Thank you! This channel will keep running for a while - no worries. I already have enough videos for most of next year and hope that travel resumes next summer again. Maybe I'll switch to 2 videos per week in spring but we'll see. Thanks for watching!
I love Oxford and you've brought me back to one of my favorite cities - thank you! I appreciate that you aim your camera off to the side occasionally, gaze up at the architecture, and take a peek inside some of the buildings. Most videos of this sort do not do that (they film straight ahead while walking). Your approach provides something different. Again, thank you!
As a retired Oxford academic of some forty years - now living in New Zealand ( or these days - marooned ! ) I am enjoying various walks around the city that kind people such as yourself have posted to RUclips.Whilst not nearly as good as being there, I still obtain the satisfaction of ' walking ' around this wonderful and quite unique university city.Fortunately, I am very familiar with most of the city, but perhaps, If you don`t mind me saying, the use of captions from time to time would allow those less familiar to know which colleges/ churches and historic building they were looking at. Nevertheless, very well done - a comprehensive tour that is quite inclusive of central Oxford :)
Thank you! I agree, captions would make the whole video more informative and useful. Currently I lack a bit of time and interest to type that all in as I'm working on something else. My hope is that the new project will generate some revenues so I could eventually hire someone who follows the video and creates some subtitles from following a map. We'll see. Thanks for watching!
@@eliteintelectual.9948 Academic in which field you mean ? My particular area of academic study happened to be Early Medieval History - for clarity one could say, from the departure of the Romans to the arrival of the Normans, more or less :) Modern, and recent scientific advances in a raft of disciplines are advancing our understanding of these early societies, with exciting archeological digs unearthing some tremendous finds across the whole of the British Isles - tremendous stuff indeed :)
This is the best channel, I love how he shows around, above and moves the camera so we get a look at everything. Keep up the good work. Eagerly waiting for your uploads.
Thank you very much! It was my first visit to Oxford and I'm glad I could see it last year. Interesting student and science city with lots of classical architecture
I'm happy you liked that walk. I also enjoyed Oxford. It felt special with all the universities even though I couldn't see much from the inside. I may plan a visit better another time. Cambridge as another famous university town is also coming sometime ruclips.net/video/6rALQkzTg5g/видео.html
@@poptravelorg Awesome! Also can I recommend you do an airport walk-through. like from entering to flying and then departing from the destination airport? ofcourse you can cut and edit some parts off. I watched a similar video and I loved it. I would love to see airports too.
Yes, I got an Z-Axis stabilizer as a present and will see how I can integrate it. The spring and mechanism makes some clicky sounds I have to mute somehow. As soon as new travels and videos are possible I'll use it. Until then it's older recordings. I'm trying to improve the quality always - with what the Osmo Pocket allows. Thanks for watching!
I'm not in Oxford right now. There are a few videos of Oxford with snow such as this one: ruclips.net/video/oVz0si-hsSo/видео.html You can use the search: ruclips.net/user/results?search_query=oxford+snow and may find more
Ha! My mouth? 😎I hold the camera in my hand. In fact it's a small rig with a powerbank (for extra long filming) and the Osmo Pocket + Zoom H1 mic mounted on there. I can hold that in one hand easily though more comfortably at the chest area so the perspective is a bit lower than other channels. With the other hand I hold a phone (for map), take photos or even an umbrella when it rains. Someone found me in the mirror on another video: ruclips.net/video/hYWEPDw5KSs/видео.htmlm40s
I'm OK, thanks for asking. There was a 6 month break in 2020 and 8 months of no new videos again where I kept posting previous videos from earlier. Last week I finally did a short trip to the North of Germany. Still there are enough videos to publish 2 or 3 times a week. Now, later July '21 after vaccination there is some more Germany travel is planned and I hope to get to a few countries nearby in August/September. Still I was hoping for travel further, Russia, Asia or North America which doesn't seem possible. So I'll see where I can go in Europe. All good. A 2nd channel is getting prepared as well..
Don't stop your channel is the best.

Yes, Christ Church is only open at certain hours.
How do you capture it? Do you keep the camera in your head or mouth?

Pah! It doesn’t hold a candle to Cambridge. Pah again!
Everywhere is beautiful in its own way
England 👍
you explored the city as well as the university of oxford, and I'd say you did the campus tour more than other "oxford uni campus tour" videos 😂😂😂
