Emil is the reason i started painting miniatures, but with that being said i have to give it to Lucas. His style complimented those dwarves perfectly. Felt like some Warcraft concept art.
Don't know how you guys make a 19:30 min video feel like a 4 min video. I love your content. Both armies look amazing I vote for you both to paint on the next one!
The faces on Lukas' dwarves look amazing, and Emil's is quite colourful. I like the paint scheme on the dwarves and they were done from scratch, so I think my vote goes to Lukas.
Such a hard choice. Those dwarve heads are painted to perfection and prefer the cohesive color scheme. But Emil knocked it out of the park on what he did and that Glotkin deserves its own Diorama!
The blue great unclean one is spectacular, no doubt. But the details across lucus' army I think, especially the faces, earned him the win. Good job guys, great video. Thank you.
I’m impressed with how well you both did under the pressure of a 24 hour timeline…but I think Emil just nudged ahead as my favourite. I love the variety of colour and tones he created in his minis. Great work guys.
Absolutely fantastic video. Loved the editing, humor, and reality TV concept. I think I gotta cast my vote for Emil. Those Nurgle bois look siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick.
@@SquidmarMiniatures LMAO if only people knew the Swedish tax system. You ain’t no billionaire you’re just successful at what you love and give back with taxes :)
Emil has it by a whisker. Lukas killed it with those faces, but there is so much character popping from the children of Pappa Nurgle, it comes out on top
I would give it to Emil for this one. To me it looks like he was able to paint more of his force to a higher standard compared to Lucas, who seems to have not had enough time to push some of the models past the streaking grime stage of his process. I also like how colorful Emil’s army is.
I love the dwarves, but with the color scheme and contrast of the nurgle, Emil won me over. Especially with the sloppity boi, one of my favorite minis.
Lucas managed to actually finish the army from scatch so for me he won, although Emil had way more minis and bigger models so from the start he was doomed. I say both should do the next 24 hours challenge!
I don’t know if it’s the rough week I had, but “It’s painting like smooth ass butter.” -Sun Tsu made me laugh so hard I had to pause the video. Thanks for this fun insanity, gentlemen. Much love from Minnesota!
Lucas, I'm a sucker for nurgle but that boss was AMAZING and can imagine how the rest of the army would look with a bit more time. Sorry dude yours looked really great too.
Streaking grime responds really well to a hairdryer. You can hold it far away so that more heat is hitting the model than air and the mineral spirits will flash off
Definitely have to give it to Emil, you had way more on your plate and brought everything up to an amazing standard regardless of how many you had on your plate... Lucas did knock those faces out of the park, those are some next level painted faces for sure!! Great job to both of you guys, they all look amazing and im glad you share the journey with us all... Keep on keepin on fellas! 🤘🏼
I gotta give it to Lucas this time! Emil is the reason I got into this hobby and started painting! But it was just too many miniatures in too short a timeframe! Lucas killed it with those dwarves. Those faces were awesome!
I think the same way, can't choose one of them because there are pros and cons on both sites and both did a great job. Also it is nicer if they both have do do it ;-)
It seems like Lukas has the lead but I've gotta vote Emil! I think people have been swayed by Lukas' sneaky tactic of excellent faces and that absolutely RAD HQ he painted, but Emil clearly had more models with multiple layers and techniques used across his whole army and I'm actually shocked how much he got done in just 24hrs.
If you want to try out the Squidmar Kolinsky miniature paint brushes we use in this video you can do so following this link: www.squidmar.com/latepledge
Very excited to get myn ordered last week pin moving over to sable because of RUclips vids I haven’t tried any yet but I do have the Raphael brush you have linked on your website to tie me over till I get the squidmar ones
Nurgle has always been my favorite demon army, perhaps because when I first got into Warhammer the head of the gaming group I joined was a Nurgle player who was an incredible painter and modder.
Thats a really tough decision, Emil did and absolut amazing job the Details are amazing. Same goes for Lukas with the faces and the leader. I go with Lukas cause i like the theme kinda more and i really want to see Emil paint another one of these :)
Both armies look just amazing, but Lukas nudges ahead - great aging on the armor, and the time spent on those faces was worth it... magnificent work fellas!
I am a huge fan of both to be fair. Luca's really nailed an amazing aesthetic with his dwarves but I gotta give it to Emil, those large nurgle models were simply gorgeous and super saturated!
I was super excited to see this, because I love those 24h videos and watching your work . I would love to see you go head to head when you can both play to your strengths. I was curious what Lukas would do with all the hard and plain surfaces and I thought that the Nurgle army was right in Emils wheelhouse. Alas, the streaking grime was an unpleasant factor, so I have to hand it to Emil.
Emil FTW. Amazing color scheme, love it. Lucas as always did a great job, but painting armor against organics IMO is no competition when both painters are of an equal talent.
Your videos are like a good book, you just don’t want them to end, but when they do you can’t wait for the next one! Both armies look great but Lucas army looks more completed.
Awesome video. I’ll call this video Drying Times for Lucas. So torn between which army to choose I absolutely love the yellow of the space dwarfs however I have to give the win Emil because his plague army just had more colours and minis. Looking forward to the next video. Keep up the good work.
Lucas did such a damn good job with the Votann. I love them. What colours were used for the faces, the skin colour ? looks fantastic. Respect to both of them for the 24 hour job.
Both armies turned out awesome as hell! But if I have to choose one it has to be Lucas' Squats! Love those new models and they turned out so frikking cool!
Emil it harder with so many more models, so no surprise that Lucas is the winner here. Both outstanding paint schemes and they both win for managing to stay awake for this grind!
My daughter and I both vote for Emil. Lukas crushed it for sure (and I'm a huge dwarf fan). That said, Emil's Frazetta-inspired color and technique on the larger models was ace!
I love both your styles and paint jobs, the highlights on all of them are absoloutely amazing, I hope i can manage to get as good as you guys someday and always look forward to doing more painting. Both armies are absoloutely beatiful but I have to say just because of the faces Lukas wins here, emThe skin and detail on Emil's figures was amazing but the few models he couldnt get done let him down. I don't understand how you guys do it! Amazing!!!
Lucas did very well, but some of Emil's models, the ones that were fully painted are just a cut above, maybe even 2 cuts above. 17:50 won me over. It actually almost looks *alive* especialy around the face. My god, I knew I had a ways to go but yeesh, I don't know if I'll ever be able to be that good.
Aw man this is really really difficult to choose!! also you both are incredible and amazing how much you can paint with this high level of details! While i'm forced to choose i guess i'm giving Lucas the victory, even if by a very little photo-finish-ed margin. And not (just) because they are dwarves (1) but because it seems to me more completed on the overall while Emil's army seems to me a bit less finished. Also he failed to answer the correct number of Space Marine Legions so in the Eye of the Emperor he must atone with another 24-hour video 😀😀 (and i hope Lucas too come to help the next video) Btw you are both amazing!!
love emils nurgle army i wish mine looked as good but i have to give the win to lukas his style complimented those dwarves so good and those faces really make them pop out

Lucas absolutely killed this, even with his struggles. His style is amazing.

The faces on Lukas' dwarves look amazing, and Emil's is quite colourful. I like the paint scheme on the dwarves and they were done from scratch, so I think my vote goes to Lukas.
We need a full video tutorial on those faces from Lucas. Please!!! 🙏 Looks like a paintbrush. Actually a wand. It's magic!
Lucas killed it with the faces. Both army’s look incredible 🤟🤟 keep up the good work guys
I have to go with Lukas, the two armies are beautiful, but the faces of Lukas' army are just extremely well painted!
Thank you.

Imma go with Lucas, the new "Space dwarves" looks amazing, and with that paint job i look forward to collect them for myself.
They are both awesome armies, especially for such a short time. Even though I like the Nurgle minis more, I have to go with Lukas' neo-Squats.
I've got to give it to Lukas. The entire army looked great. Emil's individuals are fantastic, as always but it was a bit more to go.
Absolutely fantastic video. Loved the editing, humor, and reality TV concept. I think I gotta cast my vote for Emil. Those Nurgle bois look siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick.
I'm amazed hom Emil has done so much of this army in so short time !!
“Ok it’s getting really close to done”- Emil whilst swinging an incredibly painted $150 miniature around like a godless heathen
Yolo

Both of you did an unreal job in 24hrs but Lukas took the Votann to an incredible level. 🎉
Meanwhile on my 24hr painting marathon, I managed to finish... organising my paint station.
They’re both great armies for 24 hours of painting, but I’m gonna have to vote for Lukas on this one’s, those dwarves look incredible
my heart lies with nurgle but Lucas clearly outdid himself on these, gotta vote for the dwarfy bois
Lucas nailed his army! I freaking love his paint style he’s so talented!!!
Incredible marathon ,both are superb, but Emil army is my favorite,Lucas great job on the dwarves angry faces ,cheers from France
I love the dwarves, but with the color scheme and contrast of the nurgle, Emil won me over. Especially with the sloppity boi, one of my favorite minis.
Honestly I can’t choose, both of you are so good at painting it’s scary. Inspiring!
Smooth Ass Butt-ter! That inflection was perfection.
Lukas army rocks a bit more than the one of Emil. The faces maake it stand out so well, great job on the character, Lukas!
With the excellent editing and snappy pace, I could see this being the format for a Warhammer hobby oriented reality tv show.
My vote is Emil. He was painting larger models and they look amazing. Lukas did an amazing job as well.
I'm always amazed how well you've done your channel.
Lucas, I'm a sucker for nurgle but that boss was AMAZING and can imagine how the rest of the army would look with a bit more time. Sorry dude yours looked really great too.
Emil-That Gloatkin---amazing work
I would love a short of some more tips on painting these dwarf heads. Quite tricky!
the votann scheme look great, but emil's end product is just way more complete. I love the faces on the larger deamons!
I vote Emil, I think his army popped a lot more when compared to the Votann!
I would say Emil won he got a large amount of the army done. Even with having to paint more and bigger models.
Streaking grime responds really well to a hairdryer. You can hold it far away so that more heat is hitting the model than air and the mineral spirits will flash off
Definitely have to give it to Emil, you had way more on your plate and brought everything up to an amazing standard regardless of how many you had on your plate... Honestly both of you did a phenomenal job, I vote a tie
So both need to do the next 24 hour painting challenge. Right?
@@drschwandi3687 Yes I concur
I think the same way, can't choose one of them because there are pros and cons on both sites and both did a great job. Also it is nicer if they both have do do it ;-)
Emil has to get my vote, but Lucas, those Votann are competition level. With 20 min on each mini, as you said, the vote would've gone to you.
Lucas those faces just stands out so well and SM like armor is easy to make look uniform and up to standard
Lukas did a great job on those dwarf faces. And I love the variety of looks across Emils Nurgle armies. Blue demons yet still looks cohesive.

All the extra time on the faces really helped Lukas out. That was his plan all along!
Gotta give him the win.
Lucas's dwarves are very good. Using the cacti to tie in the green plasma glow was a great touch!
So hard to choose between such amazing works! i'll go for Emil, because i love his colourful take on nurgle. Thanks for the inspiration, as always
Your videos are like a good book, you just don’t want them to end, but when they do you can’t wait for the next one! Both armies look great but Lucas army looks more completed.
Amazing as always guys, what a dream team you got there!! Amazing looking Army Lucas!
Wow. Great Job. Both of you create an phantastic army. I'm with Lucas at the end...
Lucas killed it for a single reason. He was brave going Yellow heavy. Love the new squats models.
Every time I hit s painting slump, it's always your videos that make me pick up a brush again 👍👍
24 hours painting an army but with contrast paint
A toss up.. both look great.. Emil did have 2x as many to paint... so I would have to give it to him
Awesome video. I’ll call this video Drying Times for Lucas. So torn between which army to choose I absolutely love the yellow of the space dwarfs however I have to give the win Emil because his plague army just had more colours and minis.
Looking forward to the next video. Keep up the good work.
not all the minis emil painted were the same quality, but the ones that were were incredible, my point has to go to him
Lucas did such a damn good job with the Votann. I love them. What colours were used for the faces, the skin colour ? looks fantastic. Respect to both of them for the 24 hour job.
Loving all the faces Lucas painted they really made those dwarves memorable.
Lucas, never realised how much painting good faces improves the models so much - close call though
Lukas' faces take it for me, though I love all the different tones in the Nurgle army
Great job from both of you, as always... But grandfather Nurgle blesses everyone, always. So I'll go with Emil! 💪🏼
Lukas did great job, and was more finished that Emil’s nurgle army so it goes to the space dwarfs for me
Both not finished, both must paint again, maybe orks. What was finished looked wicked especially the squat faces.
Both armies turned out awesome as hell! But if I have to choose one it has to be Lucas' Squats! Love those new models and they turned out so frikking cool!
It was so cool getting a video from you all while you were doing this while I was in Vince’s class at NOVA.
Emil it harder with so many more models, so no surprise that Lucas is the winner here. Both outstanding paint schemes and they both win for managing to stay awake for this grind!
Lucas really nailed it. That yellow colour scheme is awesome
Happy elevator music playing in the background while the most horrific spawns of warp run around. A win is a win
Gotta give this one to the Squidboss, loved the nurgle jobs. The army is going to look brilliant when it's finished!
Emil that glotkin face was epic even with being added to the pile after hehe
Great job, Lucas! The yellow armour looks awesome.
24hr painting marathons/challenges are the best
Just started a nurgle daemon army. So impressed with your result Emil!!
Can you make a tutorial about the Votann heads how you paint them, with which colours etc, that would be great!
Super difficult choice as both are amazing artists and those Dwarf faces are superb, but overall will go with Emil
Lukas definitely wins here. I find painting yellow very difficult, but he's managed to make those squats look absolutely fantastic. Awesome work
My daughter and I both vote for Emil. Lukas crushed it for sure (and I'm a huge dwarf fan). That said, Emil's Frazetta-inspired color and technique on the larger models was ace!
Emil had a great paint job and I like the wide color pallet for nurgle, he wins.

Both armies are so good, Lucas new Yellow dwarf... and those faces daaaam
Emil. Good quality painting on whole army. Lucas have a few amazing looking models, but rest of the army is a few colors and high quality heads.
Emil!
Mainly because the dwarves need more work. And because I would love to see Lucas struggle a bit more and paint even more Space Dwarves models!
I’ve gotta say the Glotkin or whatever it’s called wins it for me. The face is the best I’ve seen on any mini ever
