make it into a bust keeping that art style.
I liked the viking from the end and the dwarf, pls make more than one bust 😂
I love elves and the one you picked first was indeed great... but this dwarf is like... woooooow .... jaw drop. Seriously. Dwarf is for me the best, hands down. Especially for 120$ ... AMAZING! Great vid. Fingers crossed for the project :)
The barbarian bard would be great to paint!
I know that the video is old enough that it's not a vote, but I am really impressed with the work of the artists you found!
The bardbarian and the orc+baby are the best, as concept art, imo!!.
The dwarf with the axe, it’s so simple but I love it.
I honestly liked them all, it's difficult to choose..
But for a mini, the Bard-Barian is my favourite I think. Just because you don't often see a warrior-musician combo and they always look so cool. Would be incredible to paint. And also the cartoony style is very unique
Barbarian Bard!!!! Definitely! This one is so unique and made me laugh. I really love everything about him :D Thanks for this great video!!
That dwarf...wow! The ork was amazing, especially the colors and all the detail, but there's something about that dwarf that is so dark and bad ass
Hello, i posted a comment saying you'll oversaturate it if you keep doing these videos but I deleted it because you're right, this is different lmao
These are all awesome, and great concept, this is why I love your channel. My favourites are actually right in line with yours. The orc warchief is just amazing, the dwarf with the Dragon scale armor looks great and the warrior/Paladin woman I would love to see you paint. The necromancer would be really cool just to see what you do with the lighting effects from his spell. Great work, can't wait to see where this goes!
the 280 dollars duded just photobashed pieces of other illustrations togheter
yah, you can obliviously see the dark lines of the "cut"
Gotta say my favorite is most definitely the Dwarf. Unbelievably amazing and detailed pic. Second would be the Orc. Like, holy crap, such a cool concept. Next up would be both the female warriors. Great detail and awesome poses to make a mini from and paint. The cartoonish Bard is kinda tied with the ladies, and I'm not gonna lie, I'd want that one to be as close to the artwork as possible. I don't care that it's Disney-esque, it's an amazing piece of work, and I think would probably be one of the better minis to paint. The rest of them are also awesome works, just not my personal cup of tea.
Joining the mailing list in hopes of getting the dark elf :D
That first dwarf would look awesome as a painted bust. He just has so much character.
Actually liked the Barbarian Bard the best, followed by that kick-ass Dwarf!
My two favorites are the Lich and the Bard-Barbarian. The lich would be really interesting to see painted because of the lighting effects; The Bard-Barbarian is just a big ball of fun! So big and muscular but so sensitive and expressive.
Of course I just think you should save the ork for later and then do it anyway.
The dwarf is easily the best. There are some weird things going on with the others like
Why is the elf holding the staff so high up unless she's leaning on it?
The lady holding the sword has a weird hand
The barbarian has kinda strange proportions
They're still great artwork
Only thing I didn't like about Dwarf was hardly any visible details it was all dark, it did look the best though. Everything else lacked any realism, which is what most mini painters aim for.
Anyone know if squidmar owns the art now, as well does he have proof that there's no digital backups?
Barbarian has right proportions, for the art style. There are no mistakes or flaws, it's perfect for the chosen style. Other works do have mistakes; bard, dwarf and orc do not.
The Dwarf with the mace and scale armor is my favorite, with the warlord ork close behind. Then the other dwarf. Special mention for the barbarian bard. Don't know if it would do a good miniature, but as a former role player, I love the concept, and the illustration was really good and full of joy. Thanks for the video, it was really entertaining.
Rodroka's bard barbarian is really rad, I love the whimsical nature of it! StefanDjuraDJ's dwarf would be so cool as well.
The dark elf female warrior is beautiful so was the dwarf man that one was amazing and so was the female warrior but I’m so excited to whichever one wins hopefully one of my favorites lol beautiful artwork all around
The dwarf with the rod, simply amazing. Sculpted I think it would make for an amazing bust. Look forward to seeing any of them being made! Great job to all the artists!
Man dude. A lot of great art to choose from.
I'm gonna pick 4 like you did.
1. That Detailed dwarf, bro... holy moly!
2. Big daddy orc.
3. That Necromancer Has potential.
4. Barbarian Bard. It could have been more wacky but that little lute is fun
The Dwarf with the mace! Incredible work.
My favorites are the bard barbarian - very unique!
Next would be the dwarf with the squid. That guy looks like he's done things.
Runner up is a tough choice, but I think I would go for the orc warlord & kid.
They're all great designs!
the ork is amazing i love the idea of the baby ork and stuff and love the axe it great. and the squidmar touch
The dwarf would be most fun to paint, I think, but the Orc, the Bard and the Necromancer would be all really exciting to get our hands on. Super pumped for this project, I hope this will be a constant series, like new sets of fiver commisions as soon as the sculpts are done :D
These are some incredible pieces of artwork! Choosing just one from them? Yipes! As a piece of artwork to put on my wall, I'd have to go with the Dwarf with Dragon Scale Armour, but as a piece to paint? I have to vote for the Strong Female Warrior. So many materials and textures and ways to interpret the environment she's in.
Ahhhhhh top 3 are black and white dwarf for crazy good realism in a nice characteristic pose. Bardbarian for a little more exaggerated bubbly style. And the orc with the kid because of great detail again, and also changing it up from the normal orc rager.
I love both female warriors and the Orc father! The dwarf is just an amazing piece that is happily frame and put on my wall.
The dwarf is AMAZING. The post and textures would be amazing to paint as a bust. My vote goes to that one, even though all of them look superb.
Also - if possible could you release the STL file along with the physical bust if you end up doing a commercial release. It would make it easier for those of us not staying in the US/EU zones where postage ends up being a major cost.
Bard Barbarian is my number one pick.
I really liked the ork warlord as well, but I immediately recognized it as a really close copy of an official Gromm Hellscream illustration from WoW. (That being said, if the literal inspiration given was "Gromm Hellscream, but a dad!" then the execution was spot on.)
I'm for the dwarf with white scale armor and rod of power, second place the bard barbarian - I'd love to see a bust in the disneyfied style. A really interesting painting challenge!
What a cool idea on creating a bust out of art and the use of various artists. Dwarf was awesome.
The barbarian bard and the super detailed dwarf are both amazing. All of them are good but those two are really great
My favorite is the Ork Warlord, followed by the high detail Dwarf then The necromancer, however the necromancer for me was the best value.
Amazing job to all of them.
hello Squidmar, I'm 14 and love your videos. I have learnt lots of great tips from your chanel. I have been painting since i was 12 and think I have improved the fastest since I'm watching your videos.
and i would like to thank you for making these great videos
Great idea!!!!
I really like the Ork warlord (since you asked so nicely)
And the really badass dwarf!
The female characters were really amazing too!
Keep up the amazing work :)
I love the Orc Daddy and the dwarf with white Dragon scale armour the best...I hope one of those or both get made into mini's... I'd definitely want to get one! :)
I like the dwarf with the squid the most, probably followed by that really cool barbarian warrior with the shield and long axe. Third I would pick the orc. He's just too well done not to love.
The orc and the dwarf are the best I think. Super pumped to see what the 3d modelers do with the art!
Damn! I loved the Bardbarian the detailed Dwarf then the Papa Ork in that order incredible work.
#1. Dwarf - Just incredible!
#2. Necromancer
#3. Orc w/Child
Cool project and awesome artwork all around!
i llllllove the orc. as full miniature not only a bust and the dwarf as well.... the dwarf's squid knife is awesome
The barbarian bard is my first vote, but closely followed by the Dwarf with Dragon Scale Armor. The Bard was first only because I laughed the minute I saw it with that face. The personality of that artwork is phenomenal!
I'm a sucker for a unique art style and dynamic poses. The Bard, the Lich and the Dragon Scale Dwarf get my vote.
Orc warlord, barbarian and that necromancer are my top three! Great video and huge props to all artists. Hope they get a good bit of business from this
Emil du är bäst, det är helt otroligt hur du kan komma fram till dessa bra idéer.
For that price range with that artist’s skill work, the deserve more than their rates! Fine works!
Dwarf, Orc Warlord with Baby THEN probably the Bard Barbarian... I think this list will cover different painting styles too! Ones a Disney style. The other is a hyper realistic dwarf. And The Orc is very fantasy like!
That bard barbarian is fantastic! I think a sculpt in a similar art style would be a lot of fun to paint up.
I really like the barbarian bard. Very different style. I saw both a warrior and someone quite soft and gentle...such a clash. I would buy one the moment I had spare cash.
Your channel has gotten me to pursue painting more! Good work and love your positivety!
Also.... gotta vote for the dwarf... would love that in 3D. it looks the most dynamic
