Bought a G3c for my wife. Sits in the nightstand next to her side of the bed. When I travel, she feels comfortable it’s there. She loves this gun and shoots it very well.
Thank you for this info because I currently own the G2S very first ever firearm. Had to go with this model because of financial reasons at the time. Was like may only hold 7+1 but because of an extension I purchased it now holds 8+1. Most likely will use this one as my carry because I'm going to get the G3C. Was leaning towards the G2C but I think I will go with this model. Especially since it provides 3 magazines instead of 2. Which 2 is not bad and I like the fact it holds 12+1 rounds. Which I most likely will use this as my home defense firearm. But if it's not bulky to carry, may use it as my carry and home defense. And let my fiance use the G2S as far a s sign this one over to her so she can have perturbed on those days where I'm not at home

Just purchased this gun at my local gun show today and I can’t wait to pick it on Tuesday to try it out. I was undecided between this Glock 42 and the M&P Shield Plus. Hoping I made good choice as my first gun for now!
@@jmcglinchey2589 I actually found one on Armslist for $274 thru L & N Gunshop out of Kentucky. I had to have it shipped to a local firearms store here in Wisconsin.
Note it's actually a slide catch, not a slide release. Designed to hold the slide, not necessarily to release it. Taurus recommend you pull the slide back and release in order to chamber
Have heard some real good reviews on this gun . The price in my area is $259 - $279 not bad for how things are now. I will be getting one when things calm down some.
I just purchased this gun & I like it alot because of the things you just mentioned. I am happy with the choice I made in purchasing this personal protection weapon for myself. Taurus great job will continue to purchase
When you pulled back the barrel was pointing up not straight flat ,what’s up with that and I like how you covered the crooked barrel every time you pull it back
It isn’t crooked or broken. This is how this gun and virtually all striker fired handguns are designed. It’s called a: short recoil, locked-breech operation. It is also similar to the Browning Hi-Power cam-lock system. When a round is fired, the slide reciprocates. As the slide goes back the barrel does as well (very slightly) and locks. As the bullet leaves the barrel, chamber pressure drops, the slide continues rearward even more, the barrel then tilts downward due to interfacing with the locking lug in the frame which will unlock the barrel. - (if this is your last round it will leave it in the the tilted position with the slide locked to the rear) - Essentially the titling of the barrel is necessary for the firearm to function.
If you just bought it today, you haven’t carried it or shot it or practiced with it nearly enough to call it your EDC. It’s irresponsible to just carry a gun because you like it. Carry it around a little and practice with it…then decide:
I could not wait for things to calm down so I had to pay + $10 shipping +$30 FFL cause could not find it locally due to insane market demand and the complexity with 3 day waiting period in Florida.
I used some 400 wet/dry sandpaper on my G3C and took a little of the aggressive stippling off. It’s still fairly 😂aggressive, but won’t tear you up after 100 rounds at the range. I did the same thing to my PT111 G2 several years ago.
I just bought myself one of these today from Dunhams. They were having a flash sale and I couldn't resist lol. I'm supposed to be saving for my new car 🙄
I like this gun. I had issues with it jamming and safety guy at the range said it was my magazine. Total me how to solve it. It would shoot about 3 rounds and jam. I used +P and 124 grain and 115. I love the gun. I also purchased the G3C and that Taurus gun is awesome as well.
Great and informative unboxing review, GunBox Therapy! Watched it more than once. This truly is a great gun at a great price. Thanks for posting this video. God bless. 👍😎
I'm having an "issue" with my G3c which is brand new/never fired before. The slide is locking back on mine and it's very difficult for me to return it forward. I'm having to press the slide catch lever really, really hard to bring the slide forward. Another RUclipsr here is telling me there's nothing wrong with my G3c and for now to pull the slide a bit more back then let it go forward.. but seeing your operate at 3:20, I don't see the issue mine is having. I have shot and handled everything from Berettas, Sig, Walther, Glock and Springfield, and none have had this slide locking to the back issue. As soon as you press the slide release, it should do that, release it forward.. Ugh! :(
This may be a “dumb question”, because you say you have experience with other platforms, when pulling the slide to the rear is: the magazine inserted? If so, is the magazine empty or loaded? If loaded, is it fully loaded? If fully loaded, trying downloading by one bullet. If the magazine is empty, try removing the magazine and then pull the slide to the rear and then attempt to release it via the slide release. If none of those apply to you, I’ll continue the conversation after knowing the answers to the questions above.
@@GunBoxTherapy The magazine was not loaded, it was inserted empty on the gun which is still at the gun shop waiting for my background check. I just noticed this today when I went to go see it and try it. I’m no expert with weapons by any means, just have shot a few other brands and none seem to do what this new one is doing where the slide stays locked to the rear position. I’ll try out what you’re saying, but shouldn’t the slide return forward with or without an empty or loaded mag in it?
It’s a simple mistake that a lot of people make and I do it too. So on the follower of the magazine of almost every semi-auto handgun/rifle out there, there is a notch that the slide release gets caught on. This is what allows semi-auto handguns/rifles to have the feature known as “last round bolt hold open” (LRBHO). So, whenever you fire your last round, what occurs is: 1) Obviously the magazine is empty. 2) The follower is now is in its upward most position. 3) The notch on the follower has engaged the slide release via the spring pressure in the magazine. 4) This pushes the slide release up as the slide moves rearward, locking the slide to the rear. The G3c and some other handguns as well, have a larger than normal notch on the follower. This can make the use of the slide release on an empty magazine pretty difficult. Try removing the magazine and then utilizing the slide release. Hope this helps!
@@GunBoxTherapy Thank you! I really appreciate your help and I sincerely hope I was wrong in it being simply operator’s error on my part. Gives me hope as I really like the G3c, so much that I ended up changing my mind on a beautiful Canik TP9 Elite SC they had there and I went with the G3c for easier concealment purposes, it being smaller and having such great reviews. Like I said, gives me hope. Thanks again 👍🏻
Perhaps instead of being overly critical of the OM, you should have read it before starting your video. Page 26 has the take down instructions. The G3 and G3C both take down like any of the Glock models. After releasing the slide, you have to pull the trigger and the slide will pop forward on the frame for removal from the frame. Just saying!

Glock style takedown. Also I love the grip thats one of the things that sold me. Also I like the trigger. And mine is optic cut and has a Bushnell red dot. I do wish they gave you suppressor high sights since it did come with a red dot and it sits a little high making the rear sight unusable.
Looking at this model it looks like the magazine can fit the G2S. It looks to be the same size and it has the same barrel length. They made this in a 12 round double stack but made the G2s in a 7 round single stack. I don't get it when both looks to be the same size, etc
lol. Yeah, I guess without context you wouldn't know that I was filming from an above view looking down on my table. Maybe one day I'll do an office tour.

The only thing I've heard. Is it tends to come from the factory pretty dirty and some people. Are complaining on the sights. I bought one yesterday. I plan on replacing the striker guide. But other then that nothing but good things.
If you haven’t purchased already, I recommend the new S&W Shield Plus. While Taurus is a good company and from what I’ve heard they stand behind their products via good customer service and warranty repairs. And see with a positive also comes a negative, I’ve personally sent and received a lot of Taurus handguns in/back for warranty repairs. I have neither sent or received a S&W for warranty repair. Smith and Wesson is a reputable brand who has to stand behind their product (they are a publicly traded company). While it isn’t large investors whom are interested in their product, it’s the consumer that controls the trust of the company and inadvertently the stock price. They are also an American company and all of their handguns (unsure of rifles/shotguns) are made in America. If that doesn’t speak to you that’s understood but to me that is important. The shield plus is a very nice concealed carry pistol that had good holster and aftermarket parts support. The magazines are more expensive than the Taurus ones but from what I’ve heard are very reliable.
I view that the same way a poker player views their deck of cards. “Never show your cards”. I’ve done unboxings here/there of some that are mine but the majority of These are sold.
The TX-22 is more of a compact while this I would consider a sub-compact. The TX-22 is best compared to the size of a Glock 19 and this a Glock 26 or Sig P365.
You will be surprise how thin it is i have the full size g3 and it is concealable this one is no exemption it is actually very small but comfrotable to hold. Be my next purchase
I would honestly say that this is industry average or maybe slightly above but definitely not out of line in regards to pricing. I would maybe search online for a place you could send it in to. They are most likely cheaper and do things on a higher volume (i.e. have more experience)

Mine didn’t come with the external safety. Does anyone know which ones, G3C’s come with external safety’s and which ones don’t?
Are there any 12 round mags that fits flush with out the pinky extension?
Can we get a look at ur gun collection
I view that the same way a poker player views their deck of cards. “Never show your cards”.
I’ve done unboxings here/there of some that are mine but the majority of
These are sold.
@@GunBoxTherapy ohkay
What’s the size of this compared to the tx22?
The TX-22 is more of a compact while this I would consider a sub-compact. The TX-22 is best compared to the size of a Glock 19 and this a Glock 26 or Sig P365.
@@GunBoxTherapy thanks
Price plzzzzz

@@otsnando6817 well, to be fair, I helped her select it, she actually purchased it lol
1k subs🥳
keep fighting
I bought one yesterday
This G3C handgun is much better than Glock 26 at very affortable price point.
No relation to Unbox Therapy?
No sir.
Just got a price for the cerakote is 150 that's ridiculous. 180 if they have to field strip it lol
I would honestly say that this is industry average or maybe slightly above but definitely not out of line in regards to pricing. I would maybe search online for a place you could send it in to. They are most likely cheaper and do things on a higher volume (i.e. have more experience)
@@GunBoxTherapy I was able to find someone local that does it for $75 if you bring it dissembled. Seen his instagram for the shop as well and works looks like quality 🤙🏼
Just ordered mine 5 mins ago lol.
I start follow you
İ like it but i'm 17
What a waste of time!!!
Oh, why is that?
Love this gun.
It's a beautiful gun. In Thailand, it's very expensive.
