- I'm back! Sorry it's been a couple of months since my last upload, we've had a busy summer. In this video we head to Salty Gears Offroad to go over some changes they recently made to my Raptor.
I had them install a new front mount intercooler from ADD Offroad/AFE Power so that we can move up to a Stage 2 Tune from Goosetuned and push more power! They also installed a blow off valve which sounds so cool.
I finally upgraded my tires and decided to go with the Yokohama Geolander X-AT in size 35x12.50R17. These tires are super quite on road and I love them so far.

Thanks for subscribing! If I had to say, I’d go Gen 2. More power, better suspension, better looks (my opinion of course), updated interior, and more options for aftermarket upgrades.

So is the bov a kit you buy? I'm abit confused
Get rid of that filter on on the BOV, not needed and muffles the sound, if you want a louder BOV sound do the Turbo Smart mechanical BOV series upgrade. Mine is wicked loud as It echos off the front skid plate on my RPG shotgun bumper. ( just be sure to do the full race throttle body as well with it so you don’t tap into the engine vacuum lines/ creates a sprinkler ticking effect)
My raptor has a ticking noise and the dealer can never “recreate it” or figure it out.
Can you elaborate the vacuum issue causing a tick?
Do you have part number for specific BOV?
How’s the stage 2 with upgraded intercooler? Did you notice big differences from stage 1?

Stage 2 is awesome! Very noticeable difference from Stage 1. So much more responsive and lots of power at any speed.

Did you at any point have any issues with the cam phasers ? Did you do the reprogramming that Ford put out?
Yes I’ve had my phasers replaced but haven’t done the reprogram yet, since that came out after I got the new phasers. I need to get it done.
Hey I did Cobb piping, Intercooler and intake at cold start sounds like an air plane, it than idles down of course. Is it normal that loud air flow noise at start up?
I’m not sure man I’m sorry. I did the ADD Off-road FMIC. I didn’t do intake because it doesn’t add any performance gains, it’s just for turbo sound.

What made you choose the 90 degree BOV vs the normal? Just curious before I pull the trigger?
That was just what the shop had in stock at the time so that's what I went with.
What do you mean 90 degree bov? I thought this was the stock BOV just vented to atmosphere?
Did the blow off valve feature come with the ADD intercooler? Or was there anything you had to do different other than install the intercooler to get that blow off sound?
So sorry I missed this question! It's the factory recirculation valve just vented to atmosphere. ADD just has you remove it during the install and then you put the factory valve into the new charge tube. (That's what my shop told me)
Just need same opinions and advice.. I own a 2020 ford raptor with 46k miles I have a roush cold air intake , roush exhaust and 2 months ago had a COBB STAGE 2 POWER PACKAGE FMIC BLACK (NO INTAKE) WITH TCM TUNER + INSTALL + CUSTOM TUNE installed. Almost 3 months later ,pow, p0299 code saying under boost, just drove slow like a 3 cylinder yugo, then 3 weeks after continue driving try to find someone to fix it i got a 304, 305, 306 code which made my truck shake and lose more power but would go away after a miniute.Just took it to 3 different mechanics for an underboost problem and all 3 said both turbos are bad. I have taken the tune off and the ford dealer I took it to is not sure why the turbos went bad but is going to fix it under the powertrain warranty. My question is 2 part , what could have happen and how do I prevent this from happening again? Just need some help , thank you for any help you can give, sincerely, Shane.
Probably wouldn’t run tunes and power packages, the tune could be bad. Your turbos were probably “overworked”. The raptor 3.5L engine is only rated for a little over 500 horsepower. I’d be careful with what you do to the raptor. If you want to do power packages and tunes, I’d build the engine out.

Definitely. Drove that truck for 5 years and loved it.
