  • #oxford #4kwalking In this video we take a tour of Oxford City all the way from near the river Thames, next to Christ Church meadow, through Christ Church Cathedral over to the city center's High Street before taking a pause in a cafe near the Radcliffe Camera after looking at the Bodleian Library, Clarendon building and the iconic Bridge of Sighs. Later on we start in the south eastern part of the city center - the Magdalen Bridge. We check out the outer part of the Oxford Botanic gardens after which we make our way north west towards Oxford University. The next movie in the series will show the University Parks where we'll walk all around during a very calm hour.
    Filmed using a Sony A6600 with a 10-18mm F4 lens.
Fixed onto a Weebil-S gimbal and a Manfrotto monopod.
Sound recorded using a Zoom H2N on a monopod. Still not perfect as some clicking sound can be heard but I'm working on it.

Thanks for this amazing video, making me feel like walking on the Oxford streets as the very experience in 2016. Still remember the astonishment when I first entered this little dream city.

really lucky as a British citizen you have a beautiful city that is pleasing to the eye ... if only in Indonesia there was something like that, I'm really happy

Goodness me, It would appear that I am the first to leave a comment, surprising, as you have provided a very good and comprehensive walk around Oxford, without spending too much time in the shopping centres :) As an Oxonian of nearly four decades - undergrad/post grad, lecturer and Professor ( Medieval Studies ) now retired in New Zealand, but last in Oxford 2016. However, due to Covid 19, I now feel very much a marooned exile - so a wonderful video such as this helps maintain my Oxford connection.
Very well done indeed, a nice walking pace allowing sufficient time to look around - bravo !

Oh gosh, how I wish I saw your comment earlier. Thank you! It's made my day. More from the UK coming soon too!
      Happy New Year Mr Torleon!

I'll never get to travel the world as I'm a poor North American, but videos like yours let me "be there". I appreciate you SO much.
Ive always held a deep love and regard to ancient things. Everything. I get a feeling I can't describe when I'm looking at, walking on, touching, holding or even wearing something that at least one person from long long long long ago had also done. Makes me feel united to them despite centuries upon centuries between us.
I own a few ancient ancient coins as well as some books from the early/mid 1800s, a few single leafs from tomes of the 15-1600s and I also have an old ancient Roman Key Ring which fits me perfectly. I have boots and gloves from the Civil War Era as well.
The Key ring is my fave. Just knowing it was used and worn by its owner so so so long ago and now just worn by me occasionally (dont want the Patina to wear off!) is an experience I'll never grow out of.

      Thanks for making my day.
All the time I think about it and remember how privileged my position is to be able to do this. Voices like yours give it value and make it worth while.
I also run a spoken travel channel in case you'd like to take a look.

I wish you all the best and hope you will get to travel one day. For us it only started at the age of 39.

Shame about the scaffolding :) but that's the authentic Oxford experience, a 24/7 building site built around scenic dreamy spires and towers; olde world students...well actually young things in very modern dress dodging the tourists and deliveroo bikes....still an amazing place.
And some very good buskers, I'm told ;)
