Everything on the G2C is specifically designed for defensive conceal carry, including the trigger oddity. The re-strike capability is a plus and is some of the reason why it has the long take-up. You learn the long take-up and the wall is fine. The price point is WHY it's remarkable and has the buzz...that alone is very telling. At $200 you can get one and treat it like a hammer that owes you rent money. I've done it, my G2C hammers nails and carries like an absolute dream. I picked one up on a whim while getting more .357 rounds...best impulse purchase ever!
The trigger takes a while to break in. That catch he is complaining about will smooth out if you dry fire it about 600 times. Plus, I don't want a trigger that will fire easier if I put side pressure on it accidentally. Some people also really like the trigger, especially people with smaller hands. Hickok45 liked it a lot, except the trigger, because he has massive bear paws for hands. It has a lot of good attributes, like second strike, ability to dry fire, an excellent grip, 12+1 double stack in a subcompact, it will eat cheap ammo, the trigger reset is great, and a lifetime warranty. Mostly what I hear people don't like about it is the polymer captured spring and the sights, both of which can be upgrade for pretty cheap.
Why do people focus on the trigger and long take-up? When you're being shot at and you shoot back I really DON'T think you'll worry about that. In fact I'm betting it will not be noticeable. Yeah officer, I could've put all 13 rounds into him except for that damn long take-up.
Why do people call them budget firearms you pay for a gun would it cost regardless that's what the cost is $500 or $200 it's the cost of the gun or anything you purchase for that matter so if I buy a car because I buy a car that's $10,000 and not $20,000 it's a budget car I guess or if I buy a toaster that is $20 then I get another one is $10 it's a budget toaster get out of here I just don't understand that doesn't make any sense budget because it costs less it's what the gun is valued at they set the price and that's what the value of the gun is it's not that it has to be a budget gun ridiculous
I've got probably 1000 rounds through mine and I actually prefer it to my glock 43. In fact the trigger is much smoother. And the fact that I picked mine up for 199 it's tough to beat.
@@techman9634 never had experience with the 26. My glock is not a bad gun, and no question reliable and maybe with a new trigger and better sights I would prefer it but at that point you're comparing an $800 gun to a $200 gun so it better be superior gun. But for people wondering if a $200 gun is worth it I say hell yeah.
@@techman9634 Owned all the Glocks. To me the 26 is special. Followed by the 19. Im a Gen 3 fanboy though. The 26 over this all day for EDC then slap in 33 rounds for the night stand. I EDC the Sig 365 now that they fixed everything. Its an incredible gun! Taurus is trying to make a comeback. For me the history of the millennium platform is horrible. Im guessing now this version seems to be the king of the budget 9s. Kudos to them for cleaning house. But this is nothing more than a decent choice over a high point. Not Glock.
almost every review of the G2C ive watched says the same thing .." for the price its a really good gun" , I think that's what everyone is expected to say. personally regardless of price I think its a great gun!
I'm thinking about getting this gun in about a month my brother carry one and it's nice he has the all black one I want the gray and black one that will match my SCCY cpx2 9mm
I like your comment and agree 100%! It's a great pistol with many features and has excellent build qualities.most folks qualify their statements with, it's great... for the price. Or, it's a great budget gun. On and on. I thing it's a great pistol. Period! With this pistol, or any that I carry, but this one specifically, I can put bullets in a 5 inch circle from five yards every single time. I practice using the Gila Hayes method, 5 shots, 5 seconds, from 5 yards into a 5 inch circle. I read the book years ago and Hayes claims this is a minimum to adequately prepare for self defense. If you can't do this consistently, according to Hayes, you aren't trained well enough to defend yourself. That's not my theory but I do believe in that. It's not as easy as it sounds but once you shoot a few times, it becomes easier. The quick reset on the G2C`s trigger makes it even easier. It's a damn fine pistol no matter the price. Again your honesty is refreshing. Thanks.
Absolutely love my g2c! I definitely have more than a thousand rounds through it in the past six or seven months. I perform very very minimal maintenance on it and it has worked like a charm. When I say minimal maintenance I mean I've actually only in-depth cleaned it twice. The rest of the time I simply wipe the inside and outside down. It has graciously accepted aluminum, brass, and steel ammo. I have used hollow points to ballistic tips to FM J's from the cheapest to most expensive, and she doesn't care. I've never had any failures to feed, eject, or go into battery. I have never experienced anything that would make me question its ability to perform in the moment where my life was on the line. I have a stainless steel version which I picked up for $250. Compared to the Glock, the quality of the materials seems identical (in my opinion) . Not sure about the quality control of tolerances and clearances, but it seems to be on par with 5 and $600 guns. My thumb released for the slide was a butt kicker in the beginning but after a few hundred rounds in a day, she was almost intuitive. I have locked the slide back and dropped it several times to see if it would potentially chamber and fire around. (I did this with an empty magazine). To my extreme satisfaction, it never did. Even my glock has done it a time or two. The weight, and ergonomics makes it great for all types of carry. I am 5 foot 11, yet the trigger doesn't pose any issues. It was a little funky at first, but literally took me only two days at the range to become second nature with it. The trigger is very consistent and never surprises me. The sites made me laugh though, who puts windage and elevation on a 3 inch barrel, LOL. But after sighting it in and putting it on target at 25 yards she has remained there ever since. I have even performed several one handed cocking drills, catching the sights on my pants to chamber a round. And yet still the sites are exactly where I put them. I am consistently grouping approximately 3 inch shot groups at 25 yards, give or take. In my personal opinion, this 10-year military believes this is one outstanding and trustworthy firearm. . I'm curious to get it up closer to 2000 / 2500 rounds. Thanks for a great video brother! Keep up the good work!
Did you know that here in Brazil, Taurus CEO, Salésio Nuhs, wrote a letter to our government recommending that Brazilians be disarmed and no longer have the right to bear arms, even though the Brazilian people are almost being enslaved by a socialist dictatorship with its new ruler Lula ? And that Lula has connections with the Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro, narco criminal, with Vladimir Putin, Daniel Ortega, and several other current tyrants? Lula wants to disarm us Brazilian and Taurus collaborates with the disarmament. If you appreciate freedom, DO NOT BUY TAURUS GUNS AND AMMO FROM CBC! If you ask me why, it's the good old lobby with the new government, which buys ammunition, in addition to market control in Brazil, to prevent competitors from arriving in Brazil.
...I watched youtube videos before shopping for a budget defense pistol. So many positive reviews on the G2c. I bought a G2c for $225. and after a trip to the range am very happy with it. Out of the box it fired 100 rds perfectly. It worked as well and even better than other hand guns that I've had. Taurus has hit a bullseye with this pistol.

I’ve put about 600-700 rounds through mine also haven’t cleaned it and still not one problem. I even put a 32 round magazine in it and still had not one problem. Great gun 👍🏾
Own and carry the PT111 Millennium G2. Have done so since 2014. Thousands of rounds through this thing. Super reliable. Love it. Trigger could be better but I can shoot it accurately enough. Get one. You will love it too.
I tried this one along with several others this weekend and I’m considering it for my first purchase. The trigger play on this one was actually more appealing than what the others (an HK, a shield, and a ruger) had, and the reset just felt right and quick. It also felt really comfortable in my hand, and as far as accuracy, since I haven’t shot in three years, I felt like it was as good as any of the others I tried.
I have a G2C and LOVE IT! Both my wife and I each bought one for concealed carry. We got the 2 of them for $450 with a few boxes of ammo as well. Both of us qualify for carry with them no problem. They function great, I've shot over 1,000 rounds through mine already and its functioned like a dream every time. Trigger is definitely weird until you get used to it, but after that it functions like every other handgun I own. I was truly shocked at the actual price point for this kind of gun. It's concealable, dependable, and most importantly AFFORDABLE!! If you're thinking of getting one for concealed carry, don't think, just get it! It's definitely worth it.

As a beginning shooter, I bought the Taurus PT 111g2 because of the long pull on the first shot to be sure of my target. I also wanted a thumb safety to protect against accidental discharge. I am very happy to own this gun, and I can see the smaller size with a lower price is a no brainer for new shooters...
I personally think it has a great trigger especially at the price range short reset light trigger follow up shots are instant and thats what makes a trigger good
RUclips comments are the best place for gun reviews! I've had about 500 rounds through mine and not a single failure. My first gun was Walther pk380 and it failed to expect more times then I would ever feel comfortable carrying. G2C all the way!
@@jaysmechs2457 local guns stores are selling them at $300, which is not bad given the fact theres a lot of demand for guns at the moment and most guns stores are running out of stock.
I’ve had mine for 2 1/2 years it was my first gun purchase when I got my ccw and I have close to 10,000 rounds through it. Even though it’s not my carry gun anymore since I bought My Glock 19 I still take it to the range every time I go and put atleast 2 mags through it
I have had a few of these, from the pt111 to the g2c, and I haven't had any issues at all with these with normal use. I don't abuse my firearms (putting them in mud or throwing them against rocks and such) and the taurus g2c holds up. I have a Glock and a cz, both are in the safe and I carry the taurus because it's ergonomically better to me than the others.
I own one of these and it has been perfect. No complaints and no malfunctions with 750+ rounds through it. And the trigger is not a bother at all. Just takes a mag or two to get used to.
Great review. Appreciate it chad. This gun has been good to me and I’m grateful to have owned it before I could afford to upgrade to an m&p 2.0 compact. This is an everyman’s gun. Any working class person, man, woman, elderly, or child, or someone who wants a truck gun, beater gun, trail gun, or an edc they don’t want to worry about losing or breaking. And for the money it holds up very well. To all the gun snobs, remember this was one of the top selling guns of 2018. So every American gun owner who isn’t a tacticool or experienced or wealthy gun guy has probably considered owning one if they don’t have it already.
Great review, thanks. I've always owned taurus and to me, they have been very reliable. The price point is a huge surprise. Great conceal carry back up option.
got about 2000 rounds thru mine ,my wife has about 500 rounds thru hers ,eats anything 115 round, had about 3 failure to extract on mine ,my wifes none ,only thing I dont like is the trigger for the range, but love the trigger to conceal carry ,I recommend it
onivert I just got the newest one love it better than Glock it shoots off 3 more rounds even when we swap guns the double strike on gc2 no joke when u get used to it
Just bought a new in the box Highpoint C. They still come in cheaper and are more trustworthy than a Taurus. Highpoint still has a place. Best $100 I've spent in a while.
I just picked one up for $202 OTD. Sold my Shield to my brother because the grip was just too narrow for my hands. I like the double stack mag with 12 + 1 capacity and the thicker grip to accommodate it.
Thanks for your comments in the Taurus G2C. I have owned several Taurus G2 Series pistols since 2016 and I still own and fire all of them. All of my Taurus G2C pistols have been reliable and accurate. This is one of the best values in the firearms industry.
Love my G2c! Easily concealed, eats everything I put through it with no problem after 500+ rounds and as accurate as you can expect from a handgun of this size. I've never noticed that 1st wall you're complaining about and, judging by what you said, you wouldn't either with a proper trigger pull and control.
How can you say it doesn’t have a good trigger? It breaks at like 4# and has a super short reset. Plus it’s super accurate. I like it so much I plan on buying a second one.
Just purchased mine, after minor cleaning I put first 150 rounds without any problems Trigger will take some getting use to how ever reset was AMAZING. Felt great in the hand and I think Taurus has definitely stepped up their game . I will need to put more rounds down range First thoughts can not believe the value and quality at this price
Went for a Beretta Apx left with with a G2C, couldn't believe it felt so good, prefer the heavy duty trigger. For open carry it is a very good hand gun.
2000+ rounds through my G2C that I got for $199. Not a single miss fire, ever. Its cleaned ever 300-500 rounds and has performed perfectly. I added a drop of green neon paint to the front dot so it stands out a bit more, my eyesight is not what it used to be. Its easily concealable, 12+1 rounds, and double strike capable. The trigger is designed for home defense, so yeah theres a longer takeup but after a few hundred rounds, you wont even notice it
Trigger is ok the gun is great period - dam show better then the sccy i own two Glocks - 6 1911's - CZ 97BE - FN 5.7 - PLUS I HAVE PURCHASED 6 OF THE G2C FOR THE PERFECT SELF DEFENSE GIFTS FOR FAMILY MEMBERS - FOR THE MONEY THIS TAURUS IS THE BEST ON THE PLANET NO OTHER GUN COME CLOSE AS LOW AS $199 NEW OR $150 USED ALL DAY LONG !!!
The triggers’ spongenous is caused by the constructive measures taken to form the Second Strike Capability … so for that feature , I think it’s well worth dealing with the spongey trigger
I played with one at my LGS a few days ago and noted the exact same thing about the trigger. I found that if I depressed the trigger with the very tip of my finger rather than the flatter area I didn't have any issues with it catching. But using a larger area of my finger to depress the trigger resulted in the catch. Upon examination of the underside of the trigger mechanism with my flashlight I could see what was happening. Depressing only the center safety blade while holding the trigger still causes a little metal hook to move out of the way. But if you don't get enough force on the safety blade to move this hook before the trigger body starts moving back, the very tip of the hook catches, essentially engaging the trigger safety. But it's just barely caught and then further pressure against the trigger causes the hook to finally slip off it's catch and the whole trigger will move back easily until you reach the actual "wall". When I was using just the tip of my finger I was putting force directly on the safety blade but when I used the flatter pad of my finger I was making contact with the blade as well as the trigger itself. This allowed the trigger to begin moving backwards before the safety blade had moved enough to fully disengage. I could see how a lot of trigger cycling would cause it to wear in over time and reduce the likelihood of a catch.
My dad has the g2c and I have the g2s, we love them. I have about 500 rounds through it and it’s ran flawlessly. I put some steel sights on mine from lakeline and it’s dead on. Fit and finish is eehh but as far as functionality for 191 bucks out the door new it’s a no brainer. I pick this gun up to carry and shoot for fun before I pick up my xd mod 2 sub 9mm every time.
I have this exact pistol, have put several rounds through it, maintains accuracy, doesn’t miss a beat, love it. Forgot to mention that it comes with a lifetime warranty. I am a retired combat veteran, have been in several firefights, have handled & fired several brands of firearms, expensive & others, would not hesitate to depend on this Taurus G2C if needed. Great pistol for the price.
Love mine so far. It's all black. I've only shot 100 rounds thru it so far - 50 to practice then 50 the next day for my LTC. It has been 30 plus yrs since I've shot a handgun and all those were cylinder type guns. I'm a lefty with very small hands and I scored 232 out of 250 yay! I had No prob with the trigger.
I bought mine 9/2018 thing is flawless 4 other buddies bought there’s after shooting mine I picked mine up $195 they purchased $220-$250 12+1 The feel is flawless , the mag release is fine, fun to shoot. No jams , out of 750 rounds I just bought the bigger version Taurus TH9 17+1 lol.
I have the previous G2 model (without the "C"). I thought it looked pretty sharp, so I bought one just to play around with. It's seriously, a pretty decent little handgun. The trigger is a different, but manageable and for many people buying their first handgun, they won't notice anyway. It is a long, light trigger up to the wall, but the measured pull on mine is slightly less than any of my Glocks and considerably less than the Shield. The nice short reset makes up for it a little. Mine was $220, but they do dip below $200 now and then.

I've been carrying this gun for about a year. first concealed carry piece I've owned. I bought it the day I turned 21. I have shot around 2,500 rounds out of It with zero malfunctions, using a large variety of ammo. I feel confident carrying this weapon on my hip day in, and day out.
Anybody who owns one...The Mec-Gar Sig Sauer P226 18 round magazine fits the PT111 perfect! They also have a 15 round aftermarket clip specific to the Taurus. Just a heads up guy and gals
I was at cabelas today for the end of the word crazy gun buying marathon. And I was looking at getting a 1911, but the guy that I bought the gun from said what do you wan. I said to protect myself, and a gun that my wife can shoot, he looked at me holding the 45 1911 and said... put that back... LOl I got this, and i love it, its perfect for what it is.
Ive had mine for a couple of years. I decided to install a new fireing pin guide with a stainless steel unit -replacing the plastic version and installed the firing pin backward and would up with a dead trigger. I contacted Taurus and advised them that I caused the problem and was not expecting them to warranty it but I was sending it back for repairs. They replaced the sleeve at no cost and I had it back within 3 days. I later bought a stainless steel guide rod and spring on e-bay which lasted 30 rounds. Lesson learned -"if it aint broke dont fix it". And stay away from E-bay cheap parts. I just wish it was not so heavy.
I updated recoil spring assembly and striker guide on my G2C . What a big difference it made . The polymer is fine but I wanted the stainless steel parts . Ordered from lakeline 3 days I had my order . If you change the striker guide watch a few videos . If your not careful the 2 half clips that hold the spring in place will go flying . Great gun for the price
Over the last three decades I've owned several concealable Taurus handguns and trusted my life and the lives of others to them without a moments worry or doubt. I'm currently looking hard at a Taurus G2....But in .40S&W....For summer carry here in South Carolina while retaining my Gen 3 S&W 4053 DAO compact, also in .40S&W, for late fall and winter carry.
Why does all gun reviews always have a problem with the trigger or they want more sandpaper on their grip quit being a wimp and adjust to your gun if you don't like it get something different that same goes to all guns all guns are custom replacement parts it don't matter if a gun was a hundred bucks and it acted like a $800 gun people will still complain
You are right on the money. All the people want to cut off the crappy trigger complaints to their reviews. Too many people want to compare inexpensive guns to high priced ones.
Ive never have issues with my triggers. I have an adaptable trigger finger. There isnt a trigger in this world I cant pull. Its something I was born with. It cannot be taught. Some people really struggle with triggers...
Outlaw GT I feel the same way. Some triggers are much better than others but I haven’t found one yet I can’t shoot accurately. From Sccy cpx2 , hipoint all the way to 2.5# modded glocks. I just adapt to the firearm.
The trigger is always going to be a personal preference, unless I missed it he didnt mention it has restrike capabilities which is one reason the trigger feels "funky".
Burst purchased me one yesterday. First firearm purchase. About to go try it out now! I’ve owned guns but they were handed down to me. So I kinda feel more connected to this one! I have shot one like it before and I enjoyed the feel! I’ll comment back on this about my thoughts on it.
Was it the trigger or your shooting technique? Not bashing you, serious question. I have the PT111 and I've never experienced the problem that you mentioned.
It's him 100% you're supposed to pull the trigger straight back that's just good shooting fundamentals mine has a very soft take up then there's the wall and then it goes bang
A Taurus was my first pistol when I started buying and wish I wouldn't have sold it as I had gotten use to the trigger and really like it and the way it shot. Later i had gotten a Smith amd Wesson and got rid of it within a week and took what I got from it and finally got another Taurus then traded it as I do a lot of trading and beer hold onto any weapons I get until hear recently I had gotten a ruger .45 from my local gun shop and really liked it. So I decided to get a ruger 9mm to keep with me and a buddy seen it and of course I sold it to him. I had came across a colt 1911 and decided to get it and as I got home my neighbor came out and asked if I had a pistol I would be interested in selling and as bad as I didn't want to sale my riger .45 I gave him a price and he handed me cash right there, didn't really expect it but hey now I have more spending money on my next pistol or rifle although I did win a p89 in a raffle so I kept it.
I watch these G2C reviews for the comments, because the reviews themselves are always so begrudging you'd think they were being forced to take castor oil or something...
By the time one has put a few hundred rounds through it the trigger is no longer noticeable. This is my EDC pistol. Even in a justified shoot your pistol is going into the Evidence Locker if only temporarily. I would rather that happen to my G2C than one of my Sig’s. This is a good choice at any price point. An outstanding one for the budget CC market! -B
Got one black ,ergonomics feel great, feels better than my 19c which needs a new stippling job a little snappy but I have only put 300 rounds through it, very concealable with the right holster, Uncle Mike’s has a great appendix carry that I love, don’t regret buying it for carry or home defense
Waiting on mine from. PSA . Lots of good reviews . I’ve owned many Taurus firearms with really 0 problems . Like dogging hi-point , my 9mm I’ve put 3000+ rounds through it never cleaned it and it still pumps brass out like the first day I bought it . The problem with those are people tend to bend the mag ears while loading up the mags and you get FTF’s and some stove piping . The mag ears are delicate and will bend if loaded wrong . Anyway can’t wait to get my G2C
The trigger is just fine. New shoes need to be broken in, new pants stretch a bit, this trigger just needs 200 rounds. Fill disassembly and parts polish does wonders, and there are a couple after market triggers that make this thing a dream. Lakeline LLC has parts for it too... I'd go spend $80 and get a stainless guide rod, stainless striker sleeve, and fiber optic sights. Still under $300 for a bad@$$ gun with nice upgrades, fantastic stock stippling, only 22oz, 12+1 capacity....... Get one! You really need it. Save up $500 to get a glock or get a G2c with upgraded parts and spend $200 on range time and get good!
Got mine at 16. It was all I could afford at the time. Couldn’t complain since didn’t purchase from a dealer. Private sale, but paid 120 for it new in box. Now 18 and it’s my carry gun. Put a red dot and laser light combo on it and as good as my friends glocks. Putting money into my rifles now, but can’t go wrong with G2C.
Best bed side gun you can buy period! Very reliable and very cheap. Load it up with some good subcompact ammo like federal150 gr. hst's and put a light on the picatinny rail and you are well armed for next to nothing! And if you ever have to use it to defend yourself or your family it won't hurt so bad when the police take it for a very long time for evidence
For the price point hands-down the best gun on the market! 800+ rounds absolutely flawless I haven't even cleaned it or put any oil on it highly recommended!
I bought one of these a year ago and found that for price I paid ($199) and performance for my concealed carry needs, it is ideal. Since then I made 3 improvements to it: 1. The trigger safety extends too high out of the face of the trigger and doesn't like side loading on the trigger pull. This made it feel like the trigger is only 1-2 mm wide and it made my finger hurt in short order. The trigger is non metallic reinforced plastic and is tough as nails, so I got my Dremel tool out and ground the safety down and rounded its edges until it is only slightly above the trigger (~1 mm) when the gun fires. This spread the finger load across the face of the trigger and made it feel much more normal and comfortable to shoot. 2. If you look at the striker inside the gun, it is essentially a straight rod with a triangular projection (a catch) off of it at the rear, where the trigger assembly holds the striker against its spring until it is released when fired. That is just fine, BUT the slot that it slides in and contacts the side of the catch to guide it, was smooth on one side and a little ragged on the other, and I could feel this when pulling the trigger. I took out the striker and its spring, and with a fine file and with a few strokes on the rough edge and a couple of minutes the striker then slid smoothly in its slot. 3. The gun shot very well from the factory, but the three dot sight line has small white dots...too small for my liking. They are small indentions with white paint in them. The sight parts with the dots are plastic, so I took a small drill bit just large enough to expand the diameter of the indentions, and finger twirled it until the rear sight dots just met the top edge of the sight. I then did that to the dot on the front sight until it was about the same as on the rear sight, then filled them all with white paint. It wasn't a big change but enough to make significant help to the sight picture for my both-eyes-open shooting style. One more thing: This gun likes oil, so don't make it run dry. Good things: after two boxes of shells, it never misfired, and was very accurate.
@@Fredrick703 They said the same thing about the Springfield Armory Hellcat's trigger but I have had no issues. Fire it correctly and it will go bang every time.
The magazine release is designed that way for a reason because if you have medium size but slightly beefier hand you won’t accidentally release the magazine when your rapid firing. You can also shoot the gun right or left handed without changing one thing on this gun the magazine releases with the thumb for right hand and middle finger for left hand.
I honestly never ever had a problem with the trigger, I love the fact that I can put it in my pocket and it holds 12 rounds on the clip I think for that price it was the best decision iv ever made
My biggest complaint is the sights. They're plastic and feel cheap. But that's understandable given that they're fully adjustable and attached to a price leader gun. I've seen the front sight break, dropping the mount screw into the slide and locking it out in the process, on the first range trip. The rub is that replacement sights can cost half as much as the whole gun.
@@ksink74 Seriously. Go to Lakeline LLC .com You can and should get a stainless guide rod, stainless striker sleeve, and fiber optic sights. You'll get all of that for like $60. They also have TFO night sights. If you get those instead (along with the others) you'll be out about $120. But that STILL gives you a fully upgraded gun under $350. Take it to the next level: Galloway Precision(.com) has a trigger upgrade called the Asmund short stroke. For a whopping $20 with a full length, in-depth how to vid. Turns that trigger into sweet butter! Do it!!
Just got on few weeks ago as my first 9 mm put about 200 rounds threw it no problem great gun i use critical duty 124 grain ftx an Winchester defend 147 grain jhp
Mostly what I hear people don't like about it is the polymer captured spring and the sights, both of which can be upgrade for pretty cheap.
p trax got two of them, very happy with no complaints..wouldn’t mind having two more for the mrs.
p trax: love that line treat it like a hammer that owes you rent money. LOL!!
Why do people focus on the trigger and long take-up? When you're being shot at and you shoot back I really DON'T think you'll worry about that. In fact I'm betting it will not be noticeable. Yeah officer, I could've put all 13 rounds into him except for that damn long take-up.
Spoken like a true professional, my sentiments exactly! 🇺🇸
I don’t think that that the G2C should be called a budget gun...it’s a great value gun, and Taurus has made several improvements towards quality.
Well said!
Lifetime warranty is a plus. Not even the more expensive guns have that. Glock (cough) Sig (cough)
I think any firearm a man can get from $175-$275 is considered a budget firearm.
Il give u 500 for u can buy a new one and u get ur money bak plus profit
Explodes after 7000 rounds no thanks
Todd Turnbaugh really? I have a 43 and I love my 43... is it better than a 26 or do you not have experience with that gun? I like the 43 and 26
@@techman9634 never had experience with the 26.
Thanks.
Well said. Robert it is a great gun.
I bought a G2C because it was cheap for a home defense gun. I enjoyed shooting it so much that I am getting my LTC. Thanks for all your great reviews!
In AL, you no longer need a license after 21 to conceal carry.
Keep up the good work!

...I watched youtube videos before shopping for a budget defense pistol.

Thanks, great review, like many
Going to pick one up tomorrow!

Just picked mine up from Buds Gun Shop on a mother's day sale for $174.99, it's a great gun and a no-brainer for that price!
Wow u got it at awesome price. How has it worked you I just got mine today for 250.00

My Glock 19 I still take it to the range every time I go and put atleast 2 mags through it
I'm taking this gun in consideration, did you have any issues with yours?
This is my first firearm and I shot it for the first time last week. It's awesome
I have one and think it's a great gun have no problem with mine
7000 rounds later

Where did you purchase it from?
I've got around 600 round through my G2C and it has never failed to fire a round. Love my gun.
I bought one yesterday. I love it
Just picked mine up today can't wait to try it out! I hope it's as nice as everyone says...
I own one of these and it has been perfect. No complaints and no malfunctions with 750+ rounds through it. And the trigger is not a bother at all. Just takes a mag or two to get used to.
Sounds like the trigger forces a better human action
Also, this gun has a Rail for a light. Even the famed Glock 48, 43, and 43x don’t have those. So pretty sweet home defense gun too.
My neighbor recently bought one, and I got to say Taurus has really upped there game these last few years
Great review, thanks. I've always owned taurus and to me, they have been very reliable. The price point is a huge surprise. Great conceal carry back up option.
got about 2000 rounds thru mine ,my wife has about 500 rounds thru hers ,eats anything 115 round, had about 3 failure to extract on mine ,my wifes none ,only thing I dont like is the trigger for the range, but love the trigger to conceal carry ,I recommend it
Yeah, the pistol was designed for Joe Average, not Wally the trigger snob. 👍

Great video! This gun is an absolute steal at the price point. Can’t believe people still buy high points when these bad boys are on the shelves.
I just picked one up for $202 OTD. Sold my Shield to my brother because the grip was just too narrow for my hands. I like the double stack mag with 12 + 1 capacity and the thicker grip to accommodate it.
Git your Shield back and put on an $8 Hogue grip....it also fits the G2c very well, even if it doesn't really need it.
should have put talon grips on it
Thanks for your comments in the Taurus G2C.
Amen!

Ride the reset brother no problems with the trigger and the reset is fairly short
The trigger is designed for home defense, so yeah theres a longer takeup but after a few hundred rounds, you wont even notice it
I used a toothpick to put a small droplet of green neon nail polish on the front sight and it looks perfect.
About the same and i love mine

I love my Taurus pistols I have a G2C, G3, TCP and TX22. They have all been accurate, reliable and eats everything I feed them. Thanks for the video.

Lol I agree 😂😂😂😂. It's like they are ashamed to just say it's a Damm good gun. It's like that one friend that's ashamed to say he likes big girls.
@@MrMartin10884 but it’s not a big girl. It’s like ur friends upset that you got a girl and she’s pretty decent but they make fun of u
@@WilliamHClarkiii lol same concept. 😂😂😂

I have the g2c as my first gun. I love it
This is my first gun and I have it for over a year now and it is a good gun so far...
Never use 150 grain HST micros. One of the worst performing 9mm rounds from Federal. Very low velocity. Use 124 or 147 HST.
Same I use Hornady custom 147 grain with a olight.
Mine came with the the standard 12 double stack and the extended 17 double stack with a beige spacer to match the gun. Love this gun for my wife.
For the price point hands-down the best gun on the market! 800+ rounds absolutely flawless I haven't even cleaned it or put any oil on it highly recommended!
Check out the new G2C with the G3 trigger! Just bought one today, and the rest is really nice.
My first gun. Love it. Can’t beat the price too.
I love my 12+1 G2C, it gets the job done
Just ordered this from Gallery of Guns. Can't wait.
In my opinion if you smacked Ruger or S&W on it with slightly better fit and finish people would be in love with it.
The crazy thing is that s&w owns 45% of the company lol
You should maybe shoot the g2c more due to your poor trigger control if you're consciously aware that you pull down and to the left.
Tyler Jones exactly! He’s got some shooting problems is what that tells me.
Very true.
Yea I've never had proper training or anything but can shoot this gun great
@@Fredrick703 They said the same thing about the Springfield Armory Hellcat's trigger but I have had no issues. Fire it correctly and it will go bang every time.
Got mine 2weeks ago because of the good reviews
The magazine release is designed that way for a reason because if you have medium size but slightly beefier hand you won’t accidentally release the magazine when your rapid firing. You can also shoot the gun right or left handed without changing one thing on this gun the magazine releases with the thumb for right hand and middle finger for left hand.
I bought my G2c in January and I paid $197 dollars out the door. Great handgun!
I honestly never ever had a problem with the trigger, I love the fact that I can put it in my pocket and it holds 12 rounds on the clip I think for that price it was the best decision iv ever made
Just got one, Will be going to the gun Range.
i am going to get one of these. Thanks for the review
Now's a good time. Rebate available through 31 May. $25 off the black slide pistols, $30 off stainless.
Just bought one. I love it.
Nah. Lakeline LLC has a nice metal fiber optic sight set for about $30.
@@AOMartialArts You have my attention, sir.
@@ksink74 Seriously. Go to Lakeline LLC .com
You can and should get a stainless guide rod, stainless striker sleeve, and fiber optic sights.
Do it!!
That's Glock for you. So perfect that you will replace every single part.
Just got on few weeks ago as my first 9 mm put about 200 rounds threw it no problem great gun i use critical duty 124 grain ftx an Winchester defend 147 grain jhp
I have this pistol, in 9m,and 40cal,both no problems. Thanks
