- Oxford, The City of Dreaming Spires, is famous the world over for its University and place in history. For over 800 years, it has been a home to royalty and scholars.
Buildings in Oxford demonstrate notable examples of every English architectural period since the late Saxon period. The historic buildings make this location a popular target for film and TV crews.
Oxford has numerous tourist attractions, many belonging to the university and colleges. As well as several famous institutions, the town centre is home to Carfax Tower and the University Church of St Mary the Virgin.
With its mix of ancient and modern, there is plenty for both the tourist and resident to do.

I went to Corpus Christi college at Oxford University. I missed Oxford, greatest school on the planet, still ranks number one university in the world for 4 years in a row.

It's beautiful. I was about to go there for my graduation with my fellow students and teachers. However, the Brexit made it impossible for them to plan everything, because a lot of things weren't certain back then. And now, there's Covid and I can't go there *again* ...

Oxford is indeed a beautiful city. This is nicely filmed, but the soundtrack is appalling ( in my view, that is ) But then, I am a retired Merton College academic, so no doubt can be viewed as an old fudge !! :)

And I am a former college lecturer at Merton. Yes, this was very nicely put together, with the best street views you can find without actually going into any of the colleges. But horrible music.
