I cannot believe they took someone as clever, witty, courageous and perceptive as Jeanne is and reduced her to someone who cannot predict a betrayal, or worst, a backstab from a man in an egg carrier. They did her so dirty and I'm so bitter for it, if there's someone who deserves everything in the world for her constant sacrifice towards both Cereza and the umbran witches is JEANNE. BRING MY GIRL BACK.

I liked her look in 2 but her short hair and circus make up style in Bayo 1 is forever iconic for me, it's just so stylish
Bayonetta 1 had the most iconic designs, even though everyone prefers 2 designs I always enjoyed Jeanne with the short hair and Bayonetta with the long hair. Plus the fact her final outfit is Bayonetta but white like she’s drop dead beautiful! I do also love Bayonetta’s design as well it’s like a classic witch except extremely sexy.
Jeanne's makeup in Bayonetta 1 is a reference to the mod subculture of the 60's, inspired by popular fashion models like Twiggy. If you look up images of Twiggy you'll see the striking resemblance. Jeanne's new outfit in Bayonetta 3 is also inspired by the 60s mod fashion, but this time camped up to the extreme with bold and clashing patterns. It's a nice nod to Jeanne's personal tastes and style (60s fashion) while still making her distinct enough to be an 'alternate universe' Jeanne.

that ain't short hair. It's called a side bun. I mean princess Leya from Star Wars wore that. It was also a popular hairstyle during medieval times, which is what she wore. It references the time of Jeanne D'Arc and how saintesses or holy maidens or princesses are depicted.
I think jeannes story in bayeontta 3 is so tragic. She got her own mission and all it did was lead her to her own death. She didn’t achieve anything except help that stupid fkn doctor with his plan unknowingly. My girl deserves all the justice in the world
She deserves a cutie jay spin off were she fights crime , teaches some of here students magic and hits it off for real with the good sigard that got sacrificed by singularity.

Ikr. I was thinking the same thing. There was no freaking way she would just blindly trust Sigurd enough to drop her guard fully down. And then for them to just kill her in a way that made absolutely zero sense. She would have had her guard up around Sigurd and imo, would have totally dodged that cheap attack he threw at her from behind. If she really had to die (which imo she didn't), she should have gone down fighting.
In Bayonetta 2 she died at the beginning so easy as well

Jeanne asked Viola why she trusts sigurd so much in the beginning of SC2 and she says its because he and singularity are the same person basically its just that they didn't know that was THE singularity so that's been answered for you.

Jeanne was an amazing character. She went to being Bayonetta’s rival in 1 to being called sister in 2 and 3. They really did her dirty with her treatment. I wouldn’t be surprised though if there was a 4th installment but Jeanne came back as a re-incarnate, clone or even had a daughter of her own
I really think about that... But when Bayonetta kill Singularity, a lot of part of the fandom says the other worls was restored. If this was true, Our Jeanne too revived, and in a new game she can come back like a professor to Viola !

It is heavily implied all universes have been restored along with all the living beings on them. The only people that aren’t back to how they were before are bayo and luka.

Jeanne's outfit color schemes in Bayo 3 is fine, but has too many things going on, which look like a mess. Stripes top, floral stocking, spotted coat, pattern scarf on guns...it's just too much. Guess it would be less messy, if the gun scarf and top is using only plain colors.

Lula's scarf at the end. It kinda ties it together a little better, making it clear she's supposed to be a giant kaleidoscope of colours, fitting with Cheshire.
"has too many things going on, which look like a mess" summarizes this game as a whole. It has some good parts but the plot is hot garbage, characters behave like a virgin japanese man's wet dream and the constant disrespect to Jeanne is way too much for me.
I can't believe you can only play her in extra chapters and training. As soon as the story started to tank I just wanted to finish the game so that I could replay story levels with Jeanne. I spent 5 minutes looking for the select character screen before I realized that they removed the ability to do that. I don't want to wish for DLC but it seems to be the only sliver of a chance we'll get something like that added back 🥴 would have loved to play as ancient Cairo Jeanne too
Also no alternate costumes for her like in Bayo 2. Couldn't they just import the models like they did for Bayonetta? Would love to have her in her Bayo 1 and 2 designes or even Cutie J since that is in the game as well
@@maddinzf7967 The worst part is the Bayonetta 2 Model was used for Jeanne Beta-1... So, just recolor the damn model back and add it to her costumes. Same with Jeanne Beta-3/Egyptian Jeanne. No Jeanne roster is complete without Cutie J, either.
Idc who disagrees the first bayonetta was the best and set such a high standard for the rest of the games that they didn’t reach. I do like the additional fighting features and lore however of the new games
I agree. It’s the best game out of the three. It has an amazing soundtrack, amazing gameplay and an amazing final boss. Also the lore they included In notebooks and the accessories description is so cool. Jeanne isn’t glossed over in 1, in fact she’s the second most important character in the whole game, she’s the reason Bayo’s alive.

Her Bayo 3 design is very maximalist high fashion of today (like Gucci) with an obvious 70s and mod inspo. The developers are getting a strange amount of hate from fans- they didnt want to put Jeanne in yet another bodysuit.

@@kaikobird those colors jeann has on are all over the place and constantly clashing with each other on screen hurting my eyeballs with the loudness. Her makeup as well very dramatic, loud and colorful. High fashion would be Jeannes bayo 1 concept designs imo.
@@lewinski8147 the actual french name of Joan of Arc is Jeanne d'Arc and she was accuse of being a Witch, and since she's 500+yo is pretty safe to say that she's the true Jeanne d'Arc of the Bayonetta universe since the execution of Jeanne d'Arc happened more than 500 years ago and by that Time Jeanne could've easily help the french army when she was a "teenager" (for witches standards)

Well if the theories of others confirmed, Brave Cereza danced to restore the verses hence she was the only one variant who defeated Singularity. So Jeanne is alive but our dear sweet Cereza is the one gone unless Luka kept her safe hence he was Lukaon's relative or something

-chinese jeanne is nowhere to be found because its one of the timelines where jeanne is a little bit different she's rather an empress so fighting is not her thing... so bayo there is a commander of armies
-Egyptian jeanne is supposed to be the arch eve of the timeline but supposidely it should be bayo but egypt bayo is more scared than others and treated as a princess... once jeanne died the title arch-eve was given to egypt bayo when she decides to be brave for once
-french bayo's weapon "Abra cadabra" is just a mix of jeanne's and her supposidely bayos hat and cane is gold and red while jeanne's is silver and blue considering how it worked the only survivors in that timeline is her mom and herself (also balder was prolly dead too because he protected rosa from dying... hence the glass thing on rosa's eye)

B3 Jeanne has my favorite design. It really leans into high fashion the most with the fur coat and the coloured tights. B2 Jeanne design looks too monochromatic for me

I love it too as well. Seeing as how both Bayo and Jeanne are coded as highly fashion-centric characters, Jeanne's outfit in 3 feels like something a real fashionista (especially one who has lived through so many periods of modern fashion) would wear with that somewhat exaggerated touch of avant-garde/camp that said fashion tend to have, as they often are, or are depicted as, quite eccentric

Bayonetta 2 is the best game in series from character designs to story is the best. Bayonetta 3 is honestly a waste of time the only aspect i like about the game is gameplay and expolration. I fucking hate viola she is my worst nightmare and to past her off as bayonetta's kid OH my fucking GOd! The only child of bayonetta is joker. lol The only thing that makes me feels halfway comfortable about the whole deal is it's an alternate univers and that Our Bayo is fine with Jeanne.
I truly despised her missions in Bayonetta 3 so much to the point where i felt nothong when she got killed at the end, like i did enjoy her in the first and second games but the stupid sidescrolling stealth missions.... ugh
