i really love how most summons have a dance that represents the demons physical appearance. for instance, when bayo summons diomedes (the unicorn demon) she twirls and puts one arm behind her head and one straight up to mimic the unicorn horn, and when she summons Mictlantecuhtli (the bat demon) she squats and spreads her legs and then does the same with her arms, because the demon has 2 separate body parts and has wings for legs

hellena's chants are richer, has more depth and impact thanks to the emphasis on vowels. jen is very much welcomed to the series but hellena made the character. sadly she shot herself on her foot and most likely will never be heard again as bayonetta. so sad
"Shot herself in the foot" is a bit much, especially since only $4k was offered to voice Bayonetta, a Samsung ad offers more(No face, no further advertising, just voice)

The more I replay bayo3, the more I see the failure. She's not good, she tried, but it's not enough. She sounds soft, young and the hit "hia!" sounds way too high pitched
The problem is that Jen has a much higher voice than Hellena. It means that she can’t mimic the power of Hellena’s interpretation, even if she can mimic the tone. It’s also why her battle cries sound so out of place.
Damn Bayonetta 1 and 2 were on a different level when it came to quality with models and stuff. Bayonetta 3 is a really fun game but what makes it fun is the new fun mechanics, the character models and everything else just isn’t there
Bayonettas costume was never this much detailed before. Bayonetta 2 was absolutally beautiful for its time. But the costumes in bayo 3 are much more detailed then in bayo 1 or 2
I'm mad Helena kinda betrayed the character the way she did, especially when she up and lied about it after the fact to try and turn the fans against the company. Despite her coming out as being a nasty person her voice really did fit Bayonetta as a character. Jennifer is good don't get me wrong but her voice comes across as too delicate and not quiet sultry enough versus Helena, especially when we compare the two side by side summoning Gomorrah (Avavago). I get why she tried to negotiate for more but if I was her I would have taken their offer of $15,000 up front and tried to negotiate some residuals, even 0.5% of game sales would have helped her tremendously (if the game sales are upwards of $300,000,000 like she claimed)

When the average pay for voice actors is based upon recording sessions and usually pays $1000 for a 4 hour session at the higher end and Bayonetta 1 was revealed to take 4 sessions to record. Helena's initial offer was $10,000 flat which was raised to $15,000 after she didn't accept at first. When she rejected that offer they moved onto Jennifer. If she didn't try and fight for six figures she MIGHT have been able to get the residuals on top of the $15,000. In the world of voice acting and just voice acting they're not paid very much unfortunately. The lead Voice Actor from GTA IV made six figures because he also did motion capture for his character which took significantly longer totaling about 15 months worth of time. A voice actor on Breath of the Wild recorded the voices for 3 characters in an undisclosed amount of studio time but his total pay was just $4000. The ONLY time you see Voice Actors getting paid significantly more than these rates is when you're dealing with celebrities from other fields like movie stars or singers who can get six figures per session but at the same time their fame also can help draw their fans to the final product, like Shawn Mendes voicing Lyle Lyle Crocodile, I'm willing to bet ticket sales got a significant boost because his fans went to see it.

@Good For Nutting that’s the thing. This Bayonetta is much less mature than the other two, so her voice was most likely intentionally made to be less strong and sexy.
I mean, Bayonetta is literally the same person in each of the timelines. It would be perfectly normal, and in fact expected, that she would have the same voice. That said, we don’t need a lore justification for why Jen took over the role. It’s unfortunate, given that a Hellena truly did make the role, but it’s entirely reasonable. I don’t think she did a perfect job, but it was certainly serviceable. If she reprises the role again, I imagine Jen will make some changes to fit the role a bit better.

Yeah, a lot of these demons do have actual titles. I mean, for example, Gomorrah is called 'Devourer of the Divine' and Phantasmaraneae has the title 'Spinner of Flame'.

While in Bayo 1 and 2 it felt like they took every opportunity for it. I do wonder if 2022-Nintendo said you can't be as expressive enemy compared to 2014-Nintendo or if it was just a direction the designers wanted to take now but it does lose a little bit of charm for me. No don't worry, I too felt like she was tamer in that game. The sole exception was during the first fight against Strider, and mostly came out as kinda awkward.

While I fully believe that Bayo 3 is the best in the series, I have to admit that it has nowhere near enough incantations (and that there isn't enough Labolas and Diomedes).
I love how she is able to say "In the name of Bayonetta" to summon sin demons. It's like when the Joker used that thing that answers any question, and asked what is Batman's real identity, and it actually answered saying "Batman" like Bruce is the secondary identity. Cereza is Bayonetta.

The effects in Bayo 3 are so chaotic. I haven't even played the game, and I can barely tell what's going on in a lot of the clips I've seen. I think they could've refined the visual effects for everything to be a bit less flashy...

Well in 1 and 2 she had to make do with materializing the demon out of her hair, similar to making a paper airplane. While in 3 she straight up call them out from hell then mega evolve them, while also fusing together with them. In 1 and 2 the enemy were relatively small and the action were quick pace, while in 3 they are colossal so a hair makeshift demon wouldn't be powerful enough

I've always loved how serving god has always been portrayed as blind worship, yet in the Beyonetta series, witchcraft and contracts with demons is always tied to dancing and the expression of oneself.
Bayo1 is..... damn it sure share with other PS3 game that grain yellow filter. One look made it clear that it is a Ps3 game. It sure is stylish though and a remaster with HD graphic would cover most of the graphic problem. Bayo2.... well, it covers the technical limit of WiiU with pure style. But if you glanced slightly, you can see the WiiU-ness of the model. It sure is more colorful than Bayo1. Bayo3 looks like Switch game and it does looks modern compared to the other Bayo. I question their choice on making all of Homunculus have the same color scheme so you can't differentiate one with the other. If they put more color and style, it'll be the best Bayo in term of graphic
I mean... angels were all white and gold while demons were black, red, and blue. The Homunculus all being blue and grey makes sense given that context.

I know some would say the angels also use light tone colors, but I'd argue as long as it's not a pastel color any color can be paired with white to make a striking design. The gold is a sharp contract to the marble/porcelain white. Not to say the silvery grey and spectral teal colors don't work great together, but as you said they're too similar in tone. The neon blue ribbons some of the Homunculi like the Floccus helps them, it's really just because neon colors are sharp and contrasting in their own right. Again grey and teal is a nice combination, but a little too close in tone.

I'm mad Helena kinda betrayed the character the way she did, especially when she up and lied about it after the fact to try and turn the fans against the company. Despite her coming out as being a nasty person her voice really did fit Bayonetta as a character. Jennifer is good don't get me wrong but her voice comes across as too delicate and not quiet sultry enough versus Helena, especially when we compare the two side by side summoning Gomorrah (Avavago). I get why she tried to negotiate for more but if I was her I would have taken their offer of $15,000 up front and tried to negotiate some residuals, even 0.5% of game sales would have helped her tremendously (if the game sales are upwards of $300,000,000 like she claimed)
Nah the company fucked up by not paying Hellena what she's worth. Jen sounds like a cheap knock off. Period.

When the average pay for voice actors is based upon recording sessions and usually pays $1000 for a 4 hour session at the higher end and Bayonetta 1 was revealed to take 4 sessions to record. Helena's initial offer was $10,000 flat which was raised to $15,000 after she didn't accept at first. When she rejected that offer they moved onto Jennifer. If she didn't try and fight for six figures she MIGHT have been able to get the residuals on top of the $15,000.
In the world of voice acting and just voice acting they're not paid very much unfortunately. The lead Voice Actor from GTA IV made six figures because he also did motion capture for his character which took significantly longer totaling about 15 months worth of time. A voice actor on Breath of the Wild recorded the voices for 3 characters in an undisclosed amount of studio time but his total pay was just $4000.
The ONLY time you see Voice Actors getting paid significantly more than these rates is when you're dealing with celebrities from other fields like movie stars or singers who can get six figures per session but at the same time their fame also can help draw their fans to the final product, like Shawn Mendes voicing Lyle Lyle Crocodile, I'm willing to bet ticket sales got a significant boost because his fans went to see it.

@Good For Nutting that’s the thing. This Bayonetta is much less mature than the other two, so her voice was most likely intentionally made to be less strong and sexy.
Jen sounds too soft and demure, it was hard for me to finish the game without cringing at parts where I thought she needed to step up with the sass.

I mean, Bayonetta is literally the same person in each of the timelines. It would be perfectly normal, and in fact expected, that she would have the same voice. That said, we don’t need a lore justification for why Jen took over the role. It’s unfortunate, given that a Hellena truly did make the role, but it’s entirely reasonable. I don’t think she did a perfect job, but it was certainly serviceable. If she reprises the role again, I imagine Jen will make some changes to fit the role a bit better.
Diomedes was by far my favorite summon. Im sad we didn't get him in Bayo 3...

They went a lot less lewd in Bayo3, you only see Bayo "naked" during her summoning a couple of times in Bayo3.
While in Bayo 1 and 2 it felt like they took every opportunity for it. I do wonder if 2022-Nintendo said you can't be as expressive enemy compared to 2014-Nintendo or if it was just a direction the designers wanted to take now but it does lose a little bit of charm for me.

While I fully believe that Bayo 3 is the best in the series, I have to admit that it has nowhere near enough incantations (and that there isn't enough Labolas and Diomedes).
I love how she is able to say "In the name of Bayonetta" to summon sin demons. It's like when the Joker used that thing that answers any question, and asked what is Batman's real identity, and it actually answered saying "Batman" like Bruce is the secondary identity. Cereza is Bayonetta.
Bayo 3 really isnt the best out of the trilogy but damn i love how all of the demons looked, their designes especially Madama Butterfly she looked so lack luster in the previous games im soooo happy she had an upgrade:)

The effects in Bayo 3 are so chaotic. I haven't even played the game, and I can barely tell what's going on in a lot of the clips I've seen.

Well in 1 and 2 she had to make do with materializing the demon out of her hair, similar to making a paper airplane. While in 3 she straight up call them out from hell then mega evolve them, while also fusing together with them.
In 1 and 2 the enemy were relatively small and the action were quick pace, while in 3 they are colossal so a hair makeshift demon wouldn't be powerful enough

Bayo1 is..... damn it sure share with other PS3 game that grain yellow filter. One look made it clear that it is a Ps3 game. It sure is stylish though and a remaster with HD graphic would cover most of the graphic problem.
Bayo2.... well, it covers the technical limit of WiiU with pure style. But if you glanced slightly, you can see the WiiU-ness of the model. It sure is more colorful than Bayo1.
Bayo3 looks like Switch game and it does looks modern compared to the other Bayo. I question their choice on making all of Homunculus have the same color scheme so you can't differentiate one with the other. If they put more color and style, it'll be the best Bayo in term of graphic
I mean... angels were all white and gold while demons were black, red, and blue. The Homunculus all being blue and grey makes sense given that context.
@@caiusdrakegaming8087 Hmmm then let me rephrase it, the Homunculus color scheme are too close in tone (they're all light tone) they need one more sharper dark color to balance it or just straight up use dark green.
@@HadeaRin Okay, that I can agree with. I know some would say the angels also use light tone colors, but I'd argue as long as it's not a pastel color any color can be paired with white to make a striking design. The gold is a sharp contract to the marble/porcelain white. Not to say the silvery grey and spectral teal colors don't work great together, but as you said they're too similar in tone. The neon blue ribbons some of the Homunculi like the Floccus helps them, it's really just because neon colors are sharp and contrasting in their own right. Again grey and teal is a nice combination, but a little too close in tone.
@@HadeaRin it's because in lore the Homunculi are all man made bioweapons with no ways to different them all besides shape and some mutations (the purple ones)
