In this video we see which is faster between a Gen 2 Raptor with a Stage 2 Goosetune or a Stock Gen 3 Raptor with a 37 package. Which do you think will win?
We also do some exhaust sound comparisons and test out the different exhaust modes on the new Gen 3 Raptor. It sounds so good!

I wonder how much power is lost going from 35’s to 37’s.
It would be awesome to see a Gen 3 head to head with both tire sizes
I’ve driven a Gen 3 with 35s and from my seat dyno it didn’t feel any different than the 37 package. I’ve heard the weight difference is pretty negligible. Would be interesting to line them up side by side tho.
@@raptorsofinsta I’ve also driven both and the 37 is slower. You’re right in that the weight difference between the two tires isn’t much, but I suspect the 37” package wheels are heavier than the 35 package standard alloys as well
Agreed, I would imagine the 35’s make some difference. Not sure it offsets the tune but it would be closer.
Changing the tire size is more work than its worth
@@raptorsofinsta I've seen several videos of Gen 2 & 3 stock 35's and Gen 3 wins easily every time.

That's all the years of the raptors I have owned. I've had the gen 3 for about a month and so far its my favorite one. I do plan on ordering a R as soon as I can.

I’m assuming the current gen 2 set up will fit on the gen 3 no? Same engine just maybe slightly better potential?
When is the gen 3 stuff coming out… I have like a year before I receive my gen 3 but I’m ready to start modding already man lol……

Talk to me Goose! Love my goose tune. You need to find someone with 35’s for a better comparison. Although goose is still going to smoke a stock Gen 3.
Goose ftw 🙌🏼 even with 35s the Gen 3 drives practically the same. I’ve driven both.
I have the AWE exhaust on my 2017 Raptor. I think I like AWE better than the Gen3.

I agree with some of the other comments related to tires. Looks like the Gen 2 has non stock wheels and tires though so weight could be negligible depending on brand. The Gen 3 35” is faster than a stock Gen 2 though because of the rear suspension changes and transmission tuning. Throw on some traction bars or a KHC torque arm on the Gen 2 and the speed would be about the same stock.
Good video, but for a fair comparison, both trucks should have the same tire size. Not sure which tire package the ‘22 has? Could be 35’s or 37’s.
Since my Gen 2 is tuned and the Gen 3 isn’t, I knew it wasn’t going to be a completely “fair” video. More just for fun. Thank you for watching!

Im in the market for a raptor and i still can't decide if picking up a low mileage gen 2 for 50's is the move or spend a chunk more for gen 3...of course I want the best for the lowest cost😂
How does the Gen3 suspension compare to the Fox Racing 3.0?
The Gen 3 suspension is so nice on the road! It’s a step up from the Fox 3.0 on road. I’ve never had a Gen 3 off-road yet, I’m guessing it’s awesome. But I will say the Fox 3.0 off-road are absolutely incredible and very capable!
Your truck is on 35s never heard the discussion mentioned about weight/gear ratio

Not sure. Gen 3 tunes aren’t out yet. And since I don’t own a Gen 3 I haven’t looked up Intercooler prices.

You're initial statement is incorrect. If you're Stage 2 Goosetuned then you're not putting out 450hp and 510trq like you stated.
What I meant is both trucks have the same engine stock. Obviously a tune gives it more power. Should’ve clarified tho. 👍🏼

Yeah I loved my Gen 2, had it almost 5 years. But if you can afford it, I’d go with a Gen 3. Updated tech, interior, suspension, looks. If not, a 2020 is still an awesome truck!

the gen two 2 is so
This video misses the entire point. I've had both trucks and there is no comparison. "My truck can't even launch in 2wd!" Thats the point. The rear end suspension is night and day between the two.
Bone stock my gen 3 poops on my gen 2 lol.
also of course the tuned truck with 35's is going to walk away. less rotating mass lol
