ein's VA is rie kugimiya: as kagura(gintama), alphonse elric(fullmetal archemist)and so on. for Japanese, it is pretty rare for her to act boy voice(alphonse is also rare thing).
By that token, you also have to include Longinus, late-game Lorelai, and Skadi iirc Also worth noting that Disaresta and Lost Seraph technically have 4 variants each based on how full the Overdrive gauge is, though the Lv 0, 1, and 2 variants just cut the combo short compared to the Lv 3 version, as well as lacking the stormy background change and feather burst. On the enemy side of things, the Blue Fool and Red Sage are also missing.
I was a bit deceived by the soundtrack (just a little because It Is good on Its majority), but now that I see the visual fx and the voice acting, I feel more deceived... [Edit]: I retract myself. *This Is a total Downgrade.* This remake was not made with the same Intent as It was done with the GBA. It's like they set anyone to do this game with no particular Interest..
The English VA was superior in this game. It perfectly match their characters. In Japanese version Ein: He sounds perfectly like a shota where the English one he sound abit older yet somewhat also child like. Fia: Way too high pitched. And the sound seems recorded in a poor quality. The EN version is definitely an older sister sound like. Lina: Way to lolified, enough said. Serene: Same as above Sierra: Same issues as Fia.
While I prefer English Fia is the little sister not the older sister so that point is moot. The JP characters lean harder into the tropes but docking points for that is kinda wild since the target audience for it would likely repond better to it.

Japanese voices are so bad, the girls have loli voices and Ein sounds like a shota even though he is a teenager. (They are all teenagers except for Cierra anyway). Only Ledah's voice fits him. Oh, yeah and some of the bosses also have ok voices.
