That being said, that was already proven in the first game, as little Cereza forms an attachment to Luka, who she calls Cheshire after her toy, and a fondness for lollipops, which Luka gives her. So, I'm not really sure what they're going on about, as Bayonetta from the first game is already the grown version of the Cereza we meet in the first game.

Both lost their parents at around the same age(Lukaon literally lost both parents too in the end) Both were also shunned by their own kind the moment they were born.(well lukaon being half fairy and human) Its these events that make them understood each other more than anyone else.
