I got my brother's G3 when he passed away. I rarely shoot it, mostly carry it on the farm... Just got my Taurus and want to break it down to clean. The slide release lever is kind of hard to depress but I'm hoping after the cleaning it will perform. The video is absolutely great.
Hey! Thanks for this video. It was really easy and smooth to follow. I’m a new gun owner (Taurus G2C) as of last year and I was super intimated to clean my gun- thinking it would be in a million pieces but it’s only four! I feel confident now about this job. Thanks a lot for making this video! Also, as a new gun owner I think my gun shop (Morrs, Lancaster, PA) suggesting this model did a great job. I got it for protection purposes
I have owned a Taurus pt111 g2 since 2017. Ran at least 500 rounds with no malfunction. Did order a stainless steel spring from Lakeland early on. And fiber optical sights
I just purchased my first pistol tonight! A G3C....I've been gravitating toward the Taurus brand since I first started looking in November.. The price, the great reviews, the good looks, the manageability...everything about it, my spirit told me it was 'my gun'. Started buying all the accessories I'd need for it as well, including a cleaning kit combo, designed for pistols and shotguns so I will use that for the CD Honcho I'm hoping to score maybe in April.....Gotta say I was intimidated by the prospect of disassembling it for cleaning but now I'm eager to receive it and take it apart and get familiar with it. Thank you so much for this video, and for simplifying the process. Subscribing !!
Thanks for the video, just inherited one of these and became a first time gun owner. This guide was crazy easy to follow along to and made the idea of breaking this thing down less daunting.
I bought a G2c a little over a year ago and went to the range a couple times and put Maybe 150 rounds through it. I then bought an AR-15 and my pistol just sat around and didn't get shot for over 6 months. I decided to take it out today and noticed it didn't want to chamber the first round from each magazine without a little assistance from me to push the slide forward. Not a huge deal but not something to forget about either. I never cleaned a pistol til now and I oiled it also. Hopefully that solves my issue. Thanks for making this much easier than I thought it would b. I was able to watch the video and u made it seem a lot less daunting. Thank you.
Bought my first Taurus G3C a few weeks ago and cleaned it for the first time following your advice. Great video, very informative and easy to understand. Thank you!!
Thank you so much for this! I recently got a G2c as a manufacturer replacement for my Millenium Pro. I had yet to clean it, so this tutorial was super simple to follow & I'm happy to see this has only 4 pieces, unlike my previous one. Saving this in my firearms folder of videos.
Love my new G3C AFTER THE SECONG MAG! First shots after a cleaning were terrible, lots of FTE’s and hang ups; possible new tight gun issue. Another DEEP CLEANING and presto, perfect shooter. I was very concerned but all issues cleared up and having a literal blast with this sweet shooter.
I was taught how to clean firearms from the time I was in grade school by my dad. The first thing I do when I get a new tool is take it apart, clean and oil the firearm. My G2C is my EDC so it gets cleaned quite a bit to keep the lint out and my other guns are always cleaned after a range trip. Those that may not make it to the range as often will be cleaned and oiled at least every three to four months. Cleaning my guns clears my mind and relaxes me. Thanks for the video.
Been rocking the old faithful, PT-111 G2 for years. Got a red dot and light and it's my bedside gun. Came across a GC3 for under $300 and couldn't pass it up. The G3 will be my EDC. Super accurate guns for such a short barrel.
Watched your video on the G3. Decided to pick one up. Thank you for not knocking people’s budgets. Things are expensive for everyone but defending your family and home is our God given and 2nd amendment right. Bro is doing the Lords work 👍🏾🙏🏾
Second time cleaning my g2c running about 500 rounds through it. So far I love it. I've talked to more experienced gun owners and they actually carry the G daily.
I bought my first handgun (Taurus G3c) a week ago, so needless to say I've never cleaned one. I was gonna ask my buddy but this video gave me confidence to do myself. Now u have a new subscriber!!!
I tend to be a tinkerer so I usually take my guns apart two or three time before I ever shoot them. I also clean them before I ever shoot them. As you said with my Taurus G3C T.O.R.O. there was a lot of grease in it when I took it apart. Good video for the new gun owners out there.
we just shot over 300 rounds this past Memorial day weekend through mine and i cant remember having a single jam or missfire on it. Loving this thing. Wife shot for the first time and shes hooked and wants a little 22rd one to start. Stoked.
Been cleaning guns since I was 12. This video is great!! I've had the G2 Millenium since it came out. I was hesitant, but I love it. My Uncle didn't believe in it til I took him to the range and let him put as many rounds as his heart desired through it. He couldn't believe it. I agree with you, other than the cheaper cleaning/oil products, any will do the job. I do use the mil spec, but more for it's cleaning ability. I wipe it down and still add a drop of Rem Oil to the friction areas. Any time I show someone how to clean their gun(s), I start and end with make sure you are being safe (then I throw in some safety details). I approach cleaning my gun like I just learned, every time, SAFELY paying attention. My table even have a safety sign on it. GREAT VIDEO!! Stay safe!!
@@TacticalConsiderations Yes Sir. I promise, this is video is nothing short of it being in-person. I'm subscribing and sending people here to watch this.
Have had the G2C for a few years now. Really like it. Let my daughter use it for her first time. She did really well with it. Also have the G 3 had a jamming issue with Federal ammo. Haven't shot much since ammo is coming back will start shooting again and see.
My G3 had a problem when I first got it with hollow points. I polished the feed ramp to a mirror finish with a dremel and some compound, and it started feeding any and every hollow point I threw at it. Steel Case, Aluminum, even Remanufactured cheap stuff. It eats everything and spits it out.
Already knew how to clean mine, but I still enjoyed your video. Very articulate and easy to follow. Great job ! 👍🙂 Haven't been able to get very many rounds through my G3 ( ammo $ and availability) but really like it so far. Cycles well, feels good in hand and is attractive IMHO.
Very informative, thank you. I'll save this to my favorites for later use. I'll be getting mine around the 18th. I take it the magazines aren't that important to clean? I've seen a few videos and no one really mentions them. I guess it's just a quick clean and they're done.
I'm a new gun owner and I buying a lot of them. I was able to clean my Taurus G3C for the first time or any gun for the first time thanks for this video I just want to say thank you so much and I'm subscribing
Went to the range yesterday & shot about 150 rounds out of it. Then today I went to a gun store to buy a cleaning kit and some oil. Man the guys in there were so helpful & showed me how easy it was to take it apart. I came to your page for reassurance on making sure I was doing it right. Thank you so much. Much love from Arizona 🤙🏻
once a month or 250 rounds or after every competition shoot for me. i don't shoot as often since work stuff. and yes we do funshoot competitions with all taurus g3 users so it's going to be up to the individual shooter hahaha. love these cheap but quality guns.

Just got my G3 about 3 days ago. Fired 60 rounds yesterday, I love the gun but I need to clean it. Jammed atleast 5 times. Thanks for this I know it will be much more fun after a good clean
Got 1 the G2C yesterday. I was told to oil it b4 using. Your video was great kind hard @ 1st to get top piece off. Watched & reminded so many times. Thank you
Really helpful! Had my G3C for about two years about a thousand rounds through the firearm now hard some issues with its slide jamming but just needed to lubricants and maintenance thanks to your video’s
I appreciate the video. I had to keep rewinding it but was able to take apart, clean and put back together. New to this stuff and I'm pretty sure the gun shop I paid to do it didn't do it. So happy I did a basic job today and will get more comfortable with it. Appreciate it!
Purchased one in July o 2020 have had no problems at all with this weapon only up grades I've done was put a stainless steel spring and rod in and polished the feed ramp anybody looking for their first purchase (new gun owner) definitely recommend
I need to polish the ramp on mine just to see if it cleans up loading HP ammo. I did notice it feels a bit sluggish when the slide goes forward loading hollow points.
Just bought my G3C luv’n it, home defense ammo runs thru mine flawlessly.. so much easier than my kimbers to clean. Thks for video for my first cleaning.
Definitely appreciate the run through on this. always good to see someone who is familiar with that particular setup run through it before doing it yourself. So thank you.
I'm getting ready to sell my G2C to upgrade to a better quality concealed carry gun, & this video is hugely helpful! I do basic cleaning every post range day, so its well taken care of. I don't expect to get a lot for it, but this little extra TLC might get me a tad more $, but more importantly will make sure its next owner has a strong & well functioning used firearm as i can get it.
@@TacticalConsiderations Dude, I've ran COUNTLESS shells through it and it's never jammed. Not once. And this is coming from a guy that one's a Glock17, M&P9mm, Kimber micro9, and a CZ83. My Taurus G3 compact has held up just as well. I'm very impressed.

glad you got it cleaned out.. These come out of the factory a little dirtier than others but once you clean and lube them up a bit they really feel better.

I just purchase mine several months ago. Best move I made. It handles great for the price. It shoots well and the recoil is not bad. Love cleaning it to. Very relaxing...... My next firearm will be the HK- VP9.
Just picked up a G3, the reason for lubricant on the outside of the slide is to protect it. You don't have to do it with any firearm but you can. I have a swamp cooler so it helps with the humidity exposure to use some lube on the outside to prevent corrosion.
Thank you sooooooo much I have acquired the G2c, no time to hit range yet but for when I need to this video will be my go to. And I'm adding to a g2c play list I have.

I tend to be a tinkerer so I usually take my guns apart two or three time before I ever shoot them. I also clean them before I ever shoot them. As you said with my Taurus G3C T.O.R.O. there was a lot of grease in it when I took it apart. Good video for the new gun owners out there.
Best to clean and lube a few good time like you said.
I love my G2C! It's accurate for a small pistol. I like how light and compact it is, makes carrying much easier.
Glad you are happy with your G2C. They have been good pistols to me.
we just shot over 300 rounds this past Memorial day weekend through mine and i cant remember having a single jam or missfire on it. Loving this thing. Wife shot for the first time and shes hooked and wants a little 22rd one to start. Stoked.
Glad you enjoyed it on a good old American Holiday.
I love my G3C. In my opinion, it's not only one of the best handguns in the $300 range, it holds its own even if you put it in the $700 range.
Its a very solid set up for sure.
Stay safe!!
Thanks for watching this. Many have never had the opportunity for good in person instruction on cleaning and safety . Those of us that have are lucky.
@@TacticalConsiderations Yes Sir. I promise, this is video is nothing short of it being in-person. I'm subscribing and sending people here to watch this.
First time cleaning my g3c, I’m a year late but man this video was perfect. Very clean shots of everything and amazing walk through. Very appreciated
Happy to help
Have had the G2C for a few years now. Really like it. Let my daughter use it for her first time. She did really well with it. Also have the G 3 had a jamming issue with Federal ammo. Haven't shot much since ammo is coming back will start shooting again and see.
Interesting that federal jammed in the G3 usually it eats that up.
Great job ! 👍🙂
Haven't been able to get very many rounds through my G3 ( ammo $ and availability) but really like it so far.
Cycles well, feels good in hand and is attractive IMHO.
Chris you are a gentleman and a scholar.
You might be the only one who thinks so....😉
But I'll take the compliment !
I just put the first 100 rounds through my new Taurus G3. Your video is invaluable! Thanks so much!
Happy to help.
Very informative, thank you. I'll save this to my favorites for later use. I'll be getting mine around the 18th.
I take it the magazines aren't that important to clean? I've seen a few videos and no one really mentions them. I guess it's just a quick clean and they're done.
Thanks for watching. Besides making sure the follower is clean, unless your in really dusty dirt conditions taking the mag apart is a rare need.
I'm a new gun owner and I buying a lot of them. I was able to clean my Taurus G3C for the first time or any gun for the first time thanks for this video I just want to say thank you so much and I'm subscribing
Happy to help.
Thank you!!!
You're welcome!
Thanks for watching great that the store was so helpful.
what is your cleaning round count? I am generally a 500 or once a month kinda person.
Patreon ►bit.ly/2JTBCBj
once a month or 250 rounds or after every competition shoot for me. i don't shoot as often since work stuff. and yes we do funshoot competitions with all taurus g3 users so it's going to be up to the individual shooter hahaha. love these cheap but quality guns.
Around the same full metal jacket
I wait until I can’t rack the slide anymore.
Lol slide stuck = clean
I've got 6 of the 12 rnd mags so once I empty them 4 times = 288 rounds, it's on the bench for cleaning/inspection. Again, great tool for the money.
Just recently got a g3c 40 havnt been able to go to the range yet. I needed to clean it and this video definitely made it easier for a first time clean.
Glad it helped
Very helpful video as a new gun owner. Really like the G3C and was nervous about taking it apart but you made it very easy.
Happy to have helped.
Just picked up a g2c. My first firearm. Thanks for this video!
Not bad at all got a chance to play with the GX4 was actually really surprised
Just got my G3 about 3 days ago. Fired 60 rounds yesterday, I love the gun but I need to clean it. Jammed atleast 5 times. Thanks for this I know it will be much more fun after a good clean
thanks for watching and commenting
Got 1 the G2C yesterday. I was told to oil it b4 using. Your video was great kind hard @ 1st to get top piece off. Watched & reminded so many times. Thank you
Happy to help
So just bought my first pistol it was a g2c and the way you disasibled it was wayyyy easier and this video helped alot thanks bruda
Happy to have helped.
Really helpful! Had my G3C for about two years about a thousand rounds through the firearm now hard some issues with its slide jamming but just needed to lubricants and maintenance thanks to your video’s
Nice glad you appreciated the video.
Jus got my first gun not to long ago (a g3c). Thanks for the informative and thorough walk through, it helps alot.
Thanks for watching.
I appreciate the video. I had to keep rewinding it but was able to take apart, clean and put back together. New to this stuff and I'm pretty sure the gun shop I paid to do it didn't do it. So happy I did a basic job today and will get more comfortable with it. Appreciate it!
Happy to have helped
Purchased one in July o 2020 have had no problems at all with this weapon only up grades I've done was put a stainless steel spring and rod in and polished the feed ramp anybody looking for their first purchase (new gun owner) definitely recommend
I need to polish the ramp on mine just to see if it cleans up loading HP ammo. I did notice it feels a bit sluggish when the slide goes forward loading hollow points.
Yeah that's not normal. 1000 grit and a polish wheel
Just bought my G3C luv’n it, home defense ammo runs thru mine flawlessly.. so much easier than my kimbers to clean. Thks for video for my first cleaning.
Awesome glad its working our for you and running well.
Definitely appreciate the run through on this. always good to see someone who is familiar with that particular setup run through it before doing it yourself. So thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
I have had the G2C for 8 years and just got the G3C today and put 100 rpunds through ot. Loving this gun!
I think taurus did a great job woth these weapons! Keeping the price down too! I love these for my bedsode and vehicle
Glad you are enjoying it.
I'm getting ready to sell my G2C to upgrade to a better quality concealed carry gun, & this video is hugely helpful! I do basic cleaning every post range day, so its well taken care of.
I don't expect to get a lot for it, but this little extra TLC might get me a tad more $, but more importantly will make sure its next owner has a strong & well functioning used firearm as i can get it.
mine have been solid.
I will be saving this video to my favorites. I'm picking up a G2C later this week.
Hope you enjoy it.
I am so happy to have the G3C. I polished the barrel chamber & ramp to mirror. Changed sights. I love this gun. Its much lighter than my 1911.
Its been a solid pistol for sure.
Fire. Jus picked up a g3c got everything I needed jus needa get cleaning/maintenance stuff. This video helped a lot
Awesome, glad I could help!
I love mine! This is by far the best "cheap" handgun I've ever owned.
Its been a solid pistol.
Got a subscription from me, just recently became a first time gun owner because my state allows 18+ to open and conceal carry. This helped me clean my G2C thoroughly despite not having much experience in handgun cleaning.
Glad I was able to help you with cleaning.
@@TacticalConsiderations yes sir made it a breeze, thanks for the video and reply brother.
I own a G3C with four 17 rnd magazines and a Olight and a night site and a GX4 with three 13 round magazines and a night sight and I am very happy with both.
glad you are happy with them .I have been happy with mine.
This video was very helpful! First time cleaning my G2.went very well, gave me the confidence to clean my gun properly. And make sure it functions the way it is suppose to! Thank you so much!!
Much appreciated.
Lubricated my Taurus 3GC out of the box following this tutorial. It had very little lubricant if any. Went to the range perfect! Thank You
Glad you had a good range experience and took it seriously .
It was my first time firing a gun was very fortunate to have a good friend with me. Thank You!
I got me a cheap kit happened to buy that same cleaner and oil at walmart. Nice video my 3gc I've spent a thousand rounds through no malfunctions can't. It's Staples
thanks for watching and commenting
Great vid, thanks! Had my G3C for a few months and it's been great. Recoil isn't even that bad. I like it.
glad you like it.
Just cleaned my g3c for the first time while watching your video. It was the first time I cleaned a firearm ever! Really appreciate the video.
glad you got it cleaned out.. These come out of the factory a little dirtier than others but once you clean and lube them up a bit they really feel better.
Loved the video. Buying a G3C this weekend and this helped a lot. Putting it in my save for later videos
Hop you enjoy.
I bought my g3c because it felt best in my hand and is reliable.
I've put almost 300 rounds through it without a single failure. So far I am super happy with it.
Glad to hear it.
I just want to say your channel is one of the best I have seen, you're also a humble man that answers all questions, I really appreciate it thank you brother!!!
I appreciate that!
Thanks for the review. Ready now for winter carry. I do like my G2C. Very reliable. Stainless rod and polished the feed ramp.
Nice glad its working for you.
Thanks! The Taurus G3C is my first gun, I love it. This video made the first cleaning super easy.
Happy it helped you out.
Love my G3. Had it for a couple of years now. I always watch these videos to keep everything fresh since I don’t shoot too often or clean since it ain’t shot.
Even dry firing will help keep ya fresh man.
@@TacticalConsiderations I’ll try dry firing. What’s the technique ? Sorry pretty new to firearms. Any targets or just basic dry fire?
I just purchase mine several months ago. Best move I made. It handles great for the price. It shoots well and the recoil is not bad. Love cleaning it to. Very relaxing...... My next firearm will be the HK- VP9.
The feel of the HK grip will ruin you lol.
Just picked up a G3, the reason for lubricant on the outside of the slide is to protect it. You don't have to do it with any firearm but you can. I have a swamp cooler so it helps with the humidity exposure to use some lube on the outside to prevent corrosion.
Yes but most modern coating when properly applied don't need it.
Just picked up the G3c. Love it so far. Gun, holster, and 100 rds out the dor for $321.
Glad you like it.
Thanks dude. I love my G3c. I was laughed at for a sec but. Accurate not one issue. I think I may have just got that perfect one in a couple hundred
First time seeing your tutorial and I may say you are a good teacher got my gun all the way together thanks a lot much appreciated 💯
thanks for watching and commenting
Thanks for the video I Put 250 rounds though didn't feel comfortable cleaning it until watching this video love my g3c. It does great with reloads
Great to hear! This is what is satisfying about making videos like this knowing that they help people out in some small way.
Thank you sooooooo much I have acquired the G2c, no time to hit range yet but for when I need to this video will be my go to. And I'm adding to a g2c play list I have.
Great ! I hope you have a great range trip.
Thank you for showing me your style how to breakdown . It was what I needed for mine it work well. Nothing at all in the manual to do both side and grab it the exact way you are showing ..thanks..
Happy it helped.
I've had great luck with Taurus.....have G3, G3C, TX22 and GX4. All have been reliable 👍
I have had an overall good experience with them.
I LOVE YOU! As a first time gun owner you made this tutorial so easy to follow, so thank you!
No problem.
Ordered my g3c couple days ago. Watching videos out of excitement haha, good tutorial thank you.
I just had all mine out today .. solid pistols at a solid price.
us marine here, as a rifle expert I can break down and clean a M16A2 service rifle but the G3C is my first ever hand gun so your video helped. Thank you!
Glad it helped.
