I think that Bayonetta being a nun while ironic, may actually have some relevance. According to the descriotion of Urbane, Angels (and by extension possibly Demons as well) are created from abstract concepts of their given names (ex. Joys could be created out of men being joyful). Seeing as though that such values are taught to Man by figuree such as priests and nuns, it does compensate the amount of Angels Bayonetta kills for fun and her pact with Inferno. Kinda like reforestation after cutting down some trees for practical use

Labolas has a cool backstory in Bayonetta. Apparently he was a normal dog that accidentally wandered into a portal to Inferno, instead of getting eaten or enslaved he managed to survive and became empowered and warped by the energies of Inferno until he turned into a badass saber-tooth dragon dog. Also as dog's are famous for their loyalty that's why he didn't rebel against his summoner despite the imbalance in the realms like Gomorrah did
I find it really cool that Rosa’s order for the hekatoncheir is “Protect her” and the first time we hear it is in the sequel when she calls them to defend Bayonetta’s mech. She recognized her as her daughter instantly and wanted to defend her as a mom 🥲

So Roza has the best dictation, Bayonetta tend to be more theatrical and Jeanne tends to intone her incantations. While Roza's unique calls tend to be either orders or titles, Bayonetta uses more theatrical and metaphorical calls and Jeanne has a thing about promises, weeping and vomit.
I think it also has to do with the fact that Jeanne is slightly more powerful than bayonetta so she mastered summoning multiple demons with the same word but with different dances but that might be incorrect but it’s just what I gathered from playing
Bony Bish a bit more experienced. Definitely not stronger. Jeanne had five hundred years to practice. But bayonetta managed to beat her even with only twenty years. Oh and btw. Bayonetta is half witch half lumen. Her powers are amplified due to this.

Imo Queen Sheba is one half of Omne. At the end of the first game, after rendering Aesir’s earthly counterpart (Since he’s the God of Earth and Chaos and she is The Creator) basically immobile, she was able to conjure up enough Witch Energy to unleash a manifestation of the Left Eye. So if Balder was fighting her and conjured enough energy in a similar fashion to Cereza, he would be able to manifest the Right Eye into something, perhaps a King so and so. Together after fighting God himself, they teamed up to create Omne, perhaps some of the first witches and sages to create such a being.

Omne and Queen Sheba are the most powerful demons because they require two summoners. The other ones are equal in power - just used for different circumstances - but it is estimated that Madama Butterfly is Bayonetta's personal favourite because she is her main demon: Most of her guns use Madama Butterfly's arms and legs as Wicked Weaves, she is the most used demon overall - even during a battle such as against Loptr when he throws a meteor, she lends her the butterfly wings for flight, is used in demon masquerade frequently and even takes her shadow. So one can assume that Bayonetta has the most control over all the powers of Madama Butterfly. However, that doesn't mean that she is the best demon against every enemy: When fighting Justitia, it was the right idea to summon Scolopendra because of its length and strangling ability. Diomedes and Hydra would have also been good choices in that battle, but I doubt Madama Butterfly can do much about a giant flesh ball other than punch/kicking it.

@@akumayoxiruma Queen Sheba was actually summoned by Bayonetta herself, unsure why she was unable to do so beforehand, maybe the power and confidence to fight Aesir’s earthly counterpart, (Tbh they never fill in the difference between Jubelies who is dubbed “the creator” and Aesir The God of the Chaos Realm, so that’s my own interpretation), or her tapping into the Left Eye’s power to create one half of Omne, which is Queen Sheba (guessing if Balder summoned one it would be King so and so). Perhaps it takes an extreme amount of Witch Energy to power up such a demon because it’s not one sitting in hell for Bayo to grab and shove in a portal, it’s a demonic version of herself and her power with the Left Eye, or the Left Eye’s manifestation. So Queen Sheba would be Bayonetta’s most powerful demon to conjure up in a fight, however she would be having to face literally God to store enough energy to unleash the power inside the Left Eye, and while Omne is more powerful being paired with the Right Eye’s King, there are no Lumen Sages left for her to pair up with to perform such a summoning. Madame Butterfly seems to be the next best bet because that’s who Bayonetta contracted when she became endowed into the dark arts, and was able to beat several demons and angels and was one of the only demons to not bust out of control when the Right Eye was destroyed. Labalos is powerful, more powerful than Gomorrah which is a demon that Bayonetta is fond of for good reason, but it also weak enough to be killed by a Sage or Witch.
Whenever Bayonetta summons Phantasmaraneae it sounds like she’s saying “YASSASSAH, YADA!” Or “HASSASSAH, YADA!” Or “LOTS OF SAW, YEAHDA!” And finally “LOTS OF SAUCE, YELLA!”
One thing I noticed is bayonetta never summoms gamorah after jeanne's death, either because she broke the contract with it or because she feels guilt that she let her summon get out of control

She doesn’t summon Phantasameare, Scolopendra either and throughout the game you fight all of them, seems there is a demon heirarchy in place with some trying to kill her to re-balance the world by destroying both eyes after one is lost, but some staying loyal
Well she is; but unlike Madama Styx or Madame Butterfly, Madame Khepri is...skeptical for designers to do. Especially; Khepri is more slender and way taller than Styx and Butterfly.
Does anyone else think the spider one is cute, don’t get me wrong I have Arachnophobia. I hate spiders, but something about those spiders eating that angel is... cute. Also did anyone notice that you fight the spider in the second game.
She also fights a horse of Scolopendra right beforehand. Seems there is a heirarchy of demon loyalty, seeing as Gomorrah and Phantasameare and Scolopendra all go after Bayonetta to re-balance the world after the loss of the Right Eye, but Labalos and Madame Butterfly never leave Bayonetta’s side.
something I realized with Gomorrah. at the end of Bayo 1, it gets summoned, and has its neck snapped. then, the next time it's summoned in Bayo 2, it goes berserk. maybe there's a connection there.

Why do the background tracks of some of the summons not match the scenes from the game? Is there a feature I don't know about that let's you play any track from the OST during battle, or were they just edited later?
I kinda suspect those specific parts of the video are played on PC, since playing on PC means you can randomly switch around the OST files. Of course, post-editings are always a goid answer too.

I know this video is a few years old, but I still have some I would like to clear up for newcomers, in order of appearance: - PDI BARMA (yes, PDI, not PDEE) does not mean “First Elder”, rather it’s a cacodemon, or “name of a demon” as the wiki states it. - Rosa’s chant for Gomorrah is ARZULGE, not ARZULE. Spelling matters when summoning otherworldly beings. - Malphas’ correct chant is ADRAMAN, or “name of Evil Spirit”, not A GRA ORS. - Ohhh boy, EVERYTHING is wrong for Hekatoncheir. First off, Bayonetta’s chant is the worst of the three, the first word of TWO words should be APACHANA, not whatever the hell the video said. Seriously what were they thinking?? Next, Jeanne’s is just spelled wrong, it should be “ZNRZA”, take away that E right now. Lastly, Rosa’s… do, do I even say it? Yes I will, it’s WRONG. Rosa’s chant for Heka is IAOAIA TIIIO. - Scolopendra, one of my favorite summons from 1, surprisingly correctly spelled. However, it does not mean “dragon of death”. It means “Fallen One”. There is literally no mention of the word “dragon” being in any summon translation. Jeanne’s is fully correct, so good job on that. - I was already expecting Phantasmaraneae to be incorrect, I made a speaking mistake in the past. Thus, I will take it upon myself to educate yall. Phantasmaraneae’s summon for Bayonetta is CASASAM PIADPH, or “Abiding in the Depths of my Jaws“. Jeanne’s is NANAEEL OXEX RACLIR, or “By my power, vomit and weep”. - Also just a thing thrown together, huh? Well, I’ll admit, Sheba’s is a mouthful, so I will just copy and paste these from the wiki. Bayonetta’s is “TELOCVOVIM ADRAMAN AMMA ORS AVAVAGO”, or “Fallen evil spirit, curse the dark thunders!". Jeanne’s is “NANAEEL ADRPAN ADNA ZNRZA OXEX RACLIR, or “By my power I cast you down, swear your obedience, and vomit weeping!". The text in the video doesn’t even line up with the words they speak, try harder. - Labolas, my baby boy Labolas. Good job for not fucking up this one, everyone’s is accurate and correctly spelled. - Mictlantecuhtli is off by a single letter, impressive. The correct spelling is NOQUODI, there’s a U in there. It also just means “servant”, simple as that - REALLY? YOU FUCKED UP BAAL’S? IT S THREE FUCKING LETTERS. XPA. THAT’S IT. XPA. Omne and Queen Sheba are the most powerful demons because they require two summoners. The other ones are equal in power - just used for different circumstances - but it is estimated that Madama Butterfly is Bayonetta's personal favourite because she is her main demon: Most of her guns use Madama Butterfly's arms and legs as Wicked Weaves, she is the most used demon overall - even during a battle such as against Loptr when he throws a meteor, she lends her the butterfly wings for flight, is used in demon masquerade frequently and even takes her shadow. So one can assume that Bayonetta has the most control over all the powers of Madama Butterfly.
However, that doesn't mean that she is the best demon against every enemy: When fighting Justitia, it was the right idea to summon Scolopendra because of its length and strangling ability. Diomedes and Hydra would have also been good choices in that battle, but I doubt Madama Butterfly can do much about a giant flesh ball other than punch/kicking it.

@@akumayoxiruma Queen Sheba was actually summoned by Bayonetta herself, unsure why she was unable to do so beforehand, maybe the power and confidence to fight Aesir’s earthly counterpart, (Tbh they never fill in the difference between Jubelies who is dubbed “the creator” and Aesir The God of the Chaos Realm, so that’s my own interpretation), or her tapping into the Left Eye’s power to create one half of Omne, which is Queen Sheba (guessing if Balder summoned one it would be King so and so). Perhaps it takes an extreme amount of Witch Energy to power up such a demon because it’s not one sitting in hell for Bayo to grab and shove in a portal, it’s a demonic version of herself and her power with the Left Eye, or the Left Eye’s manifestation. So Queen Sheba would be Bayonetta’s most powerful demon to conjure up in a fight, however she would be having to face literally God to store enough energy to unleash the power inside the Left Eye, and while Omne is more powerful being paired with the Right Eye’s King, there are no Lumen Sages left for her to pair up with to perform such a summoning. Madame Butterfly seems to be the next best bet because that’s who Bayonetta contracted when she became endowed into the dark arts, and was able to beat several demons and angels and was one of the only demons to not bust out of control when the Right Eye was destroyed. Labalos is powerful, more powerful than Gomorrah which is a demon that Bayonetta is fond of for good reason, but it also weak enough to be killed by a Sage or Witch.

She doesn’t summon Phantasameare, Scolopendra either and throughout the game you fight all of them, seems there is a demon heirarchy in place with some trying to kill her to re-balance the world by destroying both eyes after one is lost, but some staying loyal

She also fights a horse of Scolopendra right beforehand. Seems there is a heirarchy of demon loyalty, seeing as Gomorrah and Phantasameare and Scolopendra all go after Bayonetta to re-balance the world after the loss of the Right Eye, but Labalos and Madame Butterfly never leave Bayonetta’s side.

Why do the background tracks of some of the summons not match the scenes from the game? Is there a feature I don't know about that let's you play any track from the OST during battle, or were they just edited later?
I kinda suspect those specific parts of the video are played on PC, since playing on PC means you can randomly switch around the OST files.
Of course, post-editings are always a goid answer too.

I know this video is a few years old, but I still have some I would like to clear up for newcomers, in order of appearance:
- PDI BARMA (yes, PDI, not PDEE) does not mean “First Elder”, rather it’s a cacodemon, or “name of a demon” as the wiki states it.
- Rosa’s chant for Gomorrah is ARZULGE, not ARZULE. Spelling matters when summoning otherworldly beings.
- Malphas’ correct chant is ADRAMAN, or “name of Evil Spirit”, not A GRA ORS.
- Ohhh boy, EVERYTHING is wrong for Hekatoncheir. First off, Bayonetta’s chant is the worst of the three, the first word of TWO words should be APACHANA, not whatever the hell the video said. Seriously what were they thinking?? Next, Jeanne’s is just spelled wrong, it should be “ZNRZA”, take away that E right now. Lastly, Rosa’s… do, do I even say it? Yes I will, it’s WRONG. Rosa’s chant for Heka is IAOAIA TIIIO.
- Scolopendra, one of my favorite summons from 1, surprisingly correctly spelled. However, it does not mean “dragon of death”. It means “Fallen One”. There is literally no mention of the word “dragon” being in any summon translation. Jeanne’s is fully correct, so good job on that.
- I was already expecting Phantasmaraneae to be incorrect, I made a speaking mistake in the past. Thus, I will take it upon myself to educate yall. Phantasmaraneae’s summon for Bayonetta is CASASAM PIADPH, or “Abiding in the Depths of my Jaws“. Jeanne’s is NANAEEL OXEX RACLIR, or “By my power, vomit and weep”.
- Also just a thing thrown together, huh? Well, I’ll admit, Sheba’s is a mouthful, so I will just copy and paste these from the wiki. Bayonetta’s is “TELOCVOVIM ADRAMAN AMMA ORS AVAVAGO”, or “Fallen evil spirit, curse the dark thunders!". Jeanne’s is “NANAEEL ADRPAN ADNA ZNRZA OXEX RACLIR, or “By my power I cast you down, swear your obedience, and vomit weeping!". The text in the video doesn’t even line up with the words they speak, try harder.
- Labolas, my baby boy Labolas. Good job for not fucking up this one, everyone’s is accurate and correctly spelled.
- Mictlantecuhtli is off by a single letter, impressive. The correct spelling is NOQUODI, there’s a U in there. It also just means “servant”, simple as that
- REALLY? YOU FUCKED UP BAAL’S? IT S THREE FUCKING LETTERS. XPA. THAT’S IT. XPA. For the people reading (not you op), it means “name of evil spirit”!
- Hydra’s CANILU _is_ correct, good job! Here’s a cookie because it’s so rare to see🍪
- SUNDENNA for Diomedes is also correct! Have another cookie🍪
- Half a cookie for getting Carnage’s translation right, the spelling is SOL-PETAHE, though. No C’s in sight

Fortitudo, my good pal. ZIRACAH is correctly spelled, but the meaning is wrong. It means “Angelic King of the South".
HONONOL is also correctly spelled, but it means “Angelic King of the West" instead. Temperantia would be disappointed.
Sapientia’s OBELISON is correct in both spelling and meaning! Have another cookie🍪
And last, but certainly not least, and quite possibly one of the most depressing misspellings in this entire video, Omne.
Bayonetta’s summon is “ADRAMAN AMMA ORS AVAVAGO”, not whatever concoction you put in the video. As for Balder, ZEDEKIEL is written wrong, and the translation of the correct summon is “Angel of Jupiter, King of the West, the deliverer”.
_Deep breath_ Sweet Sheba I’m glad this video is over, seeing all the misspellings and wrong translations started to annoy me to the point of remaking the entire thing for you. I suggest actually looking into an Enochian dictionary source next time before making a video like this. Have a nice day.
