I wasn’t a believer until I bought my Gen2. I have changed many of people’s opinions about the v6 with a quick drive down the highway. I have learned to ignore the haters because they’re the ones that talk crap but yet where is their raptor??? I mean if they really wanted a valued opinion they could just by the gen1 6.2. But I was happy trading my gen1 in for the 2. It’s a blast!
I am no way putting this truck down, because i own a gen 2 raptor myself, but no one should take a dual rear exhaust pipe truck and modify it by putting the exhausts on the right side, it’s just ugly and stupid, but thats only my opinion.
I like dealerships that are not afraid to go in this aftermarket / custom build direction. Lot of money to be made besides selling the manufacturers product. Big like

Beautiful truck but it sounds absolutely awful, why would anyone make that truck louder? Just larger exhaust mandrel bent and quiet series mufflers,some trucks are better off seen and not heard this is one of them. Also nice way to beat a cold engine,truck was clearly not warmed up when you hit the road and pushed it way past stock boost ona cold engine ...SMH

Those aren't wheel horsepower and toque numbers for one, so don't think this makes 710 lb-ft at the wheels. Also, your ecoboost isn't a straight copy of what's in the Raptor. Yours starts at 375hp/470tq and the Raptor starts at 450hp/510tq. Another thing to note is that you can throw a ton of parts at something and have them not matched well to compliment each other on top of a garbage tune to end up with something not that impressive. A good tune on can go a long way with just a few hard parts nowadays.

I’m slowly being won over by this design of Raptor. Yeah, the sound is... gonna take some getting used to but that power though! I’d probably spec some exhaust setup to increase the tone, make it less raspy and pitched. Other than that, I could see myself owning one of these in the future.
We have really embraced aftermarket ErpicPrepper 101. We are one of the only few in the Midwest that we are aware of doing this type of advanced aftermarket :)
bad ass truck maybe you can do a review on the new 2018 F150 5.0L Roush SS when they come out with that, it should put out similar numbers to this supped up raptor or even better get a Shelby F150 with over 750HP 5.0L V8
We do not sell Roush vehicles. Honestly not to bash Roush, but the actual Roush vehicles sold by them are marked up extremely high just to have their name on it. We build the same trucks with the exact same products for much less or with WAY more product and custom colors etc. so customers have unique builds :)
The gen 2 raptor is not your typical v8 truck. It’s the pinnacle of what a manufacturing company can do. I never have drove a gen 1 but I would never trade in my gen2 for a v8. My opinion. If you actually stand behind my truck and cold start it, the sound is very comparable to a older v8 sound. Actually I’ll post a video today.
Purely depends on your dealer. Phil long of Denver says ecm tune does void, also they can choose to void your warranty if they tie any fault back to an aftermarket part- any aftermarket part related to the stock pert that fails. Phil long of Denver sucks.
I like the Raptor graphics. That's about the only thing I don't have on my '17 Raptor because the stock graphics are weak. Where can I purchase the carbon fiber graphics?
Folks getting these should hold out for the 7.0, followed by the 7.0 hybrid. In the meantime waiting on my roush stage 2 to arrive at Ford, and getting some super 44s or a super 10. But insane speed I’m sure
Cool Build and the exhaust sounds way better then expected, but the power numbers you state are grossly overstated that it’s laughable. You don’t need claim unrealistic power numbers to make the truck cool. At most the truck probably puts 485-500hp to 550tq to the ground. Which is cool because it’s a 3.5l V-6. Interesting there was no plug change and regap or an oil separator addition.
Power to the ground will of course be lower due to driveline losses. He’s talking power at the crank which is entirely realistic considering what they’re rated stock. No clue why you think they’re grossly overstated and laughable
I'll bite on your logic. Assuming 550hp is flywheel horsepower with a 25% drive train loss (-137.5hp) would put to the ground horsepower at 412.50hp and now the torque figure at 710ft/tq flywheel torque with a 25% drive train loss (177.50tq) would put 532.50tq to the ground. Now MPT tuning who has the strongest 2017 3.5L raptor tune available on a bone stock truck put 452.4hp and 486.1tq. The downpipes and exhaust have shown to make little to no gains on these trucks and the whipple ecu programming is marginal at best. A side question how does one figure out actual crank hp and tq unless the engine is pulled and dyno'd? is this just a theoretical number that one assumes or is it deduced from to the ground measurement?
Yeah all that was done here was a simple spring replacement that is specifically made for the fox shock to give a small increase in front height. Same performance from the shocks :)

The exhaust tips were cringe worthy....paint chipping off. For a truck of this caliber it would be a good idea to keep the stock exit location first of all and aftermarket parts as simple as exhaust tips need to be stainless.
Nice truck love the intake , I personally don’t want to hear the exhaust on a truck that sounds like crap so why amplify it? And the blow off valve sounds stupid on this truck. I hate watching Saleman drive new vehicles you can clearly see the condensation coming from the exhaust of a cold engine you guys are hammering a cold modded turbo engine , full load and boost launch thru the parking lot , it’s just a stupid thing to do , especially since the power and boost are over stock . Only someone who doesn’t care or is ignorant and has no business driving that vehicle does that.Ford designs it for idiots and salesmen but you mod it and there cushion and idiot factor is gone ....that’s a good way to pop a head gasket.

Love the new raptors but no matter what you do to that ecoboost it will always sound like shit! It might out perform the 6.2L but it will never give you the classic America v8 sound.
