💖Loved this walk! Thank you! 22:01 *Clifford's Tower* York Castle is a fortified complex in the city of York, England. It has comprised a sequence of castles, prisons, law courts and other buildings, which were built over the last nine centuries on the south side of the River Foss. 22:49 Gentleman waves you down, to ask what this place was. You answered very nicely.
Went to York with the children over the Easter holidays very busy didn't have time to look at any of the buildings really because there was that many people you had to keep an eye on all them especially in The Shambles & the surrounding areas so it's nice to watch this because I am now seeing things that I didn't see when I was actually there ?
came here yesterday on my birthday had an amazing day visited York minster also few shops went to the shambles had a nice dinner a great city love to go again
Yes, travel isn't advisable or even possible for the foreseeable future. There are enough videos (100+ currently) to post 2 times / week here until next year. We'll see how long it takes until this passes. A list of all videos is always here: ruclips.net/user/poptravelorgvideos All the best!
My pleasure! It was great visiting York and England. You can find many more videos of the UK in the playlist: ruclips.net/p/PLaxUrZNxL7WKCP68UxiJCZZIeEG3y5or4
Great walk! Especially liked the Old Town section. Do you have plans to film Durham? I mostly know these towns from the Saxon Tales by Bernard Cornwell. Great series but I'd love to get to these places and see them in person. Thanks for giving a taste of what awaits. -Henry
Thanks, Henry! I recorded some 25+ walks in the UK back in October and didn't go to Durham. I found one on RUclips: ruclips.net/video/_EDsLl4_ZVU/видео.html -- Apart from London and the already posted places that these are the places that are coming still: Edinburgh, Manchester, Chester, Oxford, Cardiff, Bath, Salisbury, Brighton and Cambridge. It will take a while to post them as I plan on posting an UK video every 3-4 weeks for the mix
i hope i can hear some voice during the video. i love this but it would be better with your voice which could describe some place or your experience . Thank you for doing this video.
I'm using emojis. On Mac you can have them with CRTL + CMD + SHIFT. You may also look at Emoji websites and copy & paste them where you want. On Windows10 the flags don't show up but the country-code - also PCs don't have the emojis often. I'll see when they show up sometime there
Currently I'm not in England. There are a few more UK videos coming over the next weeks and months. Amazing cathedral is simply amazing it's just too bad that the church back in the day wasted so much money on building these opulent Gothic amazing architectures think of what the money could have done to help the people I mean literally help the people let's say hey here's an idea when the harvests were bad the church could have give money back to the people in order that the village survived but no we've got gold and silver to mold and giant useless towers to build oh they're pretty and they're inspiring but practically useless
Thanks for the virtual walk. I used to study there. This video brings back so many good memories.
