Terrific video! Loved when you said some historical photos looked like “driving trees” - you struck a very good balance- the final product is beautiful craftsmanship!
Nils, well you should be happy with the finished model: Very fine work! The dried sea grass blending is perfect; it really sets off the build. I have an old Academy kit for a StuG IV, some after-market, and hopefully it looks somewhat near this example. Well-timed my friend. Thanks for continuing to offer these videos in English, much appreciated to hear the voice of the builder, and you do it very well. I value your honesty and wit. God bless you in the New Year. Thanks again from the Arizona desert in the US.
" Less wettened " should be " slightly moistened " No such word as wettened. Please don't be offended, I love what you're doing on your channel. I do wish my German was as good as your English. Gute Arbiet.
@@steveankin2682 oh okay, I will remember it the next time, thank you🙏 all good, I am happy to learn and improve with the help of native speakers, constructive criticism is always helpful 👍
Thank you, happy to hear mein Freund😁✌️ I base painted it in a very light grey, and with medium and darker greys applied by sponge created a chipping like pattern on top of that. To finish it, some very thin glazes in greys to unify it. The rings were painted in a dark rust tone, some light rust enamels on top, some dust, and that's basically it😁 hope that was helpful🤞
You mean the brown spots of the camouflage? I actually like this strong brown, and it's even lightened up paint from the set, so it would habe been even darker if I used it straight from the bottle. I guess in the end it's a matter of taste🤌😁

The brown looks a bit too dark. Looks almost black.
