I own multiple carry guns. Most cost 2 or even 3 times as much as my G3c and I carry the G3c everyday . Been extremely reliable and very dam comfortable. I put a fiber optic front sight and upgraded trigger and I love it. Almost 1000 rounds with 0 malfunctions and it eats every type of ammo u feed it. Plus it shoots like a bigger gun as far as recoil goes. I'm also left handed so the safety doesn't get in my way. Definitely would recommend this gun
I have a M&P Shield 40c but was looking at the Sig Sauer P238 as a daily CCW... apparently they discontinued it in favor of manufacturing the P365. I don't recall how the G3c came on my radar but all the reviews and videos I watch on it leaves me more and more impressed, especially for the price value! I currently have my eye on the one with the stainless steel slide.
I'm a Big S&W Shield guy, However when the G3C came out I bought one as my brother was always loving on his G2C. Come to find out, I love the G3C great shooter comfy in hand and eats everything I feed it. Great gun and I enjoy it. Carry it everyday!
Glad to hear how much your enjoying the G3C handgun! I just purchased one and found out by watching multiple reviews that it should come with 3 clips. When I opened my box it only had 2. 😢 I'll have to call my retailer about that. Can't wait to take it to the range!!!
FINALLY, someone else who LIKES the safety! It's SO easy to take it off safe when drawing, and I won't shoot my own leg if I'm too excited in an emergency situation.
The reason I don't like the safety is because none of my other carry guns have one and I don't feel like retraining. I got a G3C for a spare glove compartment gun and it's a pretty good little pistol but I wish I waited for the new model without the safety.
No joke. I've been using a G2C for a while and just actually got rid of my Beretta px4 for a G3C toro + some money and as much as I loved my px4 I think I'm way happier with this and the safety switch it's effortless to flip even with my small hands. Also it means I get to keep my old g2 c inside my MCK kit.
Thank you very much for this well detailed review! Getting my first gun in the next few days and I've been eyeing this one for some time. This will be my first gun ever.
I've had a PT111 G2 for years. Hundreds of rounds down range. I now have the G3C and GX4 as well. Taurus has really stepped up their game. I would definitely trust my life with these. Don't hesitate to get a PT111 G2, G2C, G3C or the GX4. The rest I can't speak to because I don't own them.
@@j.r.5282 I personally like the G3c or the GX4. I'd go with the GX4 for concealed carry but I'd strongly recommend you go to a range and rent one before you buy anything. I made that mistake twice with two handguns. I bought them and hated them. I was stupid and let them get me with the marketing and the hype and what people told me. A very costly mistake. I sold them and took a pretty big loss. Ya really gotta get it in your hands and send some rounds down range. It may look good on paper but you might hate it when you get a hold of it.
This is my first striker fired pistol. Got it because of all reviews I saw and very few negatives. Kept waiting for it to jam and practice clearing it. Only bought 200 rounds and no problem. Might never get practice clearing a jam but I’m ok with that. I would recommend this gun hands down and it’s so much cheaper than a revolver.
I bought a G3c back in the spring and really like the pistol. It gets shot a lot more than my others. I have three Taurus pistols now and never an issue with any of them.
Had the g2c, 1000 rounds no issues, gave to my youngest daughter, the g3c has a bit better trigger, 3 mags, but they removed the adjustable rear sight, still a great budget handgun though.

I am blessed in winning gun raffles, 6 so far. I won a GX4 and gave it to my wife for self protection when I'm away, then I won a $400 gift certificate to a local gun shop. I decided to add the G3C to my safe. Good shooter, although was shooting to the left. I drift adjusted the rear sight to fix that. Ran 100 rounds with no FTF/FTE. I am alternating this with my Glock 43x as my EDC. I now have 4 Taurus handguns including this one and a .357 mag revolver. Taurus has stepped up their game in quality and you can't beat the price.

I bought the G3c last May in FDE with black slide. Sold my G26 and put the leftover funds on an AR build! :) This pistol is my EDC. It has the Taurus 15 rd mag with Taurus sleeve. Makes a nice concealed carry, even for a fat guy. :) It fits my hand perfectly and it's a good shooter (500+rds).
I have 3 Taurus pistols the G2C, G3 and the TX22. All are very reliable, accurate and eat everything I feed them. My G2C is my EDC and I find it very comfortable as an IWB carry. The G3 has a slightly better trigger but I don't have any problem with the G2C trigger. The TX 22 has the best trigger of the three and it is a great range toy. Great review 👍.
@@dfc112310 I paid full MSRP $349.99 but I think it was worth it and I wanted it, had the money so I got it. It was hard to find at the time but I think you may be able to find it for about $250 to $300 now.
Ive had a few 9mm CC , having run into to some hard times, divorce, economy crash, lay off, I had to sell to eat. At the earliest time I bought a cheap Ruger then a Glock 9mm. But I was in a gun shop and seen a Taurus G2C . I had to have it at the prices of $249, It was a very good looking pistol, A little blocky , but something about it appeared very tactical. I bought it and was very pleased with the feel and the reliability. It just felt more solid. I have slender hands and it fit my hand like a glove. I carried my G2C everyday because it was incredibly reliable, the only thing that bugged me was the paint, bluing. It wasnt very durable, it scratched up, made the pistol appear really tattered and it was usually just my city personal CC, never really was out in the environment. I had seen a new model G3C, they had improved the finish, a few little things, yet it all stayed pretty much the same. Well I moved to the woods, homesteading, prepping and this pistol has been on my 1980s military issue gun belt and LBE, had the crap beat out of it, but the finish still looks pretty good when it is all cleaned up, lubricated ready to lock cock and rock. Some may laugh or sneer, but this firearm was made in Brazil, with Jungle use in mind of the gun engineer, When all else fails, you spent your rounds and the criminal still comes at you, you have a tactical advantage, this G3C is still heavy enough to beat the ever living crap out of your assailant and still go on to shoot it. Ive fired it in the down pour rain of a rain forest, no issues, Ive fired it in freezing snow no issues, Ive hiked through heavy dense woods areas getting it beat up, no issues. Its been punished yet it still fires great like out of the box. SO I believe a title of Utility 9mm is well deserved ,not just a Saturday Special. Ive seen videos of gun nuts, who seemed to have a revelation, they were at first skeptical about this GC3, they have tired it since its inception and all come around to loving this little 9mm hand cannon. A brand new AR 15 at stock military cost is $400 an affordable price for the US military to purchase 100,000s of thousands, Its a glorified rat shooter, And it would be in good minds to say, that kind of durability and reliability and affordability was in the mind of the engineer of the Taurus G3C, a very affordable pistol for military tactical use. I dont fully know the story, but hands down, Taurus upped their game seriously with this model.
Someone does Not want to take the time to reload. 😁LOL. Just got mine at Christmas. Just been to the range once cuz I've had an operation to recover from but it seems to be a great pistol so far 😄
To anyone looking at buying this gun it’s definitely a great buy, only thing’s I will say from owning one is 1 The front sight in some of them gets lose after some time (factory default) mine got completely sideways after only 70 rounds, used some Loctite and it has since been ok. 2 it might not take HP ammo with ease and jam up sometimes depending on the brand and grain being used. Only two things I can say “bad” about this gun and I’m sure it’s not like this for every build, I still use it as my EDC and trust it completely after fixing these problems.
I got my Taurus PT111 Millennium G2 in November 2016, when I also got my Utah Concealed Firearm Permit. I don't regret my choice of EDC pistol a single bit. I have put a variety of over 2500 rounds through it (before the panic buying fiasco of March 2019 and the Rona panic buying of very late 2019 and early 2020 all happened), including most mainstream hollow points & self-defense, high & low quality FMJ, military surplus and cheap aluminum & steel cased ammo. So far my Taurus PT111 G2 hasn't jammed, broke or failed me in any way to date.
My first gun, except I went with the stainless steel slide, mostly for looks but I see I made a great choice there. No light on mine though, went with a green laser.
I put an Olight Baldr Mini on mine, found a proper iwb holster and now I'll carry either this Taurus or my S&W M&P M2.0 9mm Compact... 17 round magazines in either one with 124gr +P Speer Gold Dot ammunition in both and with a spare magazine I've never felt under-gunned or as if I haven't enough gun to solve any problem I might run into...
I also have a PT111 G2 and just purchased a G3C. The G2 was my EDC for a long while, and once I get the G3C broken in, and get a night sight put on the front, it may become my EDC. I really like them both.
Just came across your channel. .thank you for the in depth review..even though it's a cheaper gun I still can't afford it due to tough times..I had to sell all my guns which felt like a sin
I have a G3 Toro and a TX22 and they are really nice pistols. Budget gun ? I think the other gun companies are priced to high. Ruger Security 9 Compact,Max 9 and the Smith and Wesson Shield Plus are priced pretty good . Taurus are very good pistols and their email subscription is amazing. Taurus like Glock has a lot of marketing for their product. Great video
I knew about that suspect finish so I got the stainless they are hard to find but they're out there. Its actually a very handsome gun in the stainless. One of the best looking polymer guns IMHO.
I had the PT111g2 since 2013 and carried it A lot in sweaty hot and cold and its only had one malfunction Failure to feed using cheap aluminum ammo in all that time!! Never had a problem with brass ball ammo or Hornady CD ammo!! No rust or any other issues ever with gun!
I had the millennium pro 2 (I think) over 20 yrs ago. The lil thing was accurate but the mag release was either to big, in a bad position, or a lil of both but when I would fire it I would eject the mag. Sold it and later got the 24/7. No exaggeration, trigger felt like it had half an inch travel. Sold it as well. The reviews have all been positive about the 2c's and 3s so I'm going to give Taurus a third and final try. I just hope their triggers pass my satisfaction test.
I have a G3, G3c and a GX4XL….love all 3 …all 3 are very reliable and have never had any issues in the 3 years I’ve owned the G3’s and the 2 that I’ve owned the GX4XL…I’ve run all different weights of ammo …all feed ramps are ceremoniously polished and I clean and live regularly…I will say that I purchased a few upgrades from Lakeline for the G3c to include a ported barrel, stainless steel striker sleeve and assembly and stainless steel guide rod and a Keep Tinkering trigger…the other two are as is from factory…with all that said , still, no issues I have a few other makes like Glock, Sig, Smith, Springfield and Canik to name a few( still more ) but the Taurus’ are no joke…very affordable and reliable

I have the P365 and a year later like your post I am still trying to convince myself it was worth it. Picking up this beauty as my new CCW tomorrow because honestly the 365 just feels close but no cigar at the range. Just feels ergonomically off.
Got the Century Arms/Canik TP9 Elite Sub 9mm instead of this one for a little more, I still may end up with this Taurus for a couple hundred bucks at Dunhams when its on sale. Couldn't go wrong, stocking stuffers for family and friends.
Good stuff I have the full size and the 3c love both, they work and they’re comfortable for me.Taurus really did I great job with these and lot of guns lately👍🏿👍🏿 I do plan on upgrading the front sight it’s a little dim for me that’s only thing I’d personally change.
Excellent comprehensive review. I agree with your assessment of the safety, and like the restrike capability only for dry fire practice. Nice features all around. The PoleCraft holsters are a great value 👌
Good video. I have been on the fence on this one . I'm not a big fan of Taurus firearms to begin with . But this one keeps coming up over and over again
I know.😣 I've been going back & forth finally Dec 🎅. I broke down & got one.😊 I have been to the Range just once so far, so good.😄 I emptied all three mags & it but it seem to run good.😁
I have the G3 and love it. It is my "bedsider" For me it just feels good and balanced in the hand. Only thing I did not like is the aggressive side stippling. I only added a Olight, light/laser and Traction Grips (like Red Hot, I put them on everything). It is my personal best shooter at the range. I EDC a Shield 9 and to this day don't enjoy the muzzle flip. I love the conceal ability. of it though.
I just picked this up this weekend for $390 at a La Familia Pawn shop … I also found the SAME model at a different pawnshop BRAND NEW for $439 so the one I got was preowned and CHEAPER .. I can’t wait to shoot it at the range tomorrow
Ngl I own this same gun and I took a corner of sandpaper and rubbed down the grip just a bit. It feels like holding a sea urchin at first. But the thumb safety is what sold me over a Glock. I’ve put a few rounds thru it and Jesus it’s so smooth. Like it’s now my edc especially with the 12+1 clip
My wife got me started on the G3C, she's a deputy sheriff,We pay $179 each they come with 10(12) rnd mags a soft case a IWB cross breed holster I have 3 now she has like 5 great Christmas gift,I carry a Springfield XD 45 and this G3C as backup,I love these things they handle my plus P plus hydrashoks just a great Carry gun
Hell yeah, I'm glad you covered this gun. I think that they are very ergonomic. I have a G2C and that finish is garbage as well. Picking up the G3C soon.
Either this or a canik tp9 u can’t go wrong for 272 this a solid budget 9mm pistol my everyday carry is canik tp9 elite sc my second back up will be a Taurus g3c from grab a gun for 272 will be adding a drum & mag extension & o light mini pl and a red dot optic holosun
I bought a G3C, here in Brazil it takes almost 4 months to buy and pick up the gun at the store, I paid about 820 dollars for it, high taxes, when I get the gun, I will polish the barrel ramp, check the magazine springs and remove excess grease and oil.
I picked mine up for $215 in an online deal. It is a well-engineered but simple and trustworthy design...literally a Glock for half of the price. It's not my EDC, but after 300+ rounds and no misfires, I trust it with my life. And the reviewer is right, it shoots like hot butter on stiff toast. If you're on the fence, just buy one and thank us later.
I carry a G3C 40 S&W. Why, because it is reliable and if it has to sit in an evidence locker for 2 -3 years after a defensive shooting it won't hurt to bad. I leave my high dollar guns at home just for that reason.
I had a g2c...ultimately traded it bc the sight adjustment screws were messed up and it wouldn't hold zero. Other than that, I liked it. I'm carrying a Smith and Wesson shield now, but I might give taurus another chance .
I will start buying Taurus because they have a factory in Georgia that is making really good reliable firearms. Hey just get a new finish done by a gunsmith problem solved. You can also get Birch Wood rust protection spray that works really well. I put that on all my firearms never experiencing any kind of rust.
It drives me crazy how gun reviewers never mention that the Taurus G series are SINGLE ACTION ONLY pistols! That is why the trigger pull seems so nice. Yes, they are FULLY COCKED WHEN RACKED, and urgently need religious use of that nice manual safety for safe carry. The Second Strike trigger is the only time that it is double action, which is why that trigger pull is longer. Sure, there are two internal "passive safeties" but a little dirt or lint can disable these without sign to the shooter. The definition of a tragic accident is that someone was sure that it could not happen! USE THE MANUAL SAFETY..............................elsullo
@@jamesmoore1341 👍. Oh yeah. I Also threw a tandemkross compensator on it. Total overkill but it looks sweet and what little recoil there was is essentially gone. Taught my sister to shoot with it this summer before we went to the 9mm.

Love my Taurus G3C! I added the CAA MCK Gen 2, 50rd Drum & 32rd fun stick and it's now a beast! Highly recommend
Only two things I can say “bad” about this gun and I’m sure it’s not like this for every build, I still use it as my EDC and trust it completely after fixing these problems.
i bought my g3c today. it only came with 2 mags but thats ok. i cant wait to shoot it. this is my first gun im very excited
This was my first gun purchase last week. Went to the range and felt very comfortable with it. And I got it just in time for the mail in rebate.
Nice
Still have mine as well!
I have the G3C TORO with a Holosun 407C on it. Great CCW
They take Sig P226 mags too. Mecgar makes some great inexpensive P226 mags I run in my G2C and G3.
I own two G2s and love them. If you want to fall in love with a hammer fired Taurus Compact try the PT809C.
I bought 2 17 round mags from Taurus = Taurus Perfection
I have a G3 Toro and a TX22 and they are really nice pistols. Budget gun ? I think the other gun companies are priced to high. Ruger Security 9 Compact,Max 9 and the Smith and Wesson Shield Plus are priced pretty good . Taurus are very good pistols and their email subscription is amazing. Taurus like Glock has a lot of marketing for their product. Great video
I knew about that suspect finish so I got the stainless they are hard to find but they're out there. Its actually a very handsome gun in the stainless. One of the best looking polymer guns IMHO.
They're coated in Tennifer, just like nearly every other brand of gun. (Most of the other names you hear are other names for Tennifer).
I have other guns, more expensive, better looking too, but this gun is my favorite to carry daily
Me too.. Isn't that crazy??!!!!
Me too 😂
I had the millennium pro 2 (I think) over 20 yrs ago.
My G2c and TX22 run flawlessly. Time to get either the G3c or maybe the TH9.
Got this in od green a while back love it no issues so far
I have a M&P Shield 40c but was looking at the Sig Sauer P238 as a daily CCW... apparently they discontinued it in favor of manufacturing the P365. I don't recall how the G3c came on my radar but all the reviews and videos I watch on it leaves me more and more impressed, especially for the price value! I currently have my eye on the one with the stainless steel slide.
I have the P365 and a year later like your post I am still trying to convince myself it was worth it. Picking up this beauty as my new CCW tomorrow because honestly the 365 just feels close but no cigar at the range. Just feels ergonomically off.
I saw this one at a tool shop for $236. Always heard bad things about taurus but after watching this I think I'll give it a shot. No pun intended.
Every semi-automatic pistol I own has a polished feed ramp. Works flawlessly with any type of hollow point
Got the Century Arms/Canik TP9 Elite Sub 9mm instead of this one for a little more, I still may end up with this Taurus for a couple hundred bucks at Dunhams when its on sale. Couldn't go wrong, stocking stuffers for family and friends.
Great review. Definitely received some great insight with my next purchase.
picking mine up next week, can’t wait! thanks for the video!
Good stuff I have the full size and the 3c love both, they work and they’re comfortable for me.Taurus really did I great job with these and lot of guns lately👍🏿👍🏿 I do plan on upgrading the front sight it’s a little dim for me that’s only thing I’d personally change.
Taurus guns are my favorite to have glocks are good but the price taurus brings and they are reliable to me beat glock in my opinion
I've got this gun and this exact holster. Carrying it right now with the 17rd mag with the spacer. I leave my Glocks at home anymore.
So I got this gun and.i love it I replaced the sights with truglos and this baby can shoot very impressed with this and carry it daily now
I have 2 PT111 G2's with no issue. Have the G2C and G3c no Issues. Bought the GX4, shoots fine. But believe my Favorite is the G3C
Excellent comprehensive review. I agree with your assessment of the safety, and like the restrike capability only for dry fire practice.
Nice features all around.
The PoleCraft holsters are a great value 👌
Never leave home with out my g3c
The stippleling on mine wore down after a year.
Over 1000 rounds of various brand and styles of ammo through mine. I have a nice Lazer and tac light and love the gun
The music to start the video is one of the most high def intro I have ever heard, more high def than the actual gun firing lol.
So impressive its better than other expensive leading brand
I love mine in Doo Doo Green......
I just picked this up this weekend for $390 at a La Familia Pawn shop … I also found the SAME model at a different pawnshop BRAND NEW for $439 so the one I got was preowned and CHEAPER .. I can’t wait to shoot it at the range tomorrow
299 at academy sports in the fde color
@@lorenzoguice2738kts 600 dollars here in philippines
Mine shoots a little low to the right but once you account for that I love it.
I had a G2C, but it got stolen. Now I have a G3. Been pleased with both.
Got the stainless version. Awesome firearm. Taurus has lost their dam mind. Wow!
❤ my stainless slide G3 and G3C. ✌😁
This is one of my cheapest pistols yet it is my edc...no problems whatsoever.
Hell yeah, I'm glad you covered this gun. I think that they are very ergonomic. I have a G2C and that finish is garbage as well. Picking up the G3C soon.
love mine..............until I got a CanikTP9SF Elite....G3C now moved down to ankle holster
Say what you want about Taurus, but this is a great carry gun.
Just picked one up for $249.99 on sportsman’s warehouse on line. There is also a $25 rebate so $224.99!
Great video, I’m going to check this out…
Love my PT111G2 Millennium
Absolutely. Lakeline LLC has some great upgrades.
you should try the full size G3
Either this or a canik tp9 u can’t go wrong for 272 this a solid budget 9mm pistol my everyday carry is canik tp9 elite sc my second back up will be a Taurus g3c from grab a gun for 272 will be adding a drum & mag extension & o light mini pl and a red dot optic holosun
Canik? What are you a Hipster?
Mine wouldn't run longer 147 gr ammo without jamming on the feed ramp. Make sure you test your carry ammo. Mine eats 115 gr without issue.
I had the shield 2.0 and it was stolen, so I went and picked up a GC3, it’s more comfortable than the shield but I’ve yet to shoot it yet.
I will start buying Taurus because they have a factory in Georgia that is making really good reliable firearms. Hey just get a new finish done by a gunsmith problem solved. You can also get Birch Wood rust protection spray that works really well. I put that on all my firearms never experiencing any kind of rust.
I have a few Taurus firearms, G3C, G3 and just picked up a never fired G2C 40 cal from a coworker. No issues with any of them so far.
Does the G3c run hollow points
Great Review. Thank you.
I only hear great things about the G3C. size, reliability, weight.
Gotta save for this. I have the TX22 which Is a great .22 plinker
I picked up the TX-22 competition this summer and put a vortex venom on it. Love it.
@@jagpilotohio very nice. Bet it looks awesome
@@jamesmoore1341 👍. Oh yeah. I Also threw a tandemkross compensator on it. Total overkill but it looks sweet and what little recoil there was is essentially gone. Taught my sister to shoot with it this summer before we went to the 9mm.
Got one around Christmas last year. Got the 🔫 and 3 mags for 229. I have around 1000 rds through it zero malfunctions. It shoots the Plus P 124gr Sabres....with no problem either.
FYI..Federal hydra shocks dont cycle through the G2s & G3s very well. The front edge of the hollowpoint is very square & sharp..they dig into the feed ramp & short cycles. Take care
