I think the problem is that big companies nowadays don’t want to take risks and try to innovate… they just want to make more money. Mirrors Edge wasn’t that popular of a game because it wasn’t your typical Call of Duty or similar type of game. It was an experiment, which is a big financial risk for a video game studio and publisher. We will never have a game as unique as this, or games like the ones that came out during this era, because the games that are made today are financed by people unwilling to take risks on things that are unique
This game was a product of its time. After seeing how inconsistently DICE handled Catalyst a large part of me believes it’s best left where it is. We can go back to 2008 playing this, and you know what? That’s just fine with me.
yeah, catalyst definitely took another approach that took it far away from the 2008 mirror's edge, don't get me wrong catalyst can be a fun game but og is definitely a unique game worth revisiting.

I love finding old songs that slipped away through the years, just to have every word safely stored in my memory.
Sad to say I don't think well ever be getting a proper sequel to this game since it's Dice and EA that own the franchise and the prequel was kinda forgettable when compared to the original. RIP :(
Considering Dice will most likely be focused on Battlefield 2042, I doubt we'll be seeing another Mirror's Edge anytime soon ;(
