Thanks for this easy to follow video. I just picked up this Taurus and I have never owned a glock style action before. I got everything I needed very quickly!
Thanks for this! It’s my first time cleaning my Taurus as well. I love how made everything look so simple while emphasizing safety and “the process”. Going to check your videos to see how to do a rifle. Got my eye on the Hi-Point 9mm rifle at the moment 👍🏿
When I insert my cloth to clean the barrel I always insert slowly, while at the same time slowly turning the rod for better cleaning. I do the same thing with barrels that have grooves in them. 😇
Yo bro I appreciate you trying to explain how to take it apart I have had my g2c for a nice minute it's easier way to do that. If you want to see a video I can upload a video and I really don't comment on people's stuff I just read what y'all say but what you did is the hard way it's a better way to do that only thing you got to do is just go ahead and when you rock it back put your slide catch on and leave it like it's open take your two fingers and pull them two tabs down and unrack is it going to drop right there like it's sitting and then just pull the trigger and it will drop off you holding it don't do nothing that's just a waste of time but always make sure like you just did your weapon is clear
I do this for novice gun owners. The way I showed it in the video is pretty standard for a lot of pistols. Most pistols won't allow you to lock the slide back and then pull the slide release tabs down. But if it works for you, by all means, go ahead and do it. I've actually gotten away from showing to pull the trigger to release the slide, as shown in my newer videos. I've seen too many short videos of people not clearing their firearm before taking it apart and then shooting themselves or someone else.
How much oil i have a g2c tried to oil the glide grooves and could only get it ontop on the glide and as far as the solvent is soraying everywhere gonna hurt anything
I use a little rag just for oil. You could put a drop on a Qtip to get into the groves of the slide, but if you oiled the frame the way I did, you don't have to worry about it. No, over spraying will not hurt any thing. Just make sure you wipe it all completely off. It can attract dust, dirt, and debris.
Followed along and had no problem. 1st time too! Thank you

I've upgraded to using a jag since this video. Using the correct size it will twist with the rifling for you. Gets cleaned out a lot quicker

what solvent are you using to breakdown the carbon?
I use Shooter Lube
You can also use simple green to clean
I wouldn't use simple green. They have better solvents for cleaning guns

Just that small dab of oil is enough?
Yes, just enough oil to make it look wet.
My goodness with all of that bore scrubbing you are going to wear out the rifling !!
Not quite, but you can have fun trying!
Good video for a 1st gun owner; However, as my minister friend say's; Like Jesus or God would ever own a gun JM.
Thank you! But since we are not Jesus or God, we must use anything we can to protect ourselves, or families, our friends.
